Went for my daughter’s birthday. Saw a sign when we entered that said to pardon the appearance as they transition to spring. I’ve been here many times and always a fun festive atmosphere for the season. This should have been disclosed ahead of time. Pictures online are amazing, but the restaurant looked like a barn under construction. Further, the reservation was at night and we were seated next to an open window, which could not be closed due to COVID-19? That’s a joke. Roof was open and windows and besides dealing with the cold temps, every few minutes menus and everything else was blown off our table due to gusts. Staff would not accommodate another table. Service was rushed. Prices were reasonable, but portions extremely small so relative value was lacking. Overall, very disappointing and will not be back.
Grilled salmon and veggies to accommodate my WW regime.
A solid everyday dining spot. The filet arugula salad was skimpy on the filet and overpriced as a result. Delicious portifino pizza. Kind service.
Just had an awful experience eating here. My reservation was for 7:15 PM. When I arrived we were "checked in" and waited in the front. They informed us that their tables were currently full but that they had seating at this enclosed space with heaters. We contemplated taking a table there until we realized that there was no ventilation, no screens and everyone in there was really close to each other. It was as if though Covid didn't exist in that enclosed space. Completely irresponsible by the restaurant.
We ended up waiting....and waiting.....until we were finally seated at 7:55PM. I was furious. If we ever arrived that late, I doubt this restaurant would honor our reservation. There is NO excuse for this by any restaurant. If you don't have availability, then don't offer it. If you know that your customers will be waiting for a while then offer them beers, drinks, bread etc. What Serafina doesn't realize is that I've personally recommended 5 friends here and they all come here and spent upwards of $100 for dinners. I myself have been here 3 times. Now I will let everyone know how disrespectful they are to their diners' time. The ONLY reason that I left a tip is that their understaffed waiters and waitresses really tried. The food was also amazing. Avoid this place if you don't want to wait especially if you are making reservations for dates.
Food was good, but the service a little slow.
Great experience at the restaurant. Good food and nice atmosphere.
We went here for our first family meal at a restaurant in a year and it was well worth the trip from Long Island. The service was terrific, the food was delicious and we felt very safe eating there with covid precautions taken seriously. A really great experience— especially since they took our sons’ food allergies seriously.
While the food was great as always, the service was disappointing on this visit. We sat in one of the tables along the side streets and went long periods of time waiting for a menu, our food, the check, etc. And, while they corrected the error when we pointed it out, they had substituted a wine we ordered with a more expensive one without telling us. That said, the truffle pizza, penne a la vodka and Farfalle were all excellent. Hoping this was a one-time lapse...
Had lunch in outside tent and it was comfortable. My friend had a stroller and we had plenty of room. The branzino was nicely prepared. Nice lunch place
Always outstanding food and service thank you
Very nice March weekend lunch.

Really good food and service
Food good as always. A bit overpriced as always. Outdoor dining not as outdoor as we were hoping for.
Tremendous place, I've been there a few times recently; the service is wonderful and the food is delicious. Their burger is out of this world. Cannot recommend this place and this location highly enough.
Saw the waiter once. Had to wave him down each time and he was very rude.
Serafina had just completed an enhanced outdoor dining structure earlier in this week. We were dining Friday evening, February 19, 2021. The outside was in their iconic Serafina yellow. It was gently snowing outside which we could see through the heavy clear plastic window coverings. As always their hospitality was first rate and the service was excellent. One of us tried this evening’s specialty, chicken parmigiana with side of spaghetti. The other two had spaghetti carbonara and Cacio e Pepe. All three were delicious. We topped off our dinner with Foccacia alla Nutella. Exquisite desert
It's tough in Covid-19 to find a place to eat outdoors in the cold comfortably - and find food the whole family enjoys. On a bitter cold eve, Serafina's heaters kept us surprisingly comfortable allowing us opportunity to connect with family friends . For the kids and us, it was perfect: Great food, comfortable, Covid-19 safe.
There were no heaters in the outside dining area, so it was mildly cold.
