Seven Glaciers was great. The food was exciting and delicious. The staff was conscious to space out guests for privacy. You can dress up (we did) or come in ski gear (the table next to us). The staff was professional and non-judgmental. It was perfect.

Thanks for the experience!

Food was bland, service was pretty slow, view was beautiful. For the same money, Double Musky in Girdwood is hands down the way to go.

Seafood was dry. Value of food was not great. Steak was excellent and cooked to specifications. Service was excellent and professional. Formal dining is the obvious goal of the owners and they have fulfilled that goal even perhaps with a slight leanig toward pretention. Except for the steak, however, the food was not up to par.

Food was phenomenal. Definitely worth the price. Was a bit disappointed in the appetizer that we ordered, which was prawns. The taste was great but was disappointed in the size. I was thinking they’d be bigger instead of small. Service was fantastic.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this was truly a disappointing dining experience for a special New Year's Eve dinner. Despite having the appearance of a great restaurant and the ingredients to create a fine dining menu, our food was bland and service was very limited. We were asked to wait at the bar despite having a reservation as they were running behind, while numerous tables in the dining area sat empty and never filled for the evening. It was often difficult to catch the attention of our server, and multiple requests for sides and beverages were forgotten. One friend's caviar was shockingly flavorless, while another friend's halibut was overcooked, bland, and oddly oily. The bison and steak entrees were average at best. No one was ever rude, but that's really a very low bar for a meal at this price point. For a special event or nice meal, I would recommend dining in Anchorage if possible, or at Jack Sprat / Double Musky if in Girdwood.

The food was absolutely amazing. The crab cakes are pretty good, but could use some work. The bison rib eye was flawless and the wagyu was outstanding as well. For such a nice restaurant I was surprised that it was difficult at times to get our waitresses attention. Also, we ordered the risotto but it did not come with our food and we asked for a desert menu early and never received it. Everything on the menu was absolutely top
notch, but I have to admit that I would have liked a few more options to choose from for appetizers and entrees. Overall, we were extremely happy with the meal and the trip. Seven Glacierss is easily worth the money and effort and I look forward to going back again.

Extremely slow service, no flexibility of having a table with view (most of them were empty), good food but way overpriced.
Quality of service not adequate to the restaurant reputation.

Dining at Seven Glaciers was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the view was nice although we didn't get the full view experience because it is winter and night fell. What we saw before it got dark means we need to come back here in summer to enjoy the full effect of the restaurant's location high on the ski slopes.

The restaurant is stunning and beautifully styled. Our second bottle of wine we selected was not on the wine list but was quoted at a price at the table and on the bill was higher. The large party at the adjacent table (seemingly there as a was receiving impeccable service and full attention, down to service of their entrees simultaneous. At our table, consisted of my college friend and I, two young adults and a teen, we seemed to just be a bother, despite even that I ordered the Alaskan King crab as my appetizer and the Wagyu steak, the two most expensive items on the menu, and the rest of the table by no means held back. When the appetizers arrived, there was confusion as to who ordered what. The same happened when the entrees arrived, and instead of five entrees, there were only four. My steak was missing, though the other steak ordered at our table had arrived. No service staff noticed my entree was not there. I insisted to the rest of our party that they commenced eating which they did. After a few minutes, my entree still did not come and I waived someone overwho said they will check on it. A minute later they returned and informed me that the chef had dropped it on the floor and they were cooking another. Then the manager came by and said "he will take care of us". The waitress then came by and claimed it was her fault (contrast to earlier info about it being dropped on the floor). Finally the steak came, and compared to the other steak at the table it was limp, about 2/3 the size, full of gristle, and undercooked. I let it go to maintain a pleasant evening, and figuring it would be comped any how (as it would be at any restaurant at any level under this circumstance). As I'm just sort of rushing through my not very good Wagyu steak, our table is informed that we will be comped one of the $8 desserts (which did nothing versus our over $400 meal) and would we like to order. Pretty sad display from this beautiful and awarding winning restaurant.

I always enjoy eating at this place, however I keep forgetting how long they drag out the meal. Set aside 2 hours to eat here. Food and service was great, but our waiter kept disappearing. We thought about continuing to ski after but the mood of the place put us to sleep.

A very good Christmas eve dining experience! The service was very good with a very attentive staff. My only issue was with the weak "old fashioned" I ordered from the restaurant's bar while waiting for our table. I found the hotel's bar better versed at mixology, possibly because they have a heavier customer flow; and therefore more practice at the craft. Aside from that, we enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to visiting again.

We celebrate our anniversary every year at Seven Glaciers.

