Seviche A Latin Restaurant - Highlands
We have just completed an extensive renovation and expansion. New features include updated bar area, cocktail lounge, state of the art restrooms and 60 person private dining room.
This is seriously exceptional food! I can say that all at our table felt it was one of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. Everything was fresh, unique and delicious. Scallops were perfection and the desserts are not to be missed. Never have I had desserts with a whimsical sense of humor. Don’t miss Avocado ice cream or “black” cherry ice cream. Even the valet service is top shelf. Treat yourself - you won’t regret it.
I've loved Seviche from the time it began as Jicama Grille. Last night was the most disappointing experience I've had. Seviche is expensive, and when paying premium prices, I expect great food, great service, and ambiance. The food was expertly prepared, as usual. The service was fine. But the ambiance last night was horrible. I made reservations for indoor dining a week in advance. It rained, and Seviche appeared to cram the outdoor reservations indoors by setting up dining in its private events room. Our table was in this bland, window-less, and loud room. I felt like we were in a Hilton Garden Inn conference room. It was so disappointing. When spending $100 / person, there can be some misses while delivering a great experience. But sitting in this space could not be overcome. It may be a while before I return because I have no desire to ever be shoved into such a horrible space at that price point.
End of school year celebration with the family- always delicious and something on the menu for everyone.
Perfect birthday venue for good friends.
Everything was good. I will be back.
Fabulous as always! Out waitress, Kathy was wonderful as well!
Rated service 3 only because of our wait-person getting lost... requiring me to get up to have someone find her. The manager made it right!
Always amazing food! Everyone got something different and everyone was completely impressed! Unique blends and lots of variety to satisfy everyone’s taste preferences! Love watching Bardstown Rd go by.
Good and drinks were really good. Took a while for servers to come around, but were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend it for a nice night out.
Fabulous, per usual!
Excellent, unique option in the Highlands that continues to innovate its menu. The weather was perfect to sit outside, which is nice except for the rather loud traffic from Bardstown Rd next door. Overall service was on the slow side but very pleasant and exact.
A bit disappointed with the service from the time we arrived until several minutes after we were seated. When I made the reservation I wasn’t aware that it was buffet only. Not that it would have made a difference but the hostess didn’t mention it. We also waited a few minutes before we were initially greeted at the hostess stand. Not what we would normally experience at thus higher end restaurant. The food was good and our server was good once he got to our table.
Absolutely perfection! Everything was perfect, the service, the appetizers, the wonderful drinks, the exceptional food. The steak was delicious. I can’t wait to go back.
Outstanding! Every dish was delicious. Great service and a nice atmosphere.
Have been to this restaurant many times through the years and the food is always excellent.
Since this was a Special occasion (45th Wedding Anniversary) and had stated that on the reservation, I had hoped there might be a dessert or some acknowledgment of the occasion.
Server did an ok job and did say Happy Anniversary, but didn’t go any further.
For the money, I guess I expected more.
Excellent food and service. Swordfish was superb, and Halibut always is excellent.
This is our favorite restaurant in Louisville! Actually, it’s our favorite restaurant anywhere! The food is always amazing and the service is always great!
It was Derby week so prices I presume were jacked up as I've never paid $42 for skirt steak but it was incredibly good.
Initially my reservation was cancelled by the restaurant. When I called to ask they indicated I had not confirmed so it was cancelled. I didn’t see any request or call to confirm. The reservation was reinstated when I supplied my credit card.
The restaurant had several open tables when we arrived. We were seated quickly for our reservation. We placed our drink order after our second visit from our server. We placed our order and the food came out quickly. We had the calamari and Seviche for our first course. Our second course came out just as we finished with our first. They brought my husband the wrong entree. It was one he was considering so he agreed to keep it in lieu of waiting while my meal was there and hot. The server never acknowledged the mistake nor was our bill adjusted as a result. Our server was infrequent bat best once we placed our order. We never had an opportunity to as for a second cocktail. They brought us out a complimentary dessert for my birthday, which was nice and delicious. We had an early reservation and it really felt like the goal was to turn our table for a later reservation. There were two tables near us who were there when we arrived and still dining when we left. I was impressed with the food, not the service. What you pay for a dining experience I expected more.
Took my girlfriend for her birthday dinner...we had a wonderful time, and of course the food was excellent. By the end of the night it was a party in the corner with a couple of other tables joining in...Great time and the service was great too!
A lovely evening on the patio! Delicious food and terrific service!
This restaurant was recommended by a good friend. Since it was the beginning of Derby week not sure if we could get in. As it turned out a Table was available at 8 o’clock. The food and service were outstanding and I would highly recommend to all.
Poor service, food wasn’t as expected.
Wonderful food as always. The service was not as good as I would have liked. Took a while for our server to wait o us and follow up was hit or miss.
We love Seviche. Our main issue was twofold: first the online menu had items that hadn’t been offered since 2018 and wouldn’t be til June (shishito peppers and grilled romaine lettuce)...
Second the current menu had items on it that stated “fall vegetables” when clearly we are in mid-spring. While what we were offered was up to par we came in looking for shishito peppers as their online menu stated. After over 50 visits to Seviche we know what we like and when it was stated online that they had it we got quite excited. Just a total letdown that the online menu is outdated and the restaurant menu is also outdated.
I’ve eaten at Seviche many times and it has always been great. This time was not. Our food was well over cooked and charred beyond belief. They seemed to be under staffed as it took forever to get a drink, water refill, and check. I will still go back, but hoping for a better experience next time for the price.
Best meal in Louisville. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a great dining experience.
Great fresh food. Even better drink. This place is great for al fresco dining when the weather cooperates.
Best guacamole around. Grouper fabulous
One of my favorite spots in town for years. Fantastic food, service and management.
Great experience. Food was excellent!
Chris our server was great and food was delicious
A fantastic experience. The food is excellent, with several unique dishes that are all nicely prepared and presented, along with some standard fare that's also updated and fresh. The rest of the experience balances that, with great ambience and fantastic service. On that last point, Marge was an absolutely outstanding server who made our evening memorable well beyond the food.
This place should definitely be added to the agenda for anyone in, or travelling to, Louisville.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and amazing service! We will most definitely be back.
Meal was very good. Especially the grouper and tres leches dessert
Most of the dishes we had were tasty, but they were pretty overpriced.
Our two entrees were $39 when they should have been about $24 (taste/quality-wise).
It was our first time at Seviche and we loved everything about it - appitizer, salads, entrees and dessert! All phenomenal!
