Sorry - not a restaurant for toddlers! Please. The chef made a special vegetarian dish which I appreciated - but they added mushrooms which I specifically asked be left out. A little limited menu.

Great service and view.

We went here for brunch and we were not disappointed! Excellent choices on the buffet, and everything was delicious. The only complaint I had was that the beignets were over cooked. Bloody Mary’s were amazing. I’m sure in the spring and summer the water view is stunning.

We closed down the restaurant on a snowy Saturday. Service was fantastic. We really enjoyed the helpful suggestions from our server and loved every item we were served. Food was really delicious but we didn't save room for dessert. Would be nice to return for a sunny meal on the dock in nice weather.

Over all good experience. Cream of Crab Soup was not hot and had to ask for sherry. Entrees were good and decent portions. Server was polite and adequate, more of an order taker. I would expect a bit more at a higher end restaurant.

The crab soup had a good amount of crab and the sea bass and the rockfish were both really well prepared. The service was very very good.

I wanted to take my wife somewhere different, we usually go to Ruths Chris or Lewnes Stake house for special occasions. Have always wanted to eat at the Severn Inn but it was usually closed so I thought. To our delight we thoroughly enjoyed the evening, the food was fabulous and the service was outstanding. We will be coming back

The flavors we're excellent and everything was done just right. It could have been a little hotter, though, upon delivery to the table. Service was good, but we could have used a little more attention during the meal.
Our orders were taken on a handheld computer, which is fine, but so is payment. Consequently, the server stands over you during the decision about gratuity. This is a bit much. I like to give it a moment of thought and not be pressured. I still believe that gratuity should reflect appreciation for good service (hence the term), and is not a forgone conclusion. This should be respected with a moment of private consideration.

We always enjoy dining at The Severn Inn. The views are magnificent and the food is wonderfully prepared. We eat in the bar area and also outside on the waterfront deck weather permitting. On special occasions we sit in the formal dining room.

Excellent, as usual. Severn Inn is my favorite place in town if I have a guest coming to Annapolis who is not familiar with the city - easy parking, wonderful views, great food and service. Thanks!

Tasty, airy, with view of the bridge, the academy, and the river that is unbeatable, the place is memorable. Brunch is very busy on Sundays around holidays, but still worth the visit.

The buffet is very nice, but does not offer much in the way for those with the now common food allergies.
I would like to see more options for guests with gluten and dairy sensitivities on the buffet. There were 3 of us out of 6 that have this problem. Some simple changes: don’t have the smoked salmon on the bread- let guests make their own if they choose so allergies can be accommodated. Also, maybe have the breakfast tortillas be corn instead of flour. Maybe a dessert option or two can also be had for our issue. Another meat, perhaps turkey, on the carving station would be good. Also, what’s wrong with plain scrambled eggs? The omelets are not pushed very much by the staff. Need to catch up with the GF /DF bandwagon other restaurants are already on. Also, a nice healthy green salad would be welcome.

My wife and I were meeting another couple and it had been along time since anyone had been to this restaurant. It was actually my first time. When the server approached us she had a hand held electronic device similar to what flight attendant use. That was how she was going to take our order. She fumbled through it to the point where I made a suggestion why doesn’t she do this the old-fashioned way by remembering or taking a written order. it took forever for us to place our orders because of the way she had to input it into the device. In addition, the restaurant was basically empty; there were one or two other people in the dining room and it took forever for our food come out. On a positive note the restaurant sits right on the water and has a fantastic view of the Naval Academy. The food was good but again, the service was severely lacking. I understand that the restaurant was trying to go high tech with these devices, but in the end I believe it has backfired. Everything doesn’t need to be highTech. People still prefer a paper book versus reading third novel online. I believe people would prefer a faster way of taking your order and having it written down the old fashion way. Then the server can go back to the back in and put it in her device. But to stand out there and try to fumble through this machine was ridiculous.

We were a party of 4 celebrating a friend's birthday. Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable regarding food and wine list. We had a table by the window looking out over the river. It was a lovely restaurant, and the food (fresh seafood) was delicious.

Food was great as always. We shared the crab dip, and we all had the French onion soup. The French bread was hot and fresh, and the butter was sweet

We shared the brownie sundae dessert, a lovely gooey hot sauce with whipped cream and ice cream atop a brownie.

We went for the all you can eat brunch for our anniversary. We enjoyed the food, endless mimosas and bloody marys, and the deserts. Beautiful views, courteous staff, and quiet atmosphere make us want to bring our family for our next visit.

Our dinner was to host out of town guests that had never been to Annapolis. I requested a window table and we were given a lovely table. However, after we were seated, we (4 adults) found ourselves with a large table of at lease 8 on both side of us and filled with small children, some of which were not very well behaved. The restaurant was fairly empty so being squished between these two groups, seemed unnecessary. Our quiet, enjoyable conversational dinner, became a little annoying. We began to feel we were in a day care luncheon. It's ashamed because the food was amazing. Best rockfish dish I've had in a very long time.

I went there for brunch on a Sunday.
The service was excellent, the view was spectacular, but the food was mediocre at best.
The prime rib was tough as shoe leather and cold.
Specially ordered scrambled eggs with cheese came out runny almost like water and cold.
II been there for dinner and I've been there for lunch which was great but this brunch was not worth $37 a head.

Unmatchable view of the Severn River and the US Naval Academy. Exceptional food and service in a relaxed but refined atmosphere. Lots of history here. The patio is superb in the summer and fall.

Though I am allergic to 99% (chef had no real option for my entre`) of the short menu my friends loved their options and had a marvelous meal. The setting is, as always lovely and once we got the hostess to understand we needed to be out of the middle of the dining area as we would be there for more than a couple hours and would be exchanging gifts and also had a rollator to accommodate the table was find. Service a bit slow but we got through it. Understanding some of our special requests was difficult and when our special guest need decaf tea and was actually given caffeinated tea - she has heart tremors and we had to cut our time short.
Side note - my flank steak was not the best cut of meat however life is short and I'm just glad my friends had a good time.
