Seviche A Latin Restaurant - Highlands
We have just completed an extensive renovation and expansion. New features include updated bar area, cocktail lounge, state of the art restrooms and 60 person private dining room.
I’ve eaten at Seviche many times and it has always been great. This time was not. Our food was well over cooked and charred beyond belief. They seemed to be under staffed as it took forever to get a drink, water refill, and check. I will still go back, but hoping for a better experience next time for the price.
Best meal in Louisville. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a great dining experience.
Great fresh food. Even better drink. This place is great for al fresco dining when the weather cooperates.
Best guacamole around. Grouper fabulous
One of my favorite spots in town for years. Fantastic food, service and management.
Great experience. Food was excellent!
Chris our server was great and food was delicious
A fantastic experience. The food is excellent, with several unique dishes that are all nicely prepared and presented, along with some standard fare that's also updated and fresh. The rest of the experience balances that, with great ambience and fantastic service. On that last point, Marge was an absolutely outstanding server who made our evening memorable well beyond the food.
This place should definitely be added to the agenda for anyone in, or travelling to, Louisville.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and amazing service! We will most definitely be back.
Meal was very good. Especially the grouper and tres leches dessert
Most of the dishes we had were tasty, but they were pretty overpriced.
Our two entrees were $39 when they should have been about $24 (taste/quality-wise).
It was our first time at Seviche and we loved everything about it - appitizer, salads, entrees and dessert! All phenomenal!
The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because of the 30 minute wait we had when we had a reservation.
With out a doubt my favorite restaurant in town. Always recommend it to anyone looking for a special place. Food is outstanding and service is excellent and always with a smile.
Service was horrible. Despite arriving early, we waited almost 2.5 hours - during which everyone only had a couple of drinks a piece. They forgot half the table's food, leaving us starving and our dining partners' food to go cold (out of courtesy). When food did arrive, it was overcooked and warm as though it'd been sitting out. We paid a pretty penny for this, and were not at all happy with how it turned out.
The best Seviche ever! Always so beautiful and tasty! Tuna Old Fashion was my favorite! Pricey but worth it. Also had the Cadillac margarita! Fabulous!
This restaurant is my choice when I want everything to go perfect and just relax. Are usually take people there from out of town they’re always pleasantly surprised
Delicious food as always!
Great food and Great Experience!
The menu was had something for everyone. I really liked my pork chop. The glaze was really nicely done. The spicy greens and cheesey grits paired be well.
Food was excellent as was the service. For a party of nine, the noise level was high which made for difficult business conversation. I would highly recommend for a smaller group.
I asked to be seated in the “front room” by the window when I made a reservation a week out. Once AGAIN the request was ignored. I am not sure whether this is Open Table’s issue or Seviche. None the less I guess I will have to call Chef Lamas directly to make the request. I would understand not being able to accommodate if I were a walk-in but you had a week.
I ordered the rib eye special. It was pretty good, quite a bit of fat and the knife they give you requires some work to cut it up. My wife ordered the tuna special and it was delicious. Normally we eat there in the summer and sit outside. This was the first time we've been seated in the back area. It was very nice. Noise level was low and the overall ambience was very pleasant.
Seviche now rates in our Top 10 of All-time Favorite Restaurants. The entire dining experience was outstanding! Dishes were creative and artistically presented. The food tasted as good as it looked, beautiful and flavorful. Chef Anthony came out and spoke with us, the wait staff was top notch, and the atmosphere was hip. We will definitely return!
Third time to visit and every time has been stellar. Had a party of 4....4 different entrees....3 apps....all excellent! Our waiter , Ben , knowledgeable and attentive. Absolutely no complaints. Becoming a go to restaurant!
Perfect as always! Great service, great food. One of my favorite restaurants in town. I had the pork porterhouse. Delicious.
It was our first visit to Seviche. Our waitress Catherine was outstanding very informative and attentive. Our food was fabulous. The calamari was absolutely delicious. We split a salad that was very unique and very tasty. My husband got the pork chop and it was delicious he ate every single bit of it. I got the skirt steak and they were very happy to sub out asparagus for the potatoes. We will definitely be back to try other things and it was overall a great experience!
Buen lugar . Relajado y comida rica.
Everything about this place is amazing. The food, the service, the cocktails. We had tickets to a show and asked to be done by a certain time to make the show and they went out of their way to ensure we had plenty of time to make it to the show! Highly recommend!
Food and server were excellent. It did take a while to get initial drinks, but over all very good.
We had heard great things about this place and were looking forward to dining here. Our first impression was that the decor and menu were both dated, but that can sometimes mean that a place is just focused on delivering great food without trying to be trendy. Our server was very friendly but the overall service was disjointed. Cocktails and apps arrived quickly and were finished before we saw our server again to order wine and entrees. The entrees came quickly (but were oddly cold) but our wine arrived about 20 minutes later.
We tried the special ceviche (which was more of a tartare style) and tuna ceviche from the menu. The tuna was fresh for both, but we didn’t love either one in terms of playing or seasoning. Both were very overdressed. We had scallops and the skirt steak entrees, both suggested by the server. There were 3 over cooked scallops but the majority of the plate was a gloppy cheesy mess of couscous. The steak was ok and we both loved the chimichurri.
We could have hit an off night, but I think for $40 we expected something different.
Anthony is so sweet and engaging. And his food is delicious. We loved everything we had. Pricy.
Serviche has always been my "go to" state of the art restaurant for Louisville. What happened last Friday? I do not know. I was mystified!. Although the service was attentive and congenial, the quality of the menu diversity was boring and repetitively consistent. Where was the flair and panache of the past? I seemed as if the offerings were a drab and mundane as the weather outside. It was expected and uninspired. No one food was out standing. I was so disappointed as I have been using this eatery as a place to bring out of town corporate guests in the past. What do I do now?
Dinner was great and service was fantastic, only problem was we were seated close to the entrance. Everytime the door opened the temperature dropped 15 degrees. If it was a colder night we would be dining with our jackets on.
Great as usual!
Food was excellent!
It was my wife’s 50th Birthday celebration. I’m fairly new to Louisville and I must admit I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service and cuisine. Highly recommend this establishment for fine dining!
Birthday celebration days after Valentines Day and they were still on the limited And overpriced Valentines menu.
Additionally, we were verbally accosted by another guest for being openly gay. Just as my large party finished singing “Happy Birthday”, the candle was burning down on my partner’s celebratory dessert, as an unruly guest grabbed my same-sex female partner by her shoulders and loudly with his violent character got into her face (at our reserved table) told her that he was going to give his son to her for the night. His son sat there with his 2 children and wife without saying a word. We made it clear that his interruption was unwelcome. The staff stood by and did nothing. I can’t support this.
Not happy with limited menu and jacked-up prices for Valentine's Day. They did the same for Oaks Day evening. I understand the need for a limited menu because of volume but made reservations three weeks in advance and no notice (no email, no call, nothing) was given. We're "stuck" out with no where else to go so we had to deal with higher prices and limited choices (only ONE salad choice). I absolutely LOVE Seviche but will NEVER go on a "special" occasion again.
As always, the food was delicious. Every bit of it. Arguably the best food in Louisville. Our server didn’t find us to take a drink order for more than 10 minutes. It was another 15 minutes before our drinks arrived. The bartender was overwhelmed, we were told. Regardless, that’s excessive when you’ve been itching for that first martini all afternoon! From there, all was smooth and tasty. In general, you can expect generous pours at Seviche, delicious food, and a lively setting, it has never disappointed.
