Serafina - White Plains Ratings and Reviews
Overall a very good experience. Only problem is parking. Website says valet parking available next door at Ritz Carlton but when I tried to do that was told it was not available that night. Had to drive around looking for parking and then ended up with a parking ticket because meter parking lasted until 9PM.
We had the worst experience. We waited over one hour for our meal. The waiter finally said one of us ordered a special that takes a long time to make which no one ever mentioned to us. Then 2 of us ordered sea bass and woke up with stomach aches the next day.
We were meeting friends that we hadn't seen in a long time and the waiter was great in giving us the right amount of time to talk and yet, was accomodating and available for questions and ordering. .The atmosphere is comfortable yet fun and feels like a vibrant part of the White Plains life! Three of us actually shared an arugula salad with shaved parmesan which was excellent and I had a well prepared delicious salmon which was excellent and came exactly how i ordered it with the sauce on the side. Two of the men at the table had the risotto with seafood which was the special and they said it was to die for! We were very impressed with the high level of service we received the whole evening and we would definitely come back here! Fun and comfortable vibe!
Seven of us went out here for a dinner and we enjoyed it but it's nothing worth the price. $19 for pizza or $16 for a salad that was not amazing yet not bad seems a little pricey. The Gnocchi however, are worth every penny. The music was different . Club / techno music at a high level was being played which does not fit the scene .
Excellent choice -- Christmas dinner for 8, including 2 grade-school boys. Serafina served their full menu, including filet mignon, which was not listed that evening on the menu. The shrimp in cognac sauce with risotto was delicious. Desserts were excellent, particularly the berry tart. Service was excellent. We did not have wine, primarily because each glass is $12 or more. It was very cold outside, and the three seated with their backs to the windows were shivering part-way through the meal, necessitating the wearing of coats.
Had a business lunch at this establishment. It was a perfect setting, with a relaxed atmosphere, good service and ok food. The apps were tasty, we had tartare and avocado and baby shrimp. I had branzino for main and it was well cooked. The service was prompt but not in your face. Overall a very pleasant experience
Went to serafina for Father's Day. The employees were very nice and took care of us very well. The food was excellent. My only issue was the soda. There are no free refills and the soda they give you is in a small glass so that makes you order more soda because you drink it very fast. Besides that everything else was good.
Made reservations for Mother's Day brunch and was disappointed when the manager called us the day before to inform that brunch would not be served, but rather it would be the regular lunch menu. This was our first time at the restaurant and I was skeptical of anything other than the brunch after reading mixed reviews.
However, my entire family was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and service was prompt even though the place was packed. Recommendations: fried calamari, cognac shrimp and any pizzas.
My friends and I went for my birthday. I was afraid service was going to be spotty on a Friday night, but it turned out to be great. I really enjoyed my experience. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is perfect for all occasions, and the food was AMAZING.
We went as a group of 9 for dinner. We had to hunt down the waiters to fund anyone to give our order. Poor service continues through out the dinner. This was in spite of being a Tuesday and despite a reservation. Will not go back there again and will not recommend to others.
Go now to Serafina and try the Vegetarian Platter (spaghetti squash dish). The meal was fabulous and the presentation was beautiful. The other meals at the table included fish and pasta-I'm told also delicious. We were there for lunch. Service was fast and courteous. Well priced, portions just right. I am looking forward to going back.
