Overall the 7 Glaciers is good however, I made a reservation weeks ago and requested a window seat. I checked in again a day prior making sure we had our request in as it was our anniversary. The hostess assured me they would do what they could. We did not get a window seat but instead watched a really great window seat sit empty almost the entire time we were there. Yes, maybe someone didn't show up who made a reservation but we watched several open up. I just found it hard to believe that we couldn't have our window seat as we made our reservations weeks prior. You definitely pay for the view as the food was less than noteworthy although not bad. Next time we would probably just sit at the bar. Go for a drink, stay for the view. Eat elsewhere.
My daughter's 21st birthday. We've been bringing her here since she was 10. Always great food with great service. That includes the team operators. Thank you.
Service was great, the scallop bisque and NY steak fantastic. Appreciated the coravin program! Spent time with both the sommelier and met the owner on the tram. Highly recommend Seven Glaciers.
We had an excellent evening. We were a little nervous to bring our young children to a restaurant like this, but the staff made it extremely pleasant and welcoming. Not once did we feel out of place or unwelcome. Probably one of the most relaxing and incredible family dinner outings we have ever experienced as a family with young children. I do have to add our chirldren were extremely well behaved with good manners which helped. Thank you for an incredible evening.
Our server, Kelly, was amazing... as well as the food! We were celebrating our wedding night and couldn't have picked a better place. Many thanks!!
The restaurant was beautiful with each table having a Mountain View. We were lucky to get a table by the windows with a better view in the wing considering it was cloudy. The server, Kelly, was excellent. The food was delicious and we tried many different dishes. Well worth the cost.
Service was excellent. Our cup was never left empty of water.
Loved our experience. My sister's 40th birthday was a success with this amazing meal and beyond amazing staff! We had a blast and the food was superb.
The food was excellent, especially the oysters and steak. The restaurant interior was exquisite. Sadly the service was not at the same level. Leaving one’s table to check out the view was apparently unacceptable even though the main point of the restaurant is to take in magnificent views of the valley and water below. Also we felt rushed to order based on “the chef wants everything in at once” and the waitstaff was mostly stiff and unfriendly. Oh well at least the meal was excellent, I enjoyed the quiet ambiance with my family and I can now say I have been to this well-known place.
We were pushed to hover dinner early than reservation. We had to carry our own drinks from the lounge. The portions are so small and outrageously priced for what you receive. My wife had the lamb rack that they cut with two ribs connected instead of individual. The lamb was so tough we couldn't even chew it. Finally the waiter brought out a cheaper plate of fish, but didn't correct the price. We had a birthday dinner was was just told happy birthday and no courtesy cake or anything. Received our bill and was overcharged the waiter included items that we did not order. Not impressed and still hungry when left and $300 poorer.
Extremely professional all around. From the wait staff to the food presentation. All top notch. Wife and I were there for anniversary. Everyone greeted us and congratulated us along the way. It was wonderful. Strongly encourage anyone who has a special occasion to go to Seven Glaciers. Also should mention the view is absolutely stunning!
Excellent food, service, and views! the margarita is amazing.
Beautiful view and ambiance. Fantastic food, great local sea food and source meats. Large wine and cocktail menu.
View was wonderful since weatherman predictions were correct. Food was wonderful and prepared to perfection. I usually eat there 1-2 times per year. The waitress was a little snappy and curt. She mixed up the order and then argued with me that she was correct. But that one irritating experience will not keep me from returning.
Excellent as always. Kelly is an amazing server and caters to all. Food is the best you’ll find in Alaska.
Manager (Dan) was awesome
The birthday celebration was acknowledge by every staff member who we had contact with as they seated us! The service was fantastic we could not have asked for a better server! The food was fabulous, great tasting and presentation was awesome!
Lemon drop martinis, scallop bisque, oysters on half shells, rockfish, and pork dish were all fabulous!
Our family had a great dinner at Seven Glaciers. The food was amazing and the view is spectacular if eating before sunset. The hostess was kind enough to move up our reservation 30 minutes earlier as our table was free.
