About Sette Osteria - 14th St
Sette is Italian for seven, the traditional "lucky" number. The restaurant design is comfortable with a traditional Italian tone, exposed bricks, and with a great " warm feel and flow." Sette Osteria is a destination place for people as well as a place for people walking in the area to come in and enjoy.
Decor: Sette Osteria has an open pizza station viewable by guests.
The best decor in a restaurant is people. Windows give guests a view of the active passing scenes on busy 14th street. And, people walking by are able to view a very inviting and appealing restaurant. The decor is rustic and appealing but still carries a theme of sophisticated Italian culture and international buzz.

Sette Osteria - 14th St Ratings and Reviews
When a waiter says “anything is possible”, you know it is going to be a great experience...and it was. Three of us had the bolognese, two split the beet salad and branzino special, and one had the risotto special. We shared a cheesecake and creme brûlée. We all enjoyed our meals, desserts, wine, and cappuccinos. Our service was exceptional. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the servers name, but on our receipt it shows Darko M. He made it a fun evening. We will definitely be back!
We had a party of 4 total for a Sunday brunch. It was my first time here, so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. The mimosas were WELL made and our glasses were nearly never empty. The food was delicious, as well. We will be back again!
The staff there is not customer friendly and socially regimented. When I asked if it was Happy Hour, the bartender responded yes, then proceeded to give me something that wasn't on Happy Hour prices - and had no apologies.
The management needs to review their staffing procedures and select staff that is customer friendly.
I live only 1 block away and have been there many times, but I will not go again.
I had a great date night at Sette on 14th. They were very courteous and we didn't have to wait, our reservation was ready. They were very gracious in pushing back my reservation when I called and said I would be late. The food was great and the prices were good. I recommend to anyone who is thinking about going.
The service was very accommodating to our special needs (for a quiet place because of hearing loss) and were very attentive throughout the meal without being intrusive. The food is good but not great. But I'd go back again when I'm in the neighborhood because the servers were so nice.
I have enjoyed every meal I have had there, but most of the time I was seated in the upper section in the back. This time, we were in the corner in the front. The difference in volume level was significant. It was almost too much to be social with our party. I don't mind noisy and vibrant places, but this was close to being too much.
Otherwise, very enjoyable.
Meal was incredible. Sat outside in October and the blankets on the chairs was a nice touch. I had the bruschetta trio appetizer and my boyfriend had he Caesar salad, meals included a short rib and mushroom risotto special and a basil pasta with smoked mozzarella and eggplant, dessert of an apple tart and sorbet. Absolutely everything was delish. Service was slow at times (like had our appetizers before we even had bread on the table and waited 10+ minutes for wine) but we weren’t in a rush so it wasn’t too annoying.
From the moment we sat down, we could tell that our waitress, Karla F, was irritated about something. She was very curt to us, and ignored our request for bread for the table multiple times. We had ordered two bottles of prosecco at this point and were waiting for a friend to arrive, so we had ordered the bread and water and some appetizers. However we didn't even get the chance to order dinner because the second our friend walked in, the entire staff began to discriminate against him because of his slow rate of speech, which is a speaking quality that all of our friends know to be characteristic of our friend regardless of whether he has consumed any alcohol or not. Before our friend even got a chance to place an order, the waitress came over and told him her manager said that he could not be served alcohol. We were all speechless, we had a group of 7 coming for a special occasion dinner to celebrate his new job, and we're planning to order entrees and stay for a good hour or two at least celebrating. We asked if there was any reason for this, and the waitress told us first that it was her boss' decision and she was just following protocol, and then we asked her again and she confessed that she had just lied to us and that it was based on her own discriminatory judgments based on the way our only non-white friend looked and spoke. We had barely finished our appetizers and still had some wine to finish, so we asked for more bread to finish the dips/burrata that we had been allowed to purchase and were ignored for half an hour until they realized we would not be leaving without finishing the food we had paid for, and finally brought us bread. I don't know why this waitress chose to be so discriminatory to our friend with absolutely no basis, for his own celebratory dinner, but we will definitely not be back.
Was pretty noisy but overall great brunch! Food was good, only one exception being the brunch tart but in part possibly because it wasn't what was expected (e.g., served cold, eggs not on top)
But the service was impeccable (thanks Nemanya & sorry if misspelled) -- stellar recommendations on food and kept our glasses full (not easy with our crew;)
