Serendipity 3 - Caesars Palace Las Vegas - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
This place is closing and it's easy to see why. We waited for a server for over 10 minutes with many passing by and NO acknowledgement. We finally left and went to the walk up window to get ice cream. Overpriced hype and NY location wasn't much better when we went there last year.
The food at Serendipity 3 was amazing! Everyone in our table was really pleased with what they order. The only down side of our dining experience was our waitress who didn't seem as though she wanted to be there. She constantly ignored us whenever we tried calling her to our table, didn't seem to be paying attention to anything we were saying while we ordered and she brought the check before our meals even arrived.
I don't think this restaurant should accept reservations after 9. Ours was for 9:30, and we were rushed out of the place. They obviously wanted to close and get us out ASAP. Our dessert came out about 5 minutes after our dinner came out, so it sat on the table as a melting slip while we tried to scarf down our food. Also, the dish I ordered was not as described on the menu and the giant potato wedges were not cooked all the way through, essentially inedible. Pretty disappointed. Didn't feel welcome at all.
We have been eating at the original Serendipity in New York for years. This Las Vegas branch is nothing like the real thing. The restaurant is dirty and too cold. The staff is unprofessional and the restaurant is very under-staffed... no one to check you in or to wait on you without waving someone down to help you. The food is bad, nothing like the New York restaurant, and shockingly expensive. To top it all off, the waitress spilled a glass of water on us and did nothing to apologize or to offer us compensation. Very disappointing experience. Avoid this place.
Went for an afternoon anniversary lunch. Fun and interesting items on the menu. I went with true comfort food...grilled cheese with tomato soup. And for dessert, carrot cake sundae. Sooo much food. Lots of fun. Glad we were able to go before it closed. I guess we'll have to go to the New York location next time.
I was very disappointed. The frozen hot chocolate tasted like they froze some nestle quick and threw Reddi whip and chocolate chips on top. This was not what I was expecting. We will not go back. The service was good. I almost felt sorry for the waitress because I think she could see how disappointed we were. Service was the only good thing about that place. Not her fault it was so bad.
I absolutely loved this place! The staff was super friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. We we seated immediately and served promptly. I highly recommend the frozen hot chocolate and the Forbidden Broadway Sundae. OMG they were phenomenal! The sundae is def large enough for two.
Serendipity 3 - Caesars Palace was no too bad, however I'd recommend it for the warmer seasons when you can sit outside, as the atmosphere inside was not as nice as I thought it would be. Kind of reminded me of a Cafeteria at a University, I've paid a lot less for far better establishments. On the upside the food was great
The food itself (as it always is) was great...but the rest of it? Not so much.
Our server wasn't exactly the friendliest we've ever encountered. He didn't make much of an attempt to personalize anything, or interact with us as fellow humans. He watched as my fiance knocked over a drink and spilled a full glass of soda on himself...although it was my fiance's mistake, I thought it would have been nice of the server to offer a refill, but even if he didn't feel like that was fair to offer, at the bare minimum he could have offered a NAPKIN or SOMEthing to help him clean up the spill. My fiance literally sat in his puddle of soda for the duration of the meal, with only his napkin to clean up what fell on his lap. I'm not kidding when I say the waiter actually stood and watched it happen, and then changed the subject and walked away, completely ignoring it.
The other thing was, last time my brother and I had visited this resto, they charged his card for the full amount of everyone at the table, AS WELL as charging everyone else their individual meals (it was a bill split among multiple cards); and while that was a pending charge, it was a holiday weekend, so for the entire weekend and then some, my brother was less $350+ in his account. At the time, he was told this was "the policy of the restaurant" and that he should get over it. Because of that, my brother asked THIS time--before his card was charged--if the restaurant planned on charging his card for the full amount. He fully explained his previous experience, so the server could understand why he would ask such a ridiculous question...and the server--clearly annoyed--explained that that's something he's never even heard of, that it is NOT the restaurant's policy, and punctuated the response with "I KNOW how to DO my JOB." That was the end of that.
So yeah...wasn't exactly a pleasant experience. The food is delicious, but since we've never had a good experience with the service, we won't be back.
We loved it! The food was excellent in taste and portion size. Plenty to share so keep that in mind. We had nachos which were yummy and someone also order the filet and she said it was delicious! The frozen hot chocolate with amaretto in it was to die for and we would go back just for that alone! Service was attentive.
Was disappointed in their menu. Went there specifically to try a dish I had seen on their yelp page but upon arrival the waitress told me that they didn't have it at that location which was pretty confusing. And when asked if they could add something on to my dish I was told they couldn't. I was shocked that they weren't able to accomadate me in any way.
