The restaurant’s unique name comes from an extended essay by English art critic John Ruskin. The "lamps" refer to the seven principles of architecture: sacrifice, truth, power, beauty, life, memory and obedience. Inspired by the essay, Co-owner and Executive Chef Drew Van Leuvan recognized that these important principles are also very applicable in the kitchen as he "builds" plates.

This was our first visit and the food really exceeded our expectations. Beet salad, fried okra, salmon and smoked chicken dishes all exceeded expectations. Bravo to the kitchen! Our waiter was super nice but either had too many tables or the bar was slow.
Amazing, quality food and service! Ready to go back!
The pimento cheese is the BEST EVER!!! Also, the lobster bun is amazing. The food and service are always top notch.
This is my favorite place for lunch. The service is excellent. John B is always delightful and makes us smile. So glad that Seven Lamps is open for lunch again. Best French 75 Ever!!
I think they were having an off night with service- which they apologized for, but the food made up for it 110%. Butternut squash cannelloni was beyond delicious, savory and sweet. Burger was cooked to perfection- a little pink inside with pickles and sweet onions... and then the pizza my daughter ate... excellent!
The new menu is fantastic lots of side options and decent drink menu. Would like to see more options there. Like to see the tables cleaned a bit more (for bugs not germs, had a bit of an ant issue) but overall I love this place. Especially the current menu
Was a pleasant surprise didn’t know what to expect but it turned out good.
Overpriced and weird seasonal menu, no outside seating even though multiple tables open, and extremely limited drink choices.
Loved it so much going back with a different friend to share this great eatery! The food is all organic. The menu is ever changing yet so hard to pick what to eat because it’s all special and yummy- go with a friend who likes to ‘share dishes’;)
One of my favorites & high quality delicious food!
Just great as always. It was my son's birthday celebration and they had customized the menus and served us champagne and desert. Thank you!
The food and staff are great!
I haven't been at location in almost a year but wanted to visit. It did not disappoint and I loved it because it wasn't too crowded and they had a lot of social distance measures in place but it did mess up the ambiance. I had the redfish and it was delicious. My server John was very polite and courteous. His food recommendations were on point. I am such foodie so I enjoy when servers can recommend something I never had before and it be good.
On this particular day, service was slow.
One of our favorites. Love Vinny
Amazing flavors and amazing drinks
Always great food and service!
What a nice evening! We went to celebrate our anniversary and they went above and beyond by preparing a personalized menu just for the 2 of us and a glas of champagne. Thank you!
My husband and I visited Seven Lamps to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Not only did they give us a customized menu that had "Happy Anniversary" across the top (which was adorable), but they also gifted us glasses of champagne with our meal. We very much appreciated the menu recommendations by the host, Vinny - the duck confit was insanely delicious. Our server, Chris, was the perfect balance of helpful but not hovering, and gave us time and space after our meal to talk, laugh, and reminisce over our years of marriage. We walked out stuffed (and with two to-go boxes) but oh so happy. Thank you so much for making our anniversary celebration so special! We can't wait to return.
Fantastic date night and staff is basically perfect
Lobster bun had good size pieces of lobster claw meat. Dessert of creme filled chocolate donut with dark chocolate ice cream and truffle was decadent and delicious. Very conscientious and adhering to Covid rules.
Enjoyed coming back to Seven Lamps for my friend's birthday. We sat outside and had a very enjoyable meal.
Food and service were outstanding. Patio seating was very much appreciated. Will be back.
Great service, ambience, and food. Just missed some notes such as the grapefruit we couldn't taste in the grapefruit butter with the rustic country bread appetizer and a cocktail costing $ 13.
Sooo Delicious! From the creative cocktails to the organic, farm to table, extra fresh entrées and sides, we keep coming back to this wonderful restaurant! Love the staff too.
My wife loved the lobster bun & I had the black pepper pasta with rock shrimp. Good stuff! Shared the chocolate cake dessert & it was a good thing we did - never would have been able to finish it alone.
The food is fabulous and so unusual. An explosion of tastebuds.
Excellent! I love that they use the freshest seasonal ingredients. Drew and his team are outstanding!
Great food and service
Really disappointed with this one. The food was fine, but this place is way too expensive for the quality, taste, and amount of food you get. I guess in Buckhead they can just overcharge you for everything.
I will say our server was very good and the atmosphere is fine too.
First class food. Felt very safe in Covid environment and menu was awesome. Best mussels and burger in the ATL!
It was overwhelming hot inside. We had to get our food to go because we were sweating at our table. It was unbearable.
I love coming to this place! The cocktails are always great! Friendly staff... clean surroundings, my new fav thing on the menu is the smoke-friend wings, and I just oook foward to hanging out there!
My friend had so much fun on her birthday here! The birthday shots were such a nice extra perk, thank you so much!!
This has always been one of favorite spots. We were so excited they were back open. They have changed the configuration of the restaurant and have lots of outside seating to accommodate everyone.
Brittney took great care of us. The menu has changed a little to accommodate a lower price point but all the food is still absolutely fabulous.
We have been coming here for years and Seven Lamps never disappoints! Matt Marcus is working here with the owner and I think we had one of the best meals ever there last night! Keep up the awesome work gentlemen! So glad to have this great restaurant back on the scene!
1000000% go eat here! The staff is amazing and taking all the precautions for your safety as well as theirs! Food is outstanding. The patio has been redone to accommodate social distancing, and it was spectacular (even on a hot georgia night). Go and just order the entire menu, you won't be disappointed!
Tucked in the corner of the plaza next to Lenox Mall, you might need a few extra minutes to find it. The food was very good and we enjoyed the table seating (family style).
Food and cocktail menus are on point, and the staff was terrific. The space is well-designed, but tight and a bit noisy. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience.
