Great view, good friends, wonderful food and dessert! Waiter great !
We dined on the last night of Restaurant Week. The service and cuisine were excellent. We greatly enjoyed the bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizer and the scallop entree. The scallops were done to perfection, not at all over-cooked as happens at so many places. I was celebrating my Birthday, and this was a real gift. On the way out, we made reservations for Mother's Day.
Not a big menu - limited
No Cappuccino - machine broke for three months.
The food was good that we ordered.
We went to the Severn Inn for dinner during restaurant week. We were seated at a great table overlooking the water. We had the grilled romaine salad and bacon-wrapped shrimp as appetizers, and a seared Amberjack and Scallops as our entrees. The food was amazing and my boyfriend loved his mojito. Our server, Hayley, was very gracious and attentive. Great romantic setting. Overall, a wonderful experience and one of the best dinners we've had in Annapolis. Definitely recommend!
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Severn Inn. Enjoyed the beautiful lights of Annapolis, good friends and wonderful food. Loved the scallops.
We went for restaurant week week. The menu sounded great but the execution was lacking.
The service was just terrible. While our server was very pleasant, he provided little service. The restaurant had lots of staff and few patrons so he wasn’t busy. He said he was bringing bread. He didn’t. He failed to have the chef leave a big chunk of butter off my meal. He brought the wrong dessert. He didn’t check on us & he was very slow processing our check. We just sat there in wonderment - wondering where he was & what he would mess up next.
The manager never came around to ask how things were going.
Popular restaurants can’t live on reputation alone. Don’t they want to remain popular?
Good value for your money with Restaurant Week. One of the desserts was way too dry even with the topping (pound cake, really? Who overcooks that?). Waitress was slow and service was disjointed. But wouldn't stop me from going again. Had the scallops and they were delicious, ceviche for the appetizer was scrumptious and my bread pudding was adequate. Had a $30 bottle of red that with airing (they decanted it for us) was great value.
Waitress let us know how busy she was which is a thumbs down to start off. Warm bread and honey butter very nice and glasses and silver sparkling. Calamari appetizer was pretty good and decent size. Scallops entree was strange, having been paired with a lot of, too many mushrooms that did not good well with the seared scallops. Waitress reported portions were reduced for restaurant week. Not really a grear comment to endear the restaurant. Overall I think the restaurant is overpriced and overly self congratulatory. Not planning on returning anytime soon, though the view is, of course, very pretty.
We went because of the Restaurant Week lunch menu. Could not have been a better experience. Calamari and cerviche to start, pork belly bbq sandwich and fried chicken salad were very tasty. The fried chicken was served on the side, tender and juicy and the right amount of dressing on the salad.
We truly enjoyed our dinner and especially loved the water views! Great food!
Restaurant week provide an opportunity to try new places and foods. Not disappointed with our experience.
The food and service were impeccable, planning to return soon.
All ordered from Restaurant Week dinner menu; expected better. Wedge salad and calamari were good, but bacon-wrapped shrimp were dry and puny. Steaks and fish were nicely cooked, but accompanying items seemed reheated and were over-sauced as if to mask that fact. Desserts were disappointing: small, dried out, kind of sad. Server less than pleasant (having a bad day?)
All of the food was great, very extensive cocktail/beer/wine menu, and excellent view of downtown and the naval academy across the water!
Beautiful view. Food was delicious. Delightful experience.
The best stop during Restaurant Week.
This was recommended by a friend and it was excellent. We had the crab cakes, scallops and filet mignon. All were delicious!
Very nice dinner, excellent service, beautiful window seat overlooking the river, and wasn't too crowded or noisy.
Great view and good food! Excellent choice for a large party.
Cozy spot on the water. Very friendly staff
Outstanding as always. Classy restaurant without being stuffy.
The wait staff was excellent. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Made us feel very comfortable. The venue is top shelf along with the food.
Absolutely the best experience I have had out in a while. I decided to go out with a friend last minute. They accommodated the reservation and the food and service were incredible. I will definitely be going back.
Unfortunately, I did not know that they had a VALENTINE's DAY menu when I made reservations. I enjoy the regular menu much better.
Ordered the crab cakes, and was extremely disappointed. Runny and soupy when you cut in to it. Hardly any lump crab meat. Thought I had crab dip in cake form. Had three bites and took the rest home, never finished it, never had the left overs.
My wife enjoyed her steak.
Even though it was nighttime, the view was still pretty spectacular. And for Valentine's Day they did put up an outside light display of a heart. The food was outstanding - well presented and delicious. Portions were just the right size. Also, at the end they presented you with a little gift of homemade cookies to take home with you. The restaurant was very busy but the staff was able to keep up and provide excellent service.
The valentine day fix menu was nice. Portions we huge. Took half of our dinners home with us. Looked like every table got house baked cookies when the table received the final bill. We got nothing.
A lovely valentines meal!!! An intriguing menu...... worth every penny .... can't believed we have never been here in the 15 years we have lived here Definitely coming back
We had an early dinner. The entrees were average. The vegetables that accompanied them were not as listed on the menu. The carrot squash hash was inadequately cooked carrot gratings with Brussel sprout leaves and micro sprouts on top. My father was ill by midnight. Now we understand why everyone else stayed in the bar.
The entire Brunch was fabulous! The choices were great, everything was delicious, especially the crab dip!!!
Excellent restaurant, excellent food, excellent service, excellent staff
Beautiful setting with a crowded bar. Extra tables were quickly set up. Food was quite good, and made all the better by a first class young woman (Maria P) who was our waitress.
Reliably good food, service, ambiance, and a beautiful view.
Group of 8 got a round table. Best way to chat. Some got crab Dip - ok. MD veggie soup good. Had salmon which was good. Most of the table got steaks or petite filet with crab cake. Steaks great. Crab ok. No dessert. 2 glasses wine, 2 glasses Crown, salmon soup and steak were 141.
Overall, the food was quite good. Of course, that comes at a cost. The crab dip had such a crusty layer of cheese on top that we could not serve it with the spoon provided. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly but the seasoning and sauce overtook the naturally delicious flavor of the meat. I would still rate the food 4 stars but these are the things that kept me from rating it at a five-star level. I heard the new addition of fried chicken and macaroni and cheese was delicious!
This was our second time there and will definitely go back again. The food is wonderful and so is the scenic view.
We were checking out this place as a potential rehearsal dinner spot and we knew it was the place when we pulled up. Beautiful scenery and the food/service was great too! The owner is lovely! We will be having our rehearsal dinner here in the fall!
We were looking for something to do on New Year's Eve and settled on the Severn Inn because I had enjoyed their Sunday Brunch in the past, and they advertised a special holiday meal with the reservation at 10pm. The food was phenomenal, the service was very good. Our waitress never shared her name but she is a young blonde lady (early 20's). She served us in a very professional manner without being too attentive. The Inn has a very comfortable family type atmosphere, not like a chain restaurant. The bill was a little pricey for two people and two drinks, a 20% gratuity at $219.00. I would do it again, but at that price it has to be a special occasion. Nice job Severn Inn!
We should had cancelled. It rained all Night. NO fire works. I Was seated by the door and breeze blew in all night. Food was Ok, Nothing great. Priced out of this world, as The night was rained out.
Wonderful meal for New Years Eve. Limited menu but great choices. Service was very good.
