Seven Rivers Steaks Seafood and Spirits Ratings and Reviews
Probably the finest restaurant between Durango and Santa Fe. On the upscale pricey side, but the value is there compared to the finest restaurants in Durango, only better...and the casino is right outside the door, if that is your pleasure. The frozen key lime log desert was extraordinary. The seafood dishes (Sea Bass) beautifully presented and delicious. A simple NY strip steak was prepared exactly to order ie, medium with pink center. Side dihes (asparagus was perfetion)and risotto "cake" superb.
Ok your in Ignacio Colorado the bar is pretty low when it comes to restaurants. That being said was a nice meal, they meet all the requests we had, great service and a reasonable price. Now it’s not Morton’s or Flemings but worth eating at if you find yourself in the area.
Went here to celebrate my birthday. Taylor was our server and did a fabulous job. The food was some of the best we've had. Amazing bruschetta, tender steaks done to perfection, extensive side choices and a great wine list. Dessert was a frozen key-lime mousse log that was light and a perfect way to top a great meal! It was an evening to remember and totally unexpected in Ignatio.
All food was really salty. Waiter took too long to check on our table &after a long wait had to flag down another staff member for a refill on a drink. Food was overall ok but for the price ($100 for 2 meals & one drink) I'd expect a little more wow in my food. Presentation was nice & it was clean.
Took an hour and 15 minutes to get our food and it was fair. Had absolutely loved it in the past but will not be back. I understand being busy but bring in extra help I made reservation at lest 2 weeks prior and reserved last table so you know you are busy. Very disappointed.
Extremely good food. In our opinion, this restaurant offers the best food in our area. Beautifully cooked and plated meals, amazing flavor, great service, and a nice, scenic setting, the only downfall is the slight stale smoky scent in the air, wofting over from the casino floor.
My experience with 7 Rivers was beyond enjoyable. The food was plated so beautifully that I took a picture. It was tasty, correct temperature for what was ordered and served expertly in a timely manner.
My ONLY negative comment and hopefully taken as helpful feedback is...Being a severe left-handed individual, it was very difficult for me to use the butter knives supplied. The flatware is very nice and ambidextrous with the exception of the butter knife being of the design for right handed folks.
Whenever I am asked about a nice restaurant, 7 Rivers are in the top 3 I suggest.
Food was wonderful as always, another important of our dining experience were the people. The staff at Seven Rivers is outstanding. Gregory leads a top notch team of people who enhance the enjoyment of great food in a beautiful dining room. We thoroughly enjoy each and every visit to this restaurant.
Seven Rivers is, far and away, the best steak/seafood restaurant in the Durango/Bayfield/Ignacio area. The environment is quiet and peaceful and on Saturday nights they have excellent musicians playing classical jazz music. The food is well thought out and always tastes phenomenal! It is spiced well, great color and presentation, and just right in quantity. The service is exceptional and you won't find better people anywhere. The cost is as you would expect for a top dining experience. We have tried every local steakhouse and we will pick Seven Rivers every time!!!
An excellent steak and seafood menu. Wine list is not extensive, but there are many very good values. There were several large tables on the night we were there which hampered the service. The food is comparable to the best restaurants in Durango. The restaurant is adjacent to the casino, so it can be noisey if the casino is busy.
My husband and I have come to Seven Rivers several times now. We have brought in-laws, friends and family and have never been let down by the delicious food or service.
This year we decided to have Christmas Dinner here with our kids and family. It was a huge success and everyone left full and happy.
We have enjoyed dining at Seven Rivers on three occasions in the past two years. We have always had a great experience and excellent food. The consistency is much appreciated, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is comfortable and classy. This restaurant is worth the drive and we will visit again!
