Sette Osteria - 14th St
Decor: Sette Osteria has an open pizza station viewable by guests.
The best decor in a restaurant is people. Windows give guests a view of the active passing scenes on busy 14th street. And, people walking by are able to view a very inviting and appealing restaurant. The decor is rustic and appealing but still carries a theme of sophisticated Italian culture and international buzz.

Great food, cozy spot, horrible service.
I normally would not leave a review but this situation warrants it. The "Thanksgiving dinner" was HORRENDOUS. Please hire a real chef that knows how to prepare Thanksgiving dinner if you're going to offer such a thing. The sweet potato soup was terrible, and the spices used in the dinner were equally terrible. The desert "apple pie" seriously looked like a pile of cow manure and tasted equally lame. The price was also extremely high given the crappy food quality.
On the plus side the drinks were great and the atmosphere and staff were equally great. I'm sure your Italian food is just fine, but you're way out of your league offering this kind of Thanksgiving dinner.
It was a very nice time - not overly busy but still a very nice meal.
Great meal and restaurant, noise level is really high
Grilled calamari was excellent. quality of the food was very good.
Service was not very friendly, but attentive. But, it was a bad luck night apparently. water spilled because of an uneven table that rocked, so we asked for another table. no problem.
my guest ordered the eggplant. they kitchen sent lasagna. he sent it back and got the eggplant. (they did look alike) , but when it came the edges were hot and center was cold. they must have premade and reheated. we just didnt have luck here. but they were good to try to make it right. i have to rate this as we experienced it.
the only constructive criticism outside of this i would offer is regarding the Buratta. the dish was quite small for a dinner item and should be under appetizer. or side. for the size and price, it is not a meal... but it is VERY good. the bratta cheese is excellent, and balsamic reduction very good. perfect as a small side or salad type.
Excellent food, excellent service
We were there during a slow time, so service was good. The food was good as well. Not the best Italian restaurant, but it was better than the national chains and we enjoyed our meal.
Sette is one of our go-to places on 14th Street. Food and service is good and eating out on the terrace is great when the weather is good. Great place to have a pre-theater dinner.
Brunch was a great value — sparkling apple cider was a great fall brunch cocktail addition!
Friendly staff and good food at fair price.
Brought my family from out of town and it was delicious!
Service was extremely slow/nonexistent.
Fantastic service, great food, and a lovely atmosphere. What else could you ask for?
Our server was exceptional. The first three bottles of wine we ordered they were out of. Not sure how an Italian restaurant is out of three different wines on a Saturday night early in the month. Again our waitress was very nice about it and saved what could have been three patrons walking out
Perfect table and food and service
Delicious pasta at a great price! The perfect setting for our ladies night
It was extremely hot inside, felt like no a/c on a 90° day. And food lacked seasoning/flavor.
MY FAMILY AND I HAVE BEEN TO SETTE MANY TIMES AND WILL CERTAINLY BE BACK
We were really disappointed. The waitress was incredibly inattentive and unfriendly and the food was quite bland and oily. Overall, a waste of an evening and $100 better spent elsewhere.
This is the best Italian restaurant in the Logan Circle area. I had the pumpkin ravioli, which was terrific. My friend had the salmon, also quite good. They also have an excellent selection of wines.
We always enjoy Sette, particularly when we can sit outside at the 14th Street location and people-watch. The food is consistently good, and the service was excellent. The martinis are miniscule (my glass was half full). They should work on that.
Great meal before seeing a show at Studio. Recommended!!
Food was very good but oversalted. Atmosphere is nice (especially with the open doors to the outside patio), but the service was not great.
Food was good and the wait staff was attentive. Paid for bottomless brunch and staff made sure our glasses stayed full😊
What a great meal. We all had to try each other’s entree and they were all so good. Will be back
The food was great, but the dining area was way too HOT and sweaty.
It was very hot at our table (possibly due to the open oven)
The restaurant was super hot. Not a great experience for business dinner.
Found plastic in my food.
Service was good but food was average and overpriced. Also, definitely too loud and air conditioning was not functioning properly!
The air conditioning was sub par so we sweated the whole time. Also our waitress was inattentive and we had to actually get a different server to give us our bill
Restaurant has AC and management issues. It was unacceptably hot in there last night (same problem three days ago by another diner) and they ran out of liquor to make me a Negroni (big minus points there !!!- it was 8:30 on a Friday) AND they ran out of clean glassware so couldn't serve our beers in glasses. Of course opening and closing the window door to the patio (presumably the family out there thought it would be "cooler") didn't seem to help the ambiance. Food is good and reasonably priced for DC. Our server was lovely and did her best to make light of the situation.
Too hot, maybe the air conditioning was broken
Everything was great! Food was delicious servers were awesome. It was just very hot inside due to the brick oven pizza they do have put door seating but it was a warm evening as well. So hot inside and hot outside. But I’d go back!
Phenomenal pasta and service at this great neighborhood place. The night we were there was unusually warm inside the restaurant, which our server explained was attributable to a recent change in the A/C system in the building lessening the cooling to the restaurant. We hope this gets resolved or supplemental AC units brought in.
Food was not bad, but service was abysmal. We were seated out on the back patio and our waitress seemed to have forgotten we were there. We sat for 25 minutes before someone brought us water and 45 minutes before receiving bread and our first drinks. The waitress and manager were not particularly nice or apologetic about the very lengthy delay.
The restaurant was extremely warm for some reason. It made it very uncomfortable to enjoy your dinner.
Our server was as cute as a button!! Pink bubbly was tasty. Carpaccio was delicious. Greek salad and two homemade pastas were excellent. Recommend
We sat outside on the patio. Food and drinks were delicious. Everything was great until we saw cockroaches on the ground. Granted, we were outside, but hopefully the restaurant does some bug control.
Branzino and lamb shank were excellent. Service superb.