Really excellent generally, but the tables nearer the street for 2 did not get nearly any heat. I know it’s expensive but it definitely made the meal a bit harder to enjoy. Otherwise, the food and service is impeccable
Great food but they need to update their heat lamp situation - you can barely feel them.
Horrible outdoor dining conditions. Way too cold. Heaters not strong enough. Food is way overpriced for what it is.
Went there for lunch and the food was great, service too but we ate outside on a breezy day, which did impact the experience. If they are going to survive the winter they have to figure out the heat lamp situation. They are up too high and only on one side of the seating. When the breeze happened you couldn’t even feel them. Not sure if they have others that stand next to the tables and they weren’t outside or if they have other options to make it warmer. Appreciate what restaurants are doing to make it through the pandemic!
Was a bit cold, food good as always but their heating setup needs a revamp.
The food was amazing and the service okay. Their outdoor section was certainly warm enough to sit through a meal, though the tables were a bit close together. They also charge a “COVID-19 fee” which they don’t tell you about ahead of time.
Everything was perfect...Thank you to everyone at Serafina!
wehad the plain sa lad, very nice. the lasagna was cheesey and good. the was cristy and light. the heaters were working we would go back
All in all a very nice experience. Service was very attentive and the food was good. They have done a very nice job with the outdoor dining.
Serafina is our favorite neighborhood restaurant.
Originally made reservation for outside dining. Windy and cold, so we went inside to a sparsely occupied restaurant so we chose a table by the window easily distanced from other patrons. A bus person asked if we wanted water, I asked if they had Pelligrino, the answer was yes. A bottle of still water was brought to the table and pored. I suspect there was a language problem. No problem a fresh bottle of sparkling waster was brought to the table. I ordered the Prosciutto e Bufaline which was simply the prosciutto spread on the plate with the Burrata placed in the middle. Both even unadorned were very good. Next I ordered the Paglia E Fieno. Thwaiter asked me twice if I wanted to add chicken to the pasta. I didn't really, but he was rather insistent so I said ok. The pasta was really good. But I have never seen chicken like that.It looked like it may have been some kind of chicken loaf sliced into ½" x 2" rectangles and about 1/16" thick maybe 1 oz of parts is parts. I tasted it, it did resemble chicken. I didn't eat that, but the pasta was very good and a satisfying lunch portion. I was a little dismayed that the bill indicated an $8 charge for the "chicken". And of course the optional NYC Covid charge. I did not complain. Restaurants all over the country are suffering badly because of the pandemic. I tend to tip heavily to help out. But I think between the "chicken", the Covid thing and the tip, it was quit a bit more generous than normal. I think my experience at Serafina was unfortunate, but I also think this is not their finest moment.
MY friend and I met up for lunch on a day which was unfortunately too windy to sit outside. I give the staff credit, they seated us in a corner booth away from any other diners and assured us the kitchen staff was also wearing masks and gloves, so my friend was more comfortable. They gave us a menu that didn't have any special lunch options, unfortunately. I asked for a cup of soup and got a huge bowl which I really didn't want but they gave me no option. My goat cheese & spinach salad was very good, however. My friend's portions were also too large, and the prices reflected the sizes so our simple lunch cost us over $70 by the time we were done -- way too much! We won't come back so quickly...
Was very relaxing and the food tasted great! Clean and good service as always!
Amazing pasta, great outdoor seating and social distancing.
We were happy that Serafina had outdoor seating. The food was delicious and the wait staff very professional and attentive.
We hope to return!
Food was excellent. Staff very accommodating in finding appropriate seating. Only downside was a busboy who tried to clear the table too early. Just needs some training.
Nice outside dining all day and most wonderful chicken parm Not to be missed
Missing the brunch menu but it was still a good chill.
Outside dining not very organized. Food average but enjoyable. Service pleasant.
Lovely, attentive service. Mediocre food and drink.
Negroni was watery.
Lobster ravioli were mushy.
Chicken Milanese was overcooked to a leathery texture.
Date nite with my wife.