The negative: A little disappointed my wife didn't get a rose this year (not sure if it's particular servers that do that), our table was put between 2 large and very noisy parties not to mention there was so many empty tables all over that stayed empty the entire time, we should have been seated elsewhere. Last but not least not sure if it's resort or restaurant controlled but we were waiting outside for the tram to show up and after 6-10 minutes one did but they took the trash and told us that we would have to wait for him to come back. I'm sorry but trash before guests is unacceptable.

The positive, our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Also, the food is amazing as always. The bartenders were great and even made a drink from last year's menu for my wife

The tram ride with drunk skiers was something to be desired. It was unfortunate that the guy who was intoxicated was from the ski patrol. Besides that the restaurant was excellent and the staff were very knowledgeable and never left my water glass empty. It was nice to get a reservation early in the night as it was very quiet and we had the place to ourselves for the better part of 45 minutes. I would highly recommend this place when there aren’t a lot of skiers around as they can be slightly obnoxious. Overall it’s a great place to eat as long as you make it back to Anchorage before Windy Corner decides to collapse across the Seward Highway

We visit a lot restaurant and my daughter all time wait for dessert, this time tell me I want go. Call the server give me the ticket. Why ask what you celebrate if in the table don't tell you nothing about what you celebrate. Plus don't have rush a lot table was empty.

Cheese platter was beautiful, Pork chop was tough. Risotto was undercooked. Vegetables were meh. The worse part was the metallic tasting salmon bisque. The Cocktails were fabulous.

For the amount of money we paid for dinner, it should have knocked our socks off. It didn't come close.

Waited a long time for food. Halibut was dry. View was great and unique experience having to ride tram to get there. Crab legs were ordinary and seasonal Veggies were not good. Table behind us kept getting food from chef for samples. We were offered one oyster each. Staff didn't seem as interested in us as we were not drinking wine

As someone who has worked at a 5 diamond restaurant at a 5 star resort my overall experience was quite bland. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was well mannered and enjoyable but I've seen better service and knew what kind of service to expect with a 4 diamond rating. Probably wouldn't recommend.

Seven Glaciers is an amazing place to go if it's your first time in Alaska or if you've lived here your entire life. The tram ride is a bit scary for a wuss like me but completely worth the few minutes of terror for the incredible view. This was my second time up, I've been once before in the winter when their days are restricted to weekend evenings only. If you're a fan of cheeses, I highly recommend the artisan cheese plate appetizer. Both times it was spectacular, as are the crab legs.
That being said, most of the food options are rather limited. There are VERY few vegetarian options (and I don't think any vegan ones if I remember correctly), including no veg-based entrees, so if you're on a no-meats/no-animal-products diet, this probably isn't a great place to go for you. There a decent amount of seafood options, so pescetarians like myself are a bit more safe. The fish-based entrees are either salmon or halibut and are frankly quite underwhelming considering the cost and location; I feel like there's far better and less expensive options elsewhere. I can't recall if there were much (if any) gluten-free options either.
For this specific visit, I did have an issue with the wait staff. It is a huge pet peeve of mine to go to a restaurant and be served after other people who arrived after we placed our kitchen order, and for it to happen to twice was rather maddening. We were told that there was a 'large party' and our things were coming, but it still didn't explain why two separate tables (three people total between them) who arrived and put their orders in after ours got their food first (and one table got far more food than we did). We also received far less face time with our server than the other two tables, even though we were there longer than both. It wasn't very on-par or professional for such a fancy, expensive place.

The trip up the mountain was average as there was a lot of fog that day. However the braised pork appetizer was phenomenal. There were several wine varieties to choose from as well. Our server was friendly and well versed on the menu. It is pricey but worth it for a special occasion rather than your typical night out.

Seven Glaciers best claim to fame is its stunning location. Our waiter neglected to explain the menu to us or advise in any way: he took care of the basics and that was the end of it. Which was more obvious to us once we heard a neighboring table's waiter deliver quite a presentation! and we may have ordered differently if advised similarly.
Our meal was fair - not fabulous. And one should expect great food with higher than average prices. Most notably, the salmon was overcooked - a crime in this part of the world. Food: average. Location: great.

We enjoyed the Chef's Seasonal Tasting Menu. The wine pairings were exquisite. Highlights of the meal were the oysters (I'm not usually a fan of fried oysters, but they were done to absolute perfection and the combination of the salmon roe, oyster, and the Joseph Drouhim, Clos des Mouches Blanc was amazing), the pickled beets, the romanesco soup amuse bouche, and the tiny pot of pudding (bursting both with vibrant fruit flavor and creaminess) served before dessert.

Some of the food was a bit of a miss. The corn and pea succotash cried out for a bit of zing - perhaps a chive oil or other herb. The Wagyu beef was succulent and tender, but surprisingly bland, and its accompaniment, a heaping spoonful of truffled/lobster mash potatoes was dry and mealy.

Despite the unevenness of the menu, we had a delightful evening and will come back again for a special occasion date night.
