I’ve been to Serafina before and usually have a great time, but this visit felt pretty average overall. The restaurant was much quieter than usual—not just in volume, but in atmosphere. It lacked the usual vibe and energy that makes dining there feel special. Unfortunately, the service was a bit of a mess. My first wine glass had lipstick stains on it, and my husband had to ask for two new napkins—both of his had lipstick marks too. My silverware was mismatched, with a dessert fork instead of a salad fork. None of this ruined the meal, but it did leave a sloppy first impression. That said, the food was really good—fresh, flavorful, and well-executed—and the space itself is still beautiful. It just didn’t come together the way it usually does. Hopefully it was just an off night, but this time around, it felt a little underwhelming.

They were very accommodating at Serafina for all my food, sensitivities and allergies and we even had chef Katy come out and talk to me to confirm that I was feeling OK and all the things she did to take care of me to make sure there was no cross contamination. I definitely recommend if you’re staying in the San Juan area to stop there for amazing food, and service.

Simplemente no vale la pena ir. Los precios no van acorde con los platos, tanto en presentación como en sabor. Servicio regular. Y los postres pesimos; parecen que llevaban 1 mes en la nevera de lo seco que estaba el bizcocho de chocolate.

Overall very good, as usual. The food was delicious; one suggestion - the Branzino tasted very good and fresh, and good sauce there made - the only issue was they topped off the whole dish with big sea salt granules for some reason which made some of the Bites almost inedible. It would have been perfect as is without the chef adding salt at the end

If you want good service, don’t come here. I think it took us 30 minutes just to get our first round of drinks and the restaurant was basically empty.

There are many items on the menu-salads, pastas, etc. but the very best thing is their pizza. They have a huge pizza oven that delivers a crisp yet doughy and delicious. We sat outside and it was festive and fun.

Terrible experience waited 1:45 for the food to come, just regular low grade Italian food over cooked pasta, so many options to dine in San Juan please do not consider this place!

I’ve dined at Serafina in other locations and had a pleasant experience so I went with a familiar option as I was staying in the neighborhood. As I arrived at the restaurant and approached the hostess she barely spoke above a whisper. When asked if we wanted to sit inside or out I said inside and she proceeded to walk us to an outside table, threw the menus on the table and walked away. At this point I was confused but since it wasn’t too hot I shrugged my shoulders and sat outside. My waiter was fine and pleasant but didn’t come over to check on us other than bringing the food when it was ready and bringing the check. My food arrived first with my guests food arriving almost 10 minutes later. By then my food was cold. If you’re looking for a great overall experience, this place isn’t where you’ll get it. If you’re looking for a quick meal with no frills, you’ll get that here.
