It was an amazing meal. Worth the 45 min drive for dinner. Our waiter was so nice and the food was perfect.

Not sure if the meal is worth the $$, bit still a nice break from the regular restaurants in the area. They do try to be very professional and are very attentive.
I would pass on the Bison steak and try something else...... bone in ribeye looked good.
Lobster was not the best i have eaten either.
Drinks strong. Wine offerings were ok.
Would most certainly return for second dinner sometime, but might not drive an hour justfor dinner.

Cigarette smoke everywhere.

We were very disappointed with Seven Rivers. The ambiance is nothing more than a little bit nicer than a regular restaurant at a casino. For the price of the meals I was expecting much more. The chairs were really uncomfortable. The food was all smothered with cream and cheese and didn't have much flavor. My husband ordered his steak medium rare and it came out medium well. Their wine list by the glass was disappointing and did not have much selection. We got the Key Lime Log for dessert which was not good at all. The crust was like eating plastic. I would not recommend Seven Rivers to anyone! Much better choices in town.

I had the scampi stuffed shrimp and my husband the ribeye. I also had the wedge of lettuce. Absolutely amazing well worth the price and the staff that never disappoints. High recommend!

We ordered your night special, which at $42/plate should have been exceptional. The seafood was excellent, however, both steaks were ordered medium. My steak was too rare and was returned to kitchen. Upon return it was charred but proper inside. Some veggies were also charred. Carcinogenic foods in a quality restaurant most unacceptable. Late afternoon sun was not comfortable for my partner nor conducive to evening ambiance in a high-end restaurant. Staff kept raising the shade that we requested to be lowered.

Absolutely world class food, as good as anything I’ve eaten in high end restaurants all over the world. Well-priced - not cheap, but definitely less than what you’d pay in a restaurant of equivalent quality in a major city. In addition to steak, lamb was excellent, so was the stuffed halibut, and the potato sides were fantastic. Table side bananas foster not to be missed. Can’t recommend enough.

Ambience very nice. Comfortable, quiet, excellent table setting. About what should be expected in an upscale restaurant with upscale prices. Food was another issue. Had mostly seafood, no fresh grilled meats. Seafood was preprepared and most likely bought from outside provider and microwave heated, not prepared in house. Tasty, but over cooked and tough. Kitchen needs to upgrade chef or limit menu to grilled meats. Asparagus side well done, while green beans more raw than el dente. Seven Rivers has unique opportunity to become a “destination” dining location, but they have to become serious about their food preparation. Otherwise they will remain just another mediocre Casino restaurant.

The occasion was my wife’s birthday. We came here a year ago too. Taylor, our server, was excellent both times. Ask for his section to be seated. You won’t be disappointed.

Seven Rivers is our favorite restaurant in/around Durango. It doesn't have the weird California style veggies - just good old fashioned steak and seafood. Wait staff is always friendly and efficient. I highly recommend the wild mushroom risotto cake, the jalapeno mashed potatoes, the steak and the Alaskan halibut. Our favorites.

Everything was great except the bread pudding. They saw my wife did not eat it and took it off the bill. The steak and seafood was terrific. Place is quite enough you can have a normal conversation and private enough. The waiter/ service was exceptional. As compared to the over priced Durango restaurants, this place is a great value. You are sure the enjoy.

This is the fourth time I have eaten here and have never been disappointed. The food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. Our waiter had a large table in addition to the two of us and only once did we need to ask about an item. He highly apologized and it was all of 30 seconds before he took care of our needs. The lobster bisque soup was superb! I would recommend this restaurant for a casual dinner out or a special occasion. We also celebrated Thanksgiving here last year while our kids were in town, and between bowling before dinner, then a fabulous dinner, and a bit of slots and we had a ball.

Seven Rivers is truly an unexpected gem! We were absolutely shocked by the quality of both food and service. It mirrors that which you would expect in a five-star restaurant in a large city. The food is always delicious and fresh and the service is outstanding! Prices are right in line with a nice steakhouse. We eat here every chance we get and are always pleased!

My family and I (a group of 9) went to Seven Rivers to celebrate my Dad's 86th birthday.
It was the best meal we have had there and our service was outstanding.
David S., was our server and he exceeded everyone's expectation.
This establishment is lucky to have such a caring, conscientious professional as David working there. Thank you to the entire staff who made our dinner very memorable, fun and delicious!
Oh, and the blue cheese encrusted filet was out of this world, crazy good!

A half hour drive but worth it. We plan to arrive at 5 pm opening, request a banquette under the windows, relax and have a fine time, never feel hurried. It does get a bit noisier around 6 pm as more guests arrive but tables are not close together and noise from the adjacent bar and casino isn't bothersome.
Our service here has always been professionally prompt, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. A server once told me they are required to train for their position and it shows.
Se we settled in with a glass of wine and a Pacific Coast Crabcake appetizer, and with perfect timing Randall brought the entrees: broiled bison for my companion--nicely pink inside, browned on all four sides (how do they do that?); and for me two appetizers, Seafood Crisp and Coconut Almond Crusted Shrimp. These are presented on a bed of watercress and baby greens, with two sauces for the crisp, one sweet, one spicy, and a tangy orange sauce with the shrimp.
Dessert, always a hard choice. This night it was espresso mousse, piled high in a goblet, so creamy and rich. And coffee, very good (and very strong).
After nearly two hours we ambled out, carrying our little bags of tomorrow’s lunch, happy and satisfied. We’ll come again soon.

Seven Rivers is truly the four corners hidden gem. The service and ambience is truly 5 star and in the class of finer restaurants in metropolitan areas. Everything from wine and appetizers through the main course is not only extraordinarily delicious but presented as fine works of art, truly almost too beautiful to eat....almost!

The table was too big for 6 people and the chairs were very uncomfortable (they sink in the middle - I had to sit on my coat to elevate the chair) . IUnfortunately this made for an unpleasant dining experience. We will ask for a booth next time!!

My husband and I have gone to Seven Rivers many many times and always had a fabulous experience. Saturday evening was something entirely different. We had a 6pm reservation for 4. We arrived and were sat right away. We finished our dinner and were sitting visiting with our friends. Approximately 20 minutes after completing our meal (we still had drinks in front of us) the hostess came over and told us that we had to finish up because our table had another party ready to sit at it. I have never never never been asked to leave a table because of another party. We had just finished paying an almost $300 tab. Shocked at this request, we wrapped it up and left. As we were leaving I did tell the hostess that I thought her actions were rude, unprofessional and definitely out of line. Chances are real good that my husband and I will never go back there. To bad, because their food is awesome and the waitstaff is awesome also.

{ love Seven Rivers. I play poker and many of us order a salad and eat in the poker room. Sometimes soup. Your wonderful food and the presentation is No One. I also thank the Casino for my elite card. I do my best to give a good word for the Casino and Seven Rivers to all I meet.

Everything was great, except for one. During our dinner the person sending out plates sent some meals to the wrong table. Then he got upset and was yelling loud enough to disrupt our dinner, acting angry even though he admitted it was his mistake. Someone was sent to retrieve the food (not the woman who had delivered it, so I know it was sitting on the wrong table) and then they sent out the same plates to the correct table. This was very upsetting to me, worse than the yelling, and I'm not sure I would eat there again without sitting at a table where I could watch my food. I shouldn't have to do that. I would recommend the food itself, but I would have to warn potential diners about what I saw.

I've been here plenty of times, this is the first time the food was a little off. Lobster was a bit overcooked, steak was under-seasoned, the truffled mac and cheese tasted okay but the 'truffled' part was definitely overdone, yukon gold mashed potatoes were a bit too dry.
