If you are looking for great pasta with a very good selection, you must go to Serafina. It was absolutely amazing and I can not wait to go back
Was wonderful for adults and children. Casual and relaxed atmosphere in the middle of everything. Fantastic homemade pasta.
Pretty fast service while busy but once it slowed down our waiter was no where to be found. The food was delicious
Food was amazing. The table next to us was really loud and somewhat disturbing.
The food and drinks were outstanding. The service was horrific. We had 5 different servers throughout the meal. We waited 15 mins before I flagged the manager/hostess down to let her know that no one had taken our drink order yet. After that I had to ask for water and ice multiple times throughout the night. The waiter only checked in on us 1x. We ordered a bottle of wine and had to ask for an extra glass 3 times over 20 mins. Finally, we walked up to the bartender and asked for a 3rd glass.
I asked for ice 5 times throughout the night and on got it on the 3rd request. I gave up for a second glass of ice. They also didn’t refill our water glasses.
When we approached the hostess/manager at the end of the night about the horrible service. She asked us, “If it was so bad then why did you tip?” For reference, We normally tip 25-30% for great service as we know the wait staff live off tips so to “prove a point” we tipped 15%. But we didn’t want to impact their well being. Most of the staff kept disappearing to the bathroom on their phones. For the majority of the night.
The table next to us was complaining about the same thing. They waited 25 mins for a cappuccino at the end of their meal.
The waiter indicated they had computer issues but that shouldn’t have prevented them from checking in on us. I dine out at least 5x a week for client meals and meetings. This was by far the worst service I have ever experienced.
I had heard great things about Serafina so I was looking forward to it. But after that experience I won’t waste my time or money and will be sure to tell everyone I know to avoid the place. I couldn’t believe how little the manager cared about the customers and their satisfaction.
We were upstairs but it was really hard to keep a conversation. We literally had to scream if you wanted to be heard.
We enjoyed a nice lunch sitting outside watching people go about their day. The tuna burger was delicious and I would order it again. Good location in the district.
Great service and thoroughly enjoyed the branzino
Service was awful. Food was just ok - the other Serafina locations are much better. Will never come back here.
Nice restaurant. Definitely would go back. Great cover bringing kids.
When your food arrives with little pieces of other food that clearly are not ingredients in the dish that you ordered, it doesn’t entice me to come back again to dine. Way overpriced too for unhygienic food.
The food was mediocre and our order was placed incorrectly. Not a huge issue or problem however our waiter left us for several minutes (15-20) with the desert menu and never came back to follow up. My mother’s veal was practically fat chops and my fathers eggplant looked like an appetizer. We were very disappointed since we do love this location however we will not be returning.
Calamari is amazing, but I was slightly disappointed my bolognese sauce tasted more like tomato sauce. And service was veryyyy slow for a monday night.
We were disappointed in the service and one of the salads contained chicken that was inedible. Although it was not eaten and a complaint was made, the server failed to take it off our bill. Additionally, the server failed to mention that a gratuity was included in the bill, clearly intentional with the hope that I would not notice and add a tip. Not good for the reputation of the restaurant.
We love the food and the service here. It is consistently delicious and the people are always so friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food & great music!
Nice place to kick start date night! Meatpacking section of NYC.
We were looking for a unique location that had some vegan options for one member of our party. Everything was great food was hot and delicious, service was great and location perfect.
Not a very good place!!! Overrated. Tourist trap.
The clams were bad and service wasn’t the best.
We sat outside on a beautiful Saturday. I was there last weekend an enjoyed the food and people watching. This will be one of my favorite places downtown.
Food and atmosphere we're good; just be sure to double-confirm your check's amount—our server added $10 for no apparent reason.
Too expensive for the food. The linguine alla vongole needed garlic.
Private messaged Serafina!
I was surprised at how mediocre the food was compared to the other locations. I also found the restaurant to be quite dirty.
Horrible dinner experience. The hostess (lady w/ black curly hair) ignored us repeatedly and was extremely rude (yelling) to one of the waiters who was trying to prepare us a table after noticing how long we had been waiting. She not only yelled at the waiter in front of everyone but gave the table to another party that arrived after us. After finally sitting, the waitress took our orders & we never heard from her again. There are too many wonderful restaurants in NYC to ever eat here again. Sorry, but you definitely don't live up to all the hype. The hostess should be FIRED and the waiter promoted.
I reserved for my wedding anniversary with my husband. I asked outside seats but when I arrived there, there's no seat outside so I had to wait. And foods is normal but very expensive. There's no value to come back.
Food came out cold. The food wasn’t worth the price and don’t order the ricotta pancakes. They’re dry and taste like a scone.
Not bad if you can sit outside or if you just want to grab a drink. There’s just something very impersonal about this place.
Ok place to stop by for easy and good food.
While the food was delicious and the service was good, we were seated on the second floor which was very dark, crowded, and extremely loud and hot. Luckily we were seated near a window which we opened to help with the heat.
Breakfast portions were a little small, but still filling. Food quality was good and service was attentive. Dining room a little smaller.
The appetizers and wine were good, but the restaurant is small and stunk of dirty dish rags and bleach so strongly that we had to leave and find another restaurant for dinner.
The website says this restaurant has a gluten menu and has many gluten free options. No gluten free bread or bagels. Only gluten free pasta. Can here for brunch, unfortunately I didn’t want pasta for brunch. The upstairs restaurant in the Meatpacking district smelled of bleach and dead animals. Not coming back.
Gus the waiter was great
Disappointed at the service and food received at this Serafina. The lady who sat us was rude and arrogant. After finally being seated outside near the door, the waitress service was average, and when the food came it was terrible. The pizza was cold and obviously cooked earlier in the day with a bunch of arugula thrown on the top. The veal was the worst we’ve ever received. It was thin and over cooked and obviously reheated before coming to our table. The vegetables were old and soft, again obviously reheated and tasted terrible. The only good thing about this experience was the wine. Do not recommend. Will never be back.
Seemed like fast food (lacked freshness) very dark and cramped restaurant. Very disappointing and i’ve Been regular customer for years at other Serafina locations.
Food wasn’t fresh. It came out in 5 minutes after ordering and the eggs weren’t hot. Disappointing for the price.
Mediocre food, awful bread choice for avocado toast. No coffee refills. Overcooked egg. Marked not to go again.
