   Matches top restaurants in New York with the creative cuisine--classical French techniques with an Armenian touch. Food was particularly exceptional that night. Everything popped and sparkled.

   An excellent restaurant convenient to Metro North at Wassaic. Fresh seafood flown is in by the chef/owner who is a pilot and flies to the Cape to find the freshest ingredients.

   One of our favorites. The food is absolutely fantastic! Well worth the one hour drive.

   The food was exceptional for an early Monday dinner during the slow season. The chef welcomed us and personally checked that everything was to our liking.

   I've been to Serevan three times. The two most recent have failed to live up to the first time, unfortunately. When I was there over the summer, a waitress spilled soup broth down the back of my dress and offered a perfunctory sorry. Most places would comp your dessert or offer to pay the dry cleaning bill on that (and I did have one), but here it was treated like, oh well, no biggie. This most recent Saturday, when we were there on my birthday, we had to wait a long time inside the door, because there was no hostess or staff in the entire front half of the restaurant. Eventually it became strange and awkward. My husband finally went back just as almost the entire staff came out from outside, where they were chatting or taking a smoke break or I don't know what. The service after that was fine -- professional, not terribly warm. The appetizer I had, a special bread-cheese-lamb thing much like a quiche, was amazing. Gotta give them props for that. The chocolate dessert I had was also quite good. The entree I had, also a special, was so bad it was almost inedible. A special duck dish that was not tasty inside a cooked rice structure that was hard and crusty and difficult to eat. For the price, there should be no downers on the menu, and the service should really shine. I sent back nearly half the dish, which should have flagged the staff, but they said not a word.

   Really excellent food. Fresh Wellfleet oysters flown in weekly. Inventive use of wonderful Mideastern, Persian, Armenian flavors! Lovely friendly atmosphere, Chef and staff.

   Serevan is very special. The food is exceptional and the atmosphere is warm and cozy with lovely decor. It is that perfect country restaurant that we dream about but that is actually hard to find. It is one of our very favorite places, city or country. Cannot go wrong here either for a romantic dinner for 2; family dinner with 3 generations or even a girls or guys night out.

   It always feels like a special occasion at Serevan and the cuisine is authentic and stimulates the palate. Waitstaff is attentive and professional. Good place to go as a couple and sit at the bar.

    Went for my birthday this time. One of the top three dinners I've had in my life. The flavors were exquisite. The scallops were like butter melting with each bite. My husband and son also immensely enjoyed their food. Will not wait so long to return next time.
