We were there early before the crowds. Service was slow - had to keep asking for spoons, cheese, etc - server would run off before any of us could finish talking & not particularly friendly. Pastas over cooke. Not the best experience.
Love Serafina! Eating at different ones & I like this location. Also, our reservation was for noon which is when they opened. We got there early & since we had an upcoming reservation, they let us come on inside after we asked because it was cold & windy & we were freezing. We really appreciated that! We will be back!
Great for families. Something for everyone!
Great, great food, but too loud, too crowded and very stressed waiting staff. I have lived in NYC and I'm used to crowded bars and restaurants , but they accommodated too many people in a small space, between that and loud music a normal conversation could not be held. This was 5:30 pm on a Saturday.
Decided to try this place for the first time. We were seated by the bar on the first floor. The space was pretty tight. We saw some people drinking champagne so we decided to try their champagne cocktail, and their rose champagne. We liked the rose champagne better because the champagne cocktail was diluted by too much ice. The fried calamari was good and crispy. The mushroom risotto with truffle oil was the best I had. My daughter ordered the spaghetti with lobster in spicy sauce and she said it was just okay. Overall, we’re glad we tried this place and will probably be back, but not for a while. There’s just too many choices in the meatpacking district.
My food was quite cold when it arrived (chicken paillard) and my husbands order of the tuna burger was wrong. We order from the Serafina Ludlow and have been going to the Serafina on 61st for over a decade. The meatpacking location is just serving tourists and doesn’t try to keep up with its other locations service and food quality. It’s not the first time that I’ve been to the location at Meatpacking and something hasn’t gone well.
Impeccable service. Very personable staff.
I have been to Serafina’s other locations and loves each one. The Meatpacking location was a bit of a disappointment. The serving was slower and less attentive in comparison to the other locations. I waited for about three minutes adter my plate was serve for fresh ground peppers but waa unable to get any of the staff’s attention. I went there on Presidents’ Day for lunch and the place was quiet. No reason for slow services. I will stick to my upper Eastside Serafina.
Amazing, fantastic, cool ,friendly and the food out of this world
Excellent gnocchi and pizzas.
Holiday treat with their Champagne cocktail. The Veal Scaloppine was perfect while the ravioli w sage a bit salty for my taste, but otherwise flavorful. Attentive courteous waitstaff.
Unpleasant experience overall. The staff were inattentive and the food was mediocre for the price point.
It was horrible
A real neighbourhood gem. Great attentive service. Fresh and flavoursome Italian food. Compact and interesting wine list.
Enjoyed the meal and the staff was great! We were able to accommodate everyone’s busy schedules.
It took 10 minutes to be welcomed after being seated at our table. We got up from the table to ask for a other round of drinks 3 Times. The staff seemed to be more interested in chatting in the stairwell than waiting on the tables. The food was room temp when it hit the table. I don’t like cold Salmon Benedict. We will not be returning, and if anyone asks... we will tell them to dine elsewhere. The job of a waiter is make sure that the dining experience is at the very least pleasant. The staff couldn’t even meet this minimum.
Awesome food everyone loved their meals. I️ enjoyed it very much.
The food was great but staff was all over the place. Service was OK.
Food was absolutely delicious, pasta was so fresh. Ambiance was cute, cozy and energetic! Definitely can’t wait to go back.
It was quaint. Everything was excellent. Perfect spot for after a gallery visit! Will definitely return when in the area!
Both times I've been to this restaurant I've been sat upstairs. It's pretty private and great if you have a loud party, not so great if you want to people watch. Food is always really good, and their wine list is great too (good mix of California and Italy).
Food was good, but I’ve been to other locations in which the service was much better. Not sure if it was because it was an early Sunday dinner, but the staff wasn’t that engaged.
Went there as soon as they opened @ 1130am to eat the lemon ricotta pancakes and was extremely disappointed that it was not available. Instead, Restaurant gave us a tiramisu to make up for our disappointment. The tiramisu was excellent.
Absolutely horrendous service. Do NOT go here. We were rushed in and out, they never took our drink orders, I had to find the waiter multiple times and still was not sure if there even was a designated waiter for us, the food came out before water or even drinks. When my cocktail came out the waiter spilled half of it on the table and didn't say anything, just avoid this place at all costs.
Eh. That’s it.
Rude and unpleasant
I love this place! The food was absolutely outstanding, especially considering that it was not overpriced! The cocktails were delicious. The servers were attentive and nice and the environment was great.
I was disappointed in this restaurant. The service was pretty lousy. I had to ask for bread with our meal. The waiter brought out bread with oil. Then I had to ask for plates so we could put our bread on something. The waiter brought out 1 plate. We put the oil on the plate but had no plates for the bread. The food was just ok and the portions are small. There are plenty of restaurants in NY go somewhere else.
Great place to come in a group
I made a reservation for Serafina since we were visiting the Highline. It's very close & in a cool area! The restaurant wasn't as loud as some other ones that we had passed and I loved the actual restaurant itself. I had the filet which was amazing. It came with a peppercorn sauce that I could have drank. For dessert we shared the tiramisu which was a bit dry and not very flavorful. All in all, a great place!
Food was subpar and accommodations not very comfortable.
The food is really bad and cheap, the service great, the Friday night party crowds very loud
Awful server, didn't take order correctly, laughed when I asked for ice for the second time, attitude
I had the pizza with the goat cheese and it was delicious. Being as fussy as I am with pizza, it is not easy for me to give a good review but Serafina deserves a thumps up for their pizza. It is a great place to sit outside, have a cocktail and meal with friends, after you finish walking the High Line. Some of the places directly after the High Line are crowded. This was perfect for us and we enjoying the atmosphere of casual dining in NYC.
I had the extremely unfortunate experience of dining at this very low value restaurant. My steak reminded me of what I burn on my BBQ grill. They could not make margaritas and had to send it back. A soda came out warm with one ice cube. So, the food was terrible, the drinks were warm including the beer, and it was insanely expensive for what we received. I do not recommend this place. to anyone. BAD EXPERIENCE!!!!
Serafina Meatpacking is a favorite spot of ours because of its fun relaxed atmosphere and great Italian and contemporary comfort food. So it was the perfect pick for an early dinner on 9/23 to celebrate before grabbing a quick cab to see Bruno Mars. Sitting outside on a beautiful Saturday evening allowed us to people watch, have a great conversation, and enjoy a great relaxed meal. The cocktails are well crafted and we recommend the Goat Cheese salad (we added chicken) and the Regina Pizza. Always fun energetic courteous service. I greatly appreciate our server's willingness to provide me with our check immediately after ordering once I let him know we needed to leave quickly after dinner to make it Madison Square Garden on time. Many thanks for a great start to our evening!!!
Food and service are great.
We started w/meatballs appetizer which was very good. I had the Gorgonzola burger which wasn't that good. Others had the pasta w/peas, chicken in a touch of cream (heavy touch) that was dry. Lastly pasta pomodora which was ok. Fresh bread was good. The price was good but being an Italian cook I wouldn't go back. Also very limited alcohol choices.
After visiting the Whitney Museum, we were looking for something nearby. The menu for this place looked appealing on open table, so we booked a spot. We were greatly warmly by the hostess, and our service was prompt and friendly. The food was really terrific - better than we even expected. My farfalle with limoncello sauce and shrimp was unique and delicious - I'd go back there just to have it again. Only one mild complaint - the pizza (huge for a personal size and quite tasty) arrived a luke warm. If it had arrived piping hot this would be an unqualified rave!