Amazing place for my wife and I and or anyone to enjoy after a long day in the snow! You will not be disappointed!
Seven Glaciers is usually a must have experience for those visiting Anchorage or Girdwood. The Tram ride up the mountain is spectacular, and the views are exceptional. However, everything after that was pretty downhill on this trip. The service was ridiculously slow and rude. The food was mediocre. In comparison, Lucy's, the student-learning, fine-dining restaurant at UAA, has more innovative and better tasting food. The crab legs were overcooked and dry; the crab cakes were okay but nothing special; the bisque was tasty; and the baked Alaska was dry and forgetful. The fruit crisp/cobbler was one of the better parts of the meal. Overall, the ambiance and the view/ride were the redeeming aspects of this meal.
Great staff and great views!
Love the Fizz!!
The noise levels were appropriate and the lighting was nice and offered a peaceful place to eat. The bartender who created the Fizz was so nice and polite. Thank you
Simply Amazing. Food, wine selection, service and views were fantastic! And no charge for the tram to the top was a bonus.
Seven Glaciers is truly fine dining at is best in Alaska. Although the menu for lunch on Sunday is limited, everything on the menu is excellent. Two of us had the seafood special and the Yellow Eye Rock Fish was perfectly prepared. The burre blanc sauce was a great compliment without being overpowering. The flat iron steak was cooked to order and the accompaniment was excellent. The salmon melt was wonderful. The bread was very good and the balance was wonderful. We had king crab and crab cakes for appetizers and the king crab was very good. The siraccha sauce and pickled cucumbers with the crab cakes were amazing. Spicy but very nice. We all shared the Baked Alyeska desert and it was very nice in small format. Perfect for sharing and a great finish to a great meal.
The food was excellent as was the sunset view. This was our second time back and our server did an exceptional job in spite of the large table with incredible high maintenance parents and children. It was obvious that the "other" large group table was stressing out our server and time that could have been better spent spread out amongst all the other tables in her area, was spent preventing a meltdown with a rude, entitled mom and her princess daughter. The food was exceptional, most particularly the bisque and meat dishes, and martini was perfect. We'll be back, but hopefully the table of snobs won't. Life's to short to be mean to wait staff.
Kelly was a excellent server and hope we get him again. His service was excellent 😊
Great service and even better food. Oh, I can't forget the view.
Every time we go the service and food is always amazing. We usually go for a special occasion. But it’s always worth it!
It was very relaxing, quiet and romantic.
Beautiful restaurant. We were not impressed with the food, I think we had much higher expectations. We did not appreciate the servers moving tables and cleaning the carpet while we were trying to enjoy an intimate dinner together. We really liked our server Karie, she was amazing.
The food was amazing and I have never experienced such wonderful service before! Must try the bisque-it is delicious! We went for our 25th anniversary and it was perfect.
Outstanding food very relaxing beautiful location enjoyed well here skiing
Scallop Bisque, need I say more?! Everything is outstanding.
Very nice place
A must once
Expensive for the food provided
But the good was really good
Seven Glaciers is definitely somewhere you have to eat at least once for a special occasion. The service, food, drinks and atmosphere were top notch. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
Wonderful experience! We had our reservation at 5 when it was still light out. Perfect! Great service and great food in an awesome setting!
The scenery was breathtaking. Everyone was very nice from the moment we walked into the hotel, to pick up our Tramway and the Seven Glaciers staff. The servers were amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. We did try the "Fizz" drink which was very good and came highly recommended from a previous patron of the restaurant.
Service was great and the ambiance was amazing. The food, unfortunately, was lacking. Seafood was overcooked, the steak was cooked perfectly but the sauce was lacking. All in all, it was a good time but i had expected more.
The meal was outstanding. The service waa great. Our only critique would be that our chef given, mushroom soup that was served in a little shot glass was a small sip. We thought maybe the glass was used on the wrong side?? but the soup was outstanding. Just wish we had more than we were given.
We had our 2 small children with us and they were treated like royalty. The chef even came out to meet them.
