The outstanding wine list and knowledgeable staff ensures a perfect wine pairing for any meal, palate, or budget.
With its beautiful dining room, spacious private dining space, relaxed lounge and full bar, Serratto has the perfect table for you!
Excellent as usual. Alex runs a tight ship there. The environment is warm and friendly. The wine list is excellent and well priced. Can’t go wrong with the Pastas.
We love the ambiance and food. This is a nice place for all occasions.
Serratto is simply an amazing restaurant! Tony, our server, was kind, knowledgeable and very attentive. The risotto is fantastic, the scallops were outstanding... our compliments to the chef! We would highly recommend!!
Serratto is my favorite restaurant in Portland. The staff is friendly and we have never had a bad meal there. It is hard to find good Italian food on the West Coast, so I general have a pasta dish. The staff are friendly and accommodating; on the rare times there has been a problem, they corrected it graciously.
Food is consistently good. Serratto is our go to place for gatherings. Great staff and lovely food.
Waiters take too much time with orders and billing. We look at wrapping up in 45-1 hr, but we end up 90 mins which is tough during working day lunches.
Very nice server. Food was very good as was the wine. I have no complaints.
We came to Serratto for a rare kid-free date on a busy Sunday night. Upon our arrival our server hinted that they were very busy with extra parties and he seemed a bit stressed. Having both worked in the food industry, we of course commiserated. We ordered the soup of the day, beet salad, wine, and entrees. The starters were great and arrived in a timely manner, as did our first glass of wine. When the entrees were brought to us they were luke-warm, which was disappointing after waiting quite some time. We’d asked for the wine list again as they were delivered but did not see our server again until we were finished.
The service was exceptional, far beyond any expectations or experience at Portland restaurants on a busy Saturday night. Impeccable. Food was also fantastic, but I could barely eat, being in near shock at the amazing service. I did, eventually, manage to dive into a divine Bouillabaisse. Bravo to the kitchen, bravo to the wait staff, bravo to Serratto! We'll be back. Often!
My friend and I both had the tuna nicoise. It was different from any I've had before and really delicious. The service was attentive but not overpowering.
Our server person was just great In fact so was the hostess who reseated night us from the dining room to the bar so we could enjoy happy hour
Music was too loud for conversation without raising voice.
Serratto is a solid option. Food and drinks are always good. Service is good too. What's not to like?
The entree was served after it obviously stood around for too long and was not hot. Since we ordered duck, it would have been difficult to reheat.
We were a party of 4. We each ordered a different dish. Scallops, risotto, halibut and shrimp pasta. Menu is varied enough to satisfy most everyone. Guests remarked that balance of flavors was excellent. Service great. Noise level is about average for a restaurant if that size. Tables spaced nicely apart for privacy. Kitchen got a bit smokey during the meal, but it wasn’t too much of a problem. I’ve been to this restaurant several times and never been disappointed.
The label for the highest “Noise” is Energetic. In my experience it should be Excessive since it was difficult to have a conversation with my friends. I will still dine here again for the delicious food and great service, but I’ll request a quieter area.
I love this place! I’ve recommended it several times to friends & family. A very enjoyable restaurant with a relaxed vibe.
Thank you Serratto! Everything
Service was excellent. Chad really went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable.
Waiter needs to be more aware of his tables rather than rely on others
Our food was brought out almost cold by someone other than our server. It was apparent that it had been sitting for quite sometime after it was plated . A few minutes after our food was served, our waiter finally came by and we informed her about our food. She had a matter of fact attitude and took food away to be reheated in microwave. Not a very good experience for our first time at Serrotta. Probably won’t go back.
Nice meal, great service
Service from Tony and other staff was excellent.
Halibut sandwich portion was small. Radiatore was great, as always.
We didn’t actually stay to order. The restaurant was late in opening for the day. When they did open the door, the hostess opened it and told me to move without acknowledgment that she was late or asking nicely. She did not smile at all. I gave my name for our reservation (which was a birthday lunch for my mom). She silently showed us to a table and poured water. No verbal acknowledgment. Just handed us menus with not even a mere “your server will be with you.” We sat there for 15 minutes, but no one came to greet us or take our order. My mom tried to make eye contact several times and was ignored. Finally we walked out. There was one other party in the restaurant at the time, so absolutely no excuse for the service.
I’ve been here before in the evenings and haven’t had an issue. If a restaurant opens at 11:30, they need to be fully open and not treat customers as if they are inconveniencing the staff by simply showing up on time.
The hostess should be fired. I can’t recall ever being treated so rudely. It was like she thought she was too good for us (or we were not good enough to be there). Either way, she has cost the restaurant my future business and recommendations. It used to be a go to when friends where in town since I live around the block. No more.
The food was good. The menu was a little bit predictable. The wait staff was adequate. Not blown away, but not disappointed either.
Serratto went thru a slump a few years ago and we started going elsewhere. I'm so glad we decided to try again. We tested with carryout and were extremely pleased so we went back for my birthday last week. So glad we did. The food was beautifully prepared and presented; and the waiters were meticulous and cheerful. I suspect we'll be heading down the hill at least a couple of times a month again.
Consistently excellent for over 20 years of patronage.
I go there a lot and we had a new waiter and he was super bad. Didn’t know what he was doing. I love the place but bad service kills it sometimes
Lovely food in a perfect ambiance. This is a restaurant that just nails the experience of eating out. High quality, diverse menu, great, friendly service and an extensive wine list. Can’t miss when in Portland.
We really enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at Serratto’s restaurant last night. The service was excellent even with a crowd our waiter gave us a personalized dinner experience.
The food was amazing braised beef so tasty and a very generous portion Best burger in PDX.
I definitely recommend this restaurant
Consistently good as always. good for groups. Service is attentive.
Always a pleasure dining at Seratto’s!
The bartender was especially professional and made some of the best drinks we’ve had in awhile.
Got together with long-time friends for a catch up visit. I enjoyed the scallops and another of us raved about the filet. The budino received four thumbs up! Service was very good and attentive without being intrusive. Part of this hidden gem is the valet parking behind the building and entered from the street behind.
Second time in a row I ordered a vegetarian dish and was brought something with meat in it. Server didn’t care. Terrible service!
