   First time at this local bistro near my GFs apartment. We were very hungry and 90 minutes early for our reservation; yet the seated us without hesitation. Our bartender who also put in our food orders was very helpful and friendly as was wait staff. Food was delicious with generous portions; we were so full and satisfied at the end of the evening. Price reasonable given all the food and drink we had. We will be back…

   Food is excellent, very interesting dishes, we had the burrata and pumpkin and smoked mozzarella arancini to start, both were excellent. The smoke mozzarella and pumpkin combination was great. We had the tagliatelle with crab and chilis, great flavors and the pumpkin ricotta carmelles which were also well prepared and delicious. Great wine selections too. The only negative was that our table Could have used a tablecloth on table to improve the ambiance.

   Got seated in the back room down the stairs. That was strike one. The elderly waitress was very abrupt and at times rude. It was my twins bday and after I purchased the special order in advance 27 dollar peach desert I was told if we wanted a candle we would need to buy a piece of cake.. we spent 600 dollars on the dinner for the four of us and they had a hard time with a candle. Finally, adding insult to injury they added 20 bucks onto the bill for me to use my AE card. Food was delicious BUT really?

   Been here a few times, the food and drinks are amazing! Only issue is that it seems overpriced (the most inexpensive pasta dish is $34, it goes up from there). But it is delicious!

   Delicious food! We got the butternut squash caramelle in the browb butter sauce with sage and it was delicious. We also got the special of the day which was a gnocchi with goat cheese, grapes, and a balsamic vinaigrette on top with chopped pistachios! Both dishes were delicious!

    Our second visit to Sfoglia - this is a very, very good restaurant. Great atmosphere, service, and food. The Fusilli Col Buco is wonderful, and the Chicken Al Mattone is absolutely worth a special trip.

    The evening got a bit too noisy. It was predominantly due to 1 very loud table. I don't know how one manages a loud group, but it did make it very hard for my friends and I to have a conversation.

    Everything was amazing! The seasonal dishes were fantastic! We had the pumpkin arancini which was delicious and gave such cozy warm fall vibes. My friend and I both got different pasta mains that were delicious. The food the service the cocktails and wine all met or exceeded our expectations! Definitely on the pricier side, but definitely worth it if you’re in the mood for a nicer meal! One of the best restaurant I’ve been to in the upper east side/ Yorkville area!

    Everything was good (as usual) BUT the surprise when we got the check that a 3% credit card penalty was being charged is outrageous, especially when there is no conspicuous notice of this in advance of dining. Your prices have already gone up so this was adding insult to injury. You will lose regular customers because of this and you should rethink it. “Everyone is doing it” is not an excuse.

    This restaurant is an absolute hidden gem. I had dined here post pandemic and was curious to see how it weathered the storm. My boyfriend and I had an exquisite meal here. I highly recommend the Bolognese (paired with a glass of the Montepulciano... to die for). It is simply amazing. We split the burrata and thoroughly enjoyed it. Every single thing we had from cocktails, to appetizers, to entrees and dessert, Sfoglia is a solid 12 out of 10!

    I saw Sfoglia recommended on the infatuation so I thought I’d try it. The food was very disappointing. The Cesar salad was drenched in dressing, the pasta was over cooked and the brussel sprouts were disgusting. I would not recommend it

    I am a huge fan of Sfoglia’s food, but I was disappointed in the branzino offering because of the broth. The fish was perfectly cooked, with crispy skin but the contorni were floating in broth.

    A solid neighborhood choice for always tasty fresh Italian fare in generous enough portions Attentive service, friendly ambiance. Only serious drawback is no wine bottles under $85. Feels unnecessarily exclusionary and restrictive. Otherwise, well done! Guests have always enjoyed their meals.

    Our first time eating at Sfoglia in 6 months. It had been a favorite pre-pandemic. We had a very long wait between being served water and when our server appeared to take our order. I first became anxious when the loaves of bread were overcooked (ie burned). Another long wait until the primi. The fusilli seemed to wave in an unseen wind. I couldn't recognize any of the other ingredients and it had a quite unpleasant taste. We had ordered the pear tarte with gelato ahead of time. Another very long wait and when I asked our server, she said "Oh yes, the pear tarte." as if she had forgotten to take it from the oven. (It was burned on the bottom as if to offer proof that it had been forgotten). I mentioned that the bottom was burned but she didn't hear or chose not to respond, bringing out the bill immediately. I had hoped it would be subtracted from the bill but no.

    The ambiance was fine and we had a fantastic bread pudding for dessert. I found the prices, though, to be high and the pasta I had to be mediocre. I love a simple tomato pasta and make it frequently. For $28 I expected to get a real treat but instead got a dish that was decidedly ordinary. My wife was happier with her lemon chicken and we both loved the bread pudding.

    Some friends from Chicago recommended this place and it was exceptional! I don’t know what they do to that Caesar salad but it was THE BEST one I’ve ever had, y’all. Hoooo boy. And the brick chicken is the stuff of dreams. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked and seasoned like a little Italian grandma would make it. Our server was fantastic and the wine list is great. Highly recommend!

    Creative Italian cuisine. Our table of four started with arancini and then shared two pastas and two entrees served family style. Be sure to advance order bread pudding soufflé. Warm welcome from staff. Our server assiduously crumbed the table between courses, which unfortunately is not the norm.

    From the moment we walked in the door of the waiter and the rest of the staff were pushing us to hurry up and leave so they coukd sell the table to others. They were extremely pushy , we felt unwelcome. The food came too quickly but it’s not supposed to be McDonald’s ..it was a far from leisurely dinner with a friend we haven’t seen for three years. I would not go back. Also the wine list started at around $100 and was nothing bright which made our meal extremely expensive even though we didn’t over order. Food was ok but not extraordinary. Hostess was nice.
