Very quaint...fun place. Food was good. Service excellent. Very nice staff!
We went on st Patrick's day/ night
And loved the special menu , great beer
Irish stout - I'm vegetarian so I had the black bean burger with amazing creamed sweet potatoes , I had to fight my husband off
Very friendly bar tender & waiter ( tom )
We will definitely be back soon
My wife’s filet was tough. She had a problem cutting it with a knife. Granted it was well done, but she’s had it before here and it has always been cooked perfectly. My short ribs were great, moist , juicy and flavorful. The beer selection is always good! The service was very attentive and the waitress was wonderful.
Been passing this place for so long. Always wanted to check it out. Glad I did. Very quaint. Food was great and service was amazing. It was middle of the week after 9 so it was pretty quiet. I can imagine weekends are much different. Really enjoyed. Will definitely be back!
The wait staff should be more attentive and friendlier.
Food came out at different times. Chicken wings were not edible (too salty). Ribs were dry, burger was over cooked (asked for medium). Server was very friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers.
This is the third time at this restaurant and I want to like it but the food is not that good and they are not shy about their prices.
Used Open Table to find restaurant to dine in before theater-what a find! Truly enjoyed every sip and bite! Excellent service! Excellent atmosphere! Excellent time!
Great options for our eclectic eaters. Waitress understood my gluten-free issue and chef was accommodating. A bit close-quarters with other tables and noisy. Seven Quarts is on our rotating list post-Engemann theatre. Will be back!
Always a great meal and great service! One of my favorite places in town to go to! Congrats to Brian and team for always taking care of their customers! Always an enjoyable evening!
Great menu, great food, great service.
Nice place, very good food, friendly waiters and management and nice bar with great drinks!
I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. There is very little parking. The restaurant is small, and feels crowded due to happy hour. Happy hour food is fine, but dinner entrees are lacking taste and are poorly presented. Portion size, price, and ambiance are not pleasing. I would recommend traveling down 25A a little further into Northport/Centerport/ or Huntington for your meal. Expensive and not worth the money.
The food was excellent. The atmosphere was great. The service was a tad slow which made us rush dinner before our show. But the owner/manager was great about it and offered drinks and to have our cars ready to go. I will definitely be back.
Waitress was slow
The service, atmosphere and food were great. Will absolutely be back to Seven Quarts!
Food was very enjoyable, as usual. Service was not as good as we have come to expect. We were seated, and the hostess gave us a menu which was supposed to have the drinks, but it did not. When our server came, we let her know and she apologized and went off to get the right one for us. That was the last we saw of her for a good 10 minutes. Others were seated in our area and received one or two visits from their server(s) before ours returned, without the drinks menu. Then she was ready to take our order, but we had to ask what the specials were. We knew more about the soup special from overhearing the server at a nearby table than what we were told.
Always consistently good. Service good as well. Bar is lively and bar tender friendly.
Delicious food. A nice twist on some classic regulars. Friendly fun waitstaff and very attentive. Standards were great too. The pulled pork tacos, Vietnamese wings, short ribs and steak frites were excellent. Oh and don’t forget the cookie sundae. Highly recommended !
Food is outstanding if a bit overpriced. Our problem wa sour waiter who after leaving our check decided to engage two young ladies seated at another table ..... literally 6 feet way from ours ..... conversation for 10 minutes. We flagged another wait person who took the check. That stunt ruined what had been a good experience till then. But hey I saved $10 because that’s how much the tip was cut by.
Service was polite but very slow. Salads were fine. Three tapas dishes we ordered were poor. Meatballs were tough, fish tacos (with just small bit of plain baked salmon) were boring, kettle chips seemed like a bag of chips topped with a grainy cheese wiz.
Great vibe sitting in the bar area. Crowded and fairly loud considering that it is in the bar area. Food was great. Had the Shrimp and Grits. I have only had that down south. Holy cow was it good. Been there several times before.
