The restaurant’s unique name comes from an extended essay by English art critic John Ruskin. The "lamps" refer to the seven principles of architecture: sacrifice, truth, power, beauty, life, memory and obedience.

Tasty, well made food, not over pretentious but just plain wonderful meals! I highly recommend it.
Ask for a table outside, which is wonderful!
Great food, great atmosphere, and wonderful service!
Great service and food.
We had a wonderful time and our waitress Chelsea was lovely.
Server was extremely excellent! Food was very delicious!
Excellent food and service. Sitting outside is a nice bonus, but not all tables are covered, so beware the sun. Delicious food options.
It was beautiful to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Great drinks and service!
The food was great! We really enjoyed the mussels. Our server Jennifer’s recommendations were all spot on.
Our waitress was awesome and food was delicious! Can’t wait to go back.
Service was poor. Slow and inattentive. Long lapses between visits to the table by the server and requests forgotten. Food was mediocre. Chicken was dry (chain restaurant quality). Nice space with good ambiance but the food and service don’t match the prices.
Loved the small ambience, the food was just ok and the drinks were “craft” but not strong. Not sure that I will return.
Great atmosphere/ cocktails and lunch
Delicious food and great experience. Would dine again
I went here for my birthday last week. The food was excellent. It was the best food I have had in a long time from a restaurant.
The restaurant was very lovely the beverages and food were amazing, the staff was phenomenal and thank you Vinnie for going above and beyond for my out of town friend!
This was such a great dining experience. Our server was just as awesome. I was there celebrating my friend's birthday and they customized the menu to say "Happy Birthday" for my friend as well as provide us with a glass of complementary champagne, it was a great dinner. Highly recommend.
Stood at hostess table momentarily for a waiter to approach the table and not even acknowledge us, just standing there. Hostess arrived, barely speaking and no eye contact. Food was “okay” for a Buckhead restaurant. Ambiance was nice outside. I don’t recommend, while there are so many other unique places for food, setting, and friendly staff in Atlanta.
Mussels, fried oysters, the new shrimp dish and of course the drinks were all fabulous along with the service. Love how you all finally got rid of the terrible bench seating. New table formats are so much better with chair backs, much more comfortable. Good music playing as well. Highly recommended!!
I was very disappointed Seven Lamps did not offer ice tea. Instead I was offered lemonade which is not the same and lacks the caffeine I needed. As someone who does not drink coffee I am always disappointed when a restaurant does not accommodate tea drinkers.
Great food. Terrific service. Parking can be a challenge, so plan ahead if you have a reservation.
Great outdoor spot. Caught up with a girlfriend before massages.
Great food and service! Been by this place a hundred times, but I didn’t even know it was there. Love the fresh, seasonal menu. Glad we found it. Will be back.
Decided to eat here with my family during a spring break trip to the mall. Was our first meal out in almost a year. The patio is nice but parties of 4 or more don’t get shade—there are only umbrellas at the small tables that realistically fit three adults max. Our waiter and servers were prompt and polite, and the food came out relatively quickly. The food, IMO, was not great for what you pay. My son’s burger was too smoky—no burger taste, just smoke. The BLT and fish sandwich were pretty good as were the fries. The biggest issue was the salad with chicken my wife ordered. It was small, like side salad as opposed to lunch salad, and the strawberries were just gross. Many salads have strawberries on them, but the ones on her salad were pickled, had a very odd/off putting taste, and had the consistency and look of raw chicken. I appreciate taking chances with flavors and ingredients but not at the expense of taste and visual appeal. Looks like a great place for drinks and appetizers, but the food was disappointing.
We’ve been several times before, and loved it. Went to lunch for my birthday on Easter and we all had to sit outside with no shade. It was well over 80 degrees that day and the sun was blaring down, which I’m well-aware isn’t their fault but some umbrellas or something would’ve been nice since we couldn’t get the option of sitting inside even though the dining room was basically empty.
We were very pleased with our visit to Seven Lamps. Our food choices - the snapper ceviche, red shrimp, and pulpo - were perfect for us. Our server, Brittanie, was very pleasant, helpful and just the right amount of attentive.
Great food, we enjoyed! The music was very loud, however.
Our server was super friendly and attentive, took great care of us. The outdoor seating area was cute and quiet. The food was incredible!
The food and service were outstanding. It was really crowded - so not v covid friendly.
Food was mediocre for the price
We sat outside and the only recommendation would be to get more umbrella. Lots of tree residue kept flying into our drinks and food.
Great experience at Seven Lamps! We had a reservation and table was ready as we arrived. All of the staff was so accommodating and we all enjoyed our meals.
I enjoyed a fantastic lunch date today. We sat outside and enjoyed the amazing spring weather. Chef surprised us with a taste of the smoked wings cooking in the green egg on the patio. Thank you Chef for your hospitality and we will definitely come back for another visit.
food and service were excellent! was so nice to sit on the outside patio -- easily accommodated my large family for last minute reservation on a sunday!
Birthday, staff was excellent.
Excellent service. Beautiful day to eat outside. Food was excellent. Fancy cocktails were a hit.
Great food, make time for parking though.
From a special welcome from Odie to excellent service and food, the whole experience was top shelf.
I have been going to seven lamps for years and have never had a bad bite, but this was an exception. We had a reservation, but still had to wait 30 min for a table, so we had a drink and appetizer at the bar. The brussels sprouts were great, however the wings were too spicy to eat and the tagliatelle was just a mess. I was so disappointed:(
Love this place but our last visit was disappointing. We specifically reserved an outdoor table only to arrive and be seated inside a large tent packed with people. It did not feel Covid safe and the noise was deafening. Food was delicious as always but the glass of wine I ordered with my meal never arrived. I finally asked again and had it as others ate dessert. We do like it here and I’m sure we will be back but not until we are past Covid concerns.
