Serafina East Hampton
We serve creative pastas and risottos brought to life with the freshest locally grown produce and ingredients. The pizzas, are our most popular items with over two dozen selections. Choose from a wide selection of appetizers and salads including Prosciutto e Bufaline, Lobster Carpaccio, Calamari, and Goat Cheese Salad. Entrée selections feature several seafood and meat items grilled fresh. Save room for homemade desserts such as our traditional tiramisu or chocolate soufflé and Italian cheesecake.
This review only pertains to this restaurant in the off season. I’m generally a fan of the Serafina chain. And this particular restaurant in the summer is very good. In the off season it’s a different story. I think the pizza holds its own so if you’re just going for pizza- may be fine. I’m pretty sure they shut down after the new year so we may have been there for their last night
The food from the kitchen was tasteless and terrible. The service was throwing food out to the table at warp speed - salad wasn’t done but entree was put beside it. Sauce is better from a jar at a market.
Like I said- this is only at this place during off season. But dropping nearly 200 it’s unacceptable to not deliver on basic food quality. If you can’t operate efficiently in December - than just shut it down earlier. Destroying your brand.
We love Serafina.
Always enjoy Serafina in east hampton. Everything was great despite one table of very noisy ..very loud people . Not usually an issue here. Service was great as usual
Great food. Great service. Great location
A bit disappointing compared to other times ive been there. Salad was really good but the spaghetti squash was tasteless. Sauce tasted like it came out of a can. Also after our credit cards were charged the owner or maitrede came back to say he gave us another tables bill and we owed him $6. Wanted to recharge us for their mistake. We said eat it. Very tacky
Food was OK-- too salty in general. We ordered a bottle of wine (for 2 of us) and meant to cork the rest and take it home, but the waiter poured it into our glasses before we could protest. I think it's best as a pizza/salad place, avoiding the other menu items.
Very disappointing meal, wine was warm , you couldn’t taste any veal in the Milanese only bread crumbs!
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!
No disappointments here
Usually love this restaurant. It has consistently very good pasta and pizza. Having grown up spending summers in Italy I can say my standards are high. Was a bit disappointed when my daughter
took a bite of her pasta and found a huge piece of paper in her mouth. Looked like perhaps a butter wrapper and it didn’t affect the taste. However, when brought to the waiter’s attention it was totally ignored as though we were out of line to even mention it. We were not looking for anything from the restaurant but an acknowledgement would have been nice. Not great customer service people!
We took our parents to dinner while vacationing in East Hampton, and unfortunately, our experience at Serafina East was not what we had hoped it would be. Our waitress did not speak very good English and had a difficult time answering our questions regarding the menu. When we received our meals, many of the changes we had requested for our dishes were not made. We went without refills of our drinks through the entire meal, and when we received the refills, the unsweetened “iced” tea was so warm the ice cubes melted away. I love Serafina in the city, and was disappointed that they did not live up into our expectations.
We sat outside and had a delicious array of foods. Pizza was delicious with a think crust. Pasta was tasty. Spaghetti squash for those of us who were more calorie conscious was delicious.
We love the Serifinas that are in NYC, but our experience in East Hampton wasn't great at all. We weren't greeted for several minutes while 4 waiters were standing around conversating. It took a good amount of time for our waiter to take our drink order. All of our meals, besides the filet, were not that good. I got a pasta with a cream sauce, but it was butter instead of cream. Definitely not worth the prices!
Great food but a very noisy space with tables very close to each other.
I’m torn, the Service was not as you’d expect. Very subpar. The food was fantastic. Ambiance was really great, we sat outside under the lighted canopy.
Good food and great vibe
Loved the truffle pizza, and our waiter suggested it. Great little restaurant.
One of the poorest dining experiences we've experienced in a long time. Just the facts:
1) Had an 8:30 reservation, didn't sit down until 9:15.
2) Took waiter 20 min until he took our dinner order.
3) We were waiting 45 min for our entrees, and the last of them came 10 min after the 1st.
4) All the while the waitstaff was nowhere to be found, had to pour our own wine, beg for water to be refilled, for a plate, etc.