This is a fun place. Ambiance is cool pub/ restaurant. Food is the same, very cool and fun. From the kettle chips, mussels and ribs to the pork belly. Service was perfect and friendly. This was my first time but certainly won't be my last.
Cannot wait to come back! Food was great and we loved our server!
I usually like Seven Quarts Tavern, however, on this night the waiter was not knowledgeable and told us certain drinks were the happy hour price, but they weren’t. Also, i’ve found that the whole the live music is normally a nice addition, this evening it was very loud. I will try them again, though, and sit in a different area. Their food is usually tasty.
A warm cozy spot on a cold winters night. Food is good and comforting and wait staff was friendly and attentive but not too much so. Will return.
Went here early on New Years Eve for a dinner with the family before going out. Food was excellent, the service was super friendly and helpful. They have a great beer and wine list to choose from. Looking forward to coming back.
6 for Family dinner, we should have reserved upstairs dining especially during happy hours 4-7pm. We unfortunately had table 1st. Floor the noise was so bad I couldn’t hear what the waitress explaining the Special’s & trying to talk to family members not until after 8pm. Otherwise the dinner was very good. The first floor area should not be for Dining, only for bar/ Happy Hours between 4-7pm
Basic bar menu. I thought there would be more of a selection as they advertise as a Gastro pub. Sever was attentive. Didn't have bread for the table to eat with our soup. Had to buy pita bread slices for an extra $1. Really? We sat in the bar area at a table which didn't have a tablecloth or placemat. Would go back for a drink at the bar or for a quick meal. Wouldn't recommend for a dinner date. I was hoping to love this place but just average.
A frequent visitor I am. The reason : the food/ambiance/service make it worthwhile to keep returning.
Came here for my friends birthday lunch celebration and it did not disappoint. Our waitress was just lovely and didn't try to oversell us food. We had the Mediterranean tapas and the mac n cheese w/well dressed side salad. I got to sample two different wines before selecting our bottle of gruner vetliner choice. We then had to have a dessert come out w/the birthday candle and song. The skillet chocolate chip cookie sundae was the perfect ending to our magical meal! Glad that we got there on an off hour, cuz it did get noisy at 5:00 w/a large party nearby. That is the only downside to our day! I will definitely be back again!
Cozy meal out with the family
this place is outstanding,we love going there, its very cozy and delicious food. James make you feel like your at home!
Everything was very good. The one knock I had was we were seated in a booth and the cold air would hit us every time the door opened, making us uncomfortable. Mike
Love this spot for awesome predictable food! We loved the tapas style menu- and thoroughly enjoyed every second of the day!!
place was very crowded. Brian worked out our request for first floor table. He and staff are very accommodating. Food consistently good. Good beer selection as well. Mac&cheese- albeit not a healthy choice is "really" good. Tom - our waiter was truly refreshing and energetic. Great place to dine. Always feel welcome.
Great waitress,the food was fantastic.
Always one of our favorites but the new chef has stepped it up a notch. The service was impeccable (shout out to Jackie, a true professional), the ambiance warm and welcoming on a fall evening, but the star was the food. The potato leek soup with pickled mushrooms and toasted garlic was smooth and snappy at the same time. The shishito peppers were enhanced by the shallots and the roasted acorn squash and arugula salad evokes the best of the end of the season. Can’t wait to see what else the new chef has planned!
Last Saturday was our first visit to Seven Quarts Tavern. The service was caring, friendly and never lacking throughout our meal. The menu selection along with the specials for the day were more than adequate. The chef is to be complimented as everything that we ordered was well prepared and tasted great! We are planning to return in the near future so we can introduce some of our friends to this new found treasure.
this is the 3rd time @ 7quarts. We were all in the mood for low key. We had a reservation which they honored. By the time our dining mates arrived the table was ready and waiting. The Bar area is small and on the whole they seemed to be under staffed. The salads, deviled eggs and Burgers were great. We've done Brunch here as well which was delicious. It is a bit loud, so if you are trying to have an intimate conversation you may want to try the upstairs room. The service on the other 2 occasions was on par...we'll definitely return
