Where do I start??…. Found this restaurant on Open Table.. decided to try it based on the 1,000’s of positive reviews..
They didn’t disappoint.. extremely eclectic menu.. fresh ingredients…
And the service… top notch… Frans was extremely pleasant and attentive and the way he describe the menu items was as if I were listening to poetry being recited .. #Impressed
Great food great staff
Good food and service.
My wife and I had 2 appetizers (pimento cheese spread; octopus); branzino and pork tenderloin for our main course; snd a shared dessert (bread pudding). Each of these had a high level of food quality and was excellently prepared. I also had 2 glasses of wine to complement the food.
The server (Alijah) was attentive, with good timing and never obtrusive.
From beginning to end, this was one of the best meals I’ve had in any major US city. Really, 5 stars.
Great place to dine outside late summer or early fall. Waiters wear masks, tables are spaced well
The food and service were great! I enjoyed the pimento cheese board and chicken breast dinner. Nice ambiance.
Group of 9 with various entrees and we were all very pleased! Smoked chicken salad was fabulous.
Excellent service, food, ambience, and overall experience. I highly recommend it. Our servers were kind, attentive, and offered suggestions since we were all first-timers.
The experience was really nice. It was noisy inside. But the staff and hostess were very friendly.
excellent food and service... a wonderful place to gather
Food was tasty, interesting and well done. Service was attentive but not intrusive.
we really like this restaurant! the small plate menu is our favorite. we enjoyed pumpkin seed hummus (seasonal!), octopus, moules et frites (mussels and fries), and brussels sprouts. All was good. The brussels are exceptional! Great bar. Relaxed service, in a good way. Seven Lamps is close to our home so we consider it a neighborhood gem.
This restaurant is a hidden gem! Great appetizers, drinks and entrees. We really enjoyed our dining experience. Everything on the menu is delicious! We’ve dined here twice & have never been disappointed. We started with the pimento cheese appetizer, my son had the tuna appetizer & my husband had the plantains and all 3 were delicious! We had the duck as an entree & the burger & both were so good!! The service is amazing! Love this place!!
Food was ok
A lil slow - we are from New Orleans and are used to a slower pace.
Not sure what is going on here..not our first rodeo here at all …
Ambience awful inside … high ceilings .. you know there is noise but the loud clanging of unintelligible music??
Pours were less than average ,
For those who don’t want alcohol… they do not serve iced Tea… really ?
The okra was excellent… we should have left here…
The fries came out cold and limp… on more than one plate..the buns stale …
the Tagliatelle… where was the pasta? The description of this dish said NOTHING about garlic.. it was so overwhelming along with the salt 2 bites in and no more…
Absolutely blown away with how poor this place was .. especially when we have been several times and it was not like this …
Super slow service and when it was available it was pretty minimal but efficient I suppose. Food was good. Good Bloody Mary and awesome French fries
Outstanding service and food
Great atmosphere and service. Drinks and food AMAZING.
Perfect spot for outdoor lunch with a friend visiting from out of town! American fare with a little twist and reasonably priced.
Great food. Excellent service. The patio is amazing
I think I had higher expectations which is why I think my experience was just okay. I would potentially go back though. Potentially.
It was a bad service experience. I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, and they have done a really good job creating a fun vibe. The service was very subpar. We called ahead to let them know that we had pulled into the wrong valet line, and they were very disrespectful about it. After we arrived, the hostess was very short and told us we would be seated in a minute. After waiting about 20 minutes we were finally seated. It took about 15 minutes at the table for our server to come over and bring water. He rarely returned after that and our orders. Overall, the food was really good, but the service ruined the trip for me.
This was our first visit to Seven Lamps and we really enjoyed it! The only reason I took away points for service was because it took a long tome to get our main course. But when it came out, it was delicious and very hot! Our server, Elijah, was very friendly and attentive. He came by to check on us even when the food was slow to come out. My cocktail was also really tasty! Will look forward to returning soon!
Just add a little more duck to the entree and everything will be great!!!
Thanks Sean. Thanks Wesley. Thanks Alijah.
This is a hidden gem. We have never heard of this restaurant and were surprised to find out that it is located in a well known location frequented by many shoppers at the Mall and the shopping center. We sat outside in the courtyard and it was quiet and relatively comfortable. The only downside to sitting in the courtyard is that the service took a little longer due to distance from the kitchen area. The servers were all courteous and friendly but one of the dishes we ordered was forgotten by our server. Notwithstanding, it was easy to forgive her given the number of tables for which she was responsible. Overall, it was very good experience and the food and presentation were excellent.
Some of the menu items in the Opentable App were not included in the menu at the restaurant, especially vegetarian starters
Overall good but a little on the expensive side.
Our server was great, very helpful. She answered all of my questions and even double checked on the watermelon salad (which is spicy, so I changed order). I had the Branzino fish entree. Delicious. We give it a 3 as the hamburger was undercooked a little, my husband wasn't asked when he ordered, and we didn't pay attention. The pimento cheese board was good. The peanut butter cups dessert is rather small for the price.
Menu right now is absolutely superb! Must visit and a great neighborhood gem.
Food was good, as always, and wait staff was attentive. Host seemed to have some issues finding my opentable reservation and made me wait for the rest of my party to arrive before seating me, which seemed odd.
Do yourself a favor and get the shortbread cheesecake! It’s amazing!
Food was excellent! Not too pricey. Very nice location. Close to my hotel. All three in my group loved it.
Everything was good
Service was excellent food was great
They were about to close when we arrived. The bartender was our server. She did not take my order correctly. I never received my drink. The flat iron steak was good but the mushrooms were lukewarm. My friend whose birthday we were celebrating did not like her drink. However the flavors of my meal were very good. Not sure I will return to the restaurant because I didn’t like the food on the menu.
I should really make this spot a usual! I haven't been in almost three years and I don't understand why. It's so yummy and it doesn't take much for you to get full. The vibe is always just right and I love the intimate feel of the whole space. I will be back!
Patio for outdoor dining
Food is consistently outstanding! The sauces are amazing. Everything is fresh and expertly prepared. The royal red Gulf shrimp.....wow. Best shrimp dish I’ve ever tasted, and I’m from New Orleans.