5) To add insult to injury, the manager's attitude couldn't have been worse. He was surly, inattentive, and couldn't have cared less.
Food was decent, but we certainly won't be going back to Serafina in East Hampton again! Plenty of other good restaurants in the Hamptons where you get good service and management/staff that care about their customers.
On vacation at the beach, we dined at the outdoor tables, food was delicious, appetizers of mozzarella and prosciutto and the burata were fabulous
Entrees of pizzas and pasta were delicious.
Cocktails were great- good bar tender
Service was appropriately attentive, and not intrusive
Will definitely return
Rude staff, felt invisible. So-so food, run-down appearance, disappointing
Food was excellent- especially the clam and shrimp pasta. Excellent value for money.
Was like Kiddie City! Too many unruly children.
Parents need to control their kids and maybe a gentle suggestion from the manager may help. We had to sush the kids several times.
Food always good, but had to send back cheesecake which was literally a hockey puck. I just dont get how the kitchen sends that out. Nice try. Also, waiter flicked a bug off the table-didn’t think we saw it. Again, nice. We do like the place but management needs to tighten up given these slips.
If it wasn’t for the noise level I would say perfect. Next time we will sit outside
Poor service. Food feels like it is trending down from previous visits.
The waiter was horrible Service was only under demand as if we were not important
food was good
but the waiter was terrible
Had reservations about our reservations - and we were right. Had to wait nearly 30 minutes for our table even though we arrived on time for our reservation and the restaurant was barely half full. We had a glass of wine at the bar while waiting. Nice bartender - told us there are over 200 Serafina's in a number of countries. Don't know if we believed him but it was a nice story. Noticed this restaurant seems to do a lot of take out business. Staff and manager seemed pretty stressed in keeping up. Hostess gets us for our table. She was ok, but definitely had that "I don't want to be here" attitude. As we went by the host stand, we a manager berating a customer over the phone about his take-out order. We get seated. Noticed the dining area was pretty filthy - spilled food and drinks, napkins on the ground, etc. Doesn't seem like anyone is cleaning up or keeping up with bussing the tables. Our server comes by asking if we want water (yes). She never returns - even after asking for her and asking for another server - no one else comes by. We never see her again anywhere in the restaurant. 25 minutes later, we walk. Probably should have left after fewer red flags, but glad we did (found an excellent greek restaurant shortly after). No reason to return to Serafina.
Great place, stopped by after visiting montauk lighthouse. Food and service was good
The food was great and the service was very good too. Definitely would recommend. Margarita Pizza outstanding!
The worst service. I didn’t mind that it was slow but the waitress got every dish wrong.
It was a beautiful night and we ate outside on the patio. Our waiter was awesome....so personable. We asked if they could make chicken parm even though it wasn't on the menu and they obliged with n o issues at all. The brown butter sage ravioli was delicious.
The service here is awful. Untrained waitstaff with attitude. Food is exceedingly mediocre. Always disappointed when I try to give this place “another chance”. It sucks and probably always will.
I always go to Serafina and we have a great time but yesterday service was awful, the staff was rude and I felt like I was being rushed out of the restaurant in less than an hour. Definitively not enjoyable. I'm disappointed that after so many years of going to Serafina and spending so much money there through out the years that the staff would treat you so poorly.
Great restaurant for the Hampton experience. We loved the vibe and the only disappointment was that’s we couldn’t get pizza as apparently they were so busy they fell behind in getting them out timely. The other pasta dishes made up for it. They hit the spot.
No pizzas available at a pizza restaurant
I have never been served half a piece of fish before anywhere, let alone for $32., totally doused in lemon. They should be ashamed.
Love the food!’
Overpriced for portion sizes. Delicious but $19 for a spinach salad app. All pastas delicious but small ish. Service poor
Meh... food was average. I like garlic but wooo. Please tell the Chef not to put more than half a pound of it on a single pizza. Service was attentive and people nice all over.
Food is ok, nothing special. Very pricey, small portions.. Average about $30-35 per entree. Sides were plain steamed broccoli and roasted potatoes. Very uninspired.
