What can I say - a true gem in a hide-a-way location in Fort Lauderdale. Our waiter Joe (birthday today) was awesome and very attentive. Our meals were great and very tasty...will return this Saturday evening once again...
I could make better food! The hostess did not even greet me until I asked after waiting there for 10 minutes. My husband's pork chop was served raw even those butterflied and stuff? Then when it came back after we sent it back it was the same exact plate and piece of work what decides still there cold.
Food was excellent and our waitress was outstanding Mary Jane. She was attentive, polite and engaging. The food was well prepared and substantial. Will return
Mémorable supper. Nice ambiance and good wine and service. Take the special of the day délicieux.
Beautiful setting. Great food. Great service. We love coming here
Excellent in EVERY respect! We go there all the time.
We were a little leery due to some recent poor reviews, but the food and service were great. The portions are HUGE, so dinners can easily be shared.
Pictures are bit misleading. Wanted to like this place, but left with a horrible dinning experience. Our server did not appear interested in taking care of his guest, would go missing for long stretches. But the worst part of this restaurant is the food. The seafood risotto was served with spoiled shrimp. The server agreed it had a fowl order but served in anyway. We were a party of 5, no one enjoyed the meal.
New to Lauderdale and very happy to have come across this gem. Waterfront location but just off from the hustle and bustle of Las Olas. Good classic Italian cuisine, nice wine list and great service. Would recommend and will be back often.
First time there and pleasantly surprised as the front is unassuming and small, but it opens up at the back to lovely area on the water.
Tom our waiter was amazing too.
Love this place
Delicious dinner, great ambiance...great service!! All in, one of the best choices we have made on Open Table ever!!
Beautiful restaurant. Walk thru to a water view place in Italy. Great food and nicely priced. Cant wait to go back.
The Burrata had spoiled and they didn’t take it off the bill. They should have taken it off the bill and apologized.
Food and service were both good. However, we took my mom there who was visiting from out of town mainly because of the "waterview" as it was almost full moon. Don't go expecting to have a view. The only thing you can see is the back of huge boats which is misleading from the name of the restaurant. There are many more options in the area with an actual view if that is what you're interested in. Prices are fairly pricey for the lack of ambiance indoors and out.
A gem of a place. Great food and service. It was my first visit and we where rewarded with a fabulous evening. From the bread to the desert and everything in between.
We sat outside next to the docks with the full moon lighting up the water. WOW.
Loved it first time we go for lunch.
Great service. Patrician on piano fabulous. Ovrrcooked/chewy fish (snapper). Fish was not good at all. Everything else was good though. Seems like the chef has a problem with fish, based on my experience and the review below. We should have sent it back but we chose to be silent on it.
Disappointing, couldn’t eat the fish - sent back to the kitchen twice and management didn’t seem to care, service was indifferent
This restaurant was recommended, but we were disappointed. When we arrived, we were greeted by the waitress telling us to move to the side so four women behind us could be seated. No hello, welcome to the restaurant, etc. Ordered wine, appetizers, and our meals - food very good. Antipasti came with one slice of tomato and mozzarella - we thought there would be at least two since we were sharing multiple appetizers for two of us. One bathroom was out of order and the other didn’t have soap and prior to leaving, we overheard a guest say the bathroom wasn’t working. At 9:05 pm we had requested our check and at 9:30 pm, we still did not have the check. We noticed the table next to us get up and go to the front desk to pay, so we did the same, and the table of six that has requested their check before us, followed us to pay. As we were leaving the restaurant, a woman came into the restaurant and asked if they were still open and the hostess said no - according to their website, they’re open until 10:00 pm. Overall, the good and atmosphere were good, but the service was lacking!
Second time there. One of our new favorites. Food as good as the last time and the marina location had an excellent atmosphere.
I took a cab ride to get to the reservation where the rude waitstaff informed me that they were closed and it was “my problem” that Open Table had the times wrong. They couldn’t have been less interested that we had gone out of our way to get there and shoved us out the door.
Beautiful setting , on the water. Service
Was excellent. But food (Sunday Sauce)
Was plain, sparse and overcooked.
My wife’s meal of pasta with meat sauce was
Also plain and overcooked.
This is a little hidden gem of a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale and has incredible ambiance, service and made to order food.
Appetizers were really good - potato leek soup and grilled octopus. Entrees weren't great at all lamb chops and lasagna. Disappointed that only tables for 4 sit by dock edge all tables for 2 are one row in. In addition to this we happen to be seated in a section where the screen that protects you from direct sun was broken so we really had no view. Also, they don't own the dock so you cannot enjoy this restaurant by boat. All in all the atmosphere is great for a date night and we might come back to give the entrees another chance since the appetizers were so good.
I had been to Serafina a couple of years ago when invited by a friend. I loved it, and so chose it as a romantic place to take my girl for a late Valentines Day dinner. What a stark contrast to my first experience. The waiter, who had a strong Serbian accent, was gruff and rushed us from the very start. When the food arrived, which would have been delicious, was only slightly warmed and became cold very quickly. I did not ask to send it back, it would have taken too much time. When serving our entrees, the waiter removed my date's freshly buttered bread, and my still 1/4 full glass of wine. We were so taken back by this odd behavior, that WE were now the one's in a rush to leave! I think if the service was better, the experience would have been better. Havent decided if I will ever go back.
To start we were surprised at the $5 valet charge and insulted that you had to pay in advance. We were 10 minutes late for a 5:30 reservation, due to very heavy traffic. When we arrived we were scolded. The kitchen scoffed at a request for onion on a salad. The waitress made a face and said, “ hmm, gee, I will have to check with the chef.” The salad arrived without onion. And they refused to put the dressing on the side of the other salads that were ordered, insisting that it was lightly dressed. Which it was not. The Caesar salad was drowning in dressing. I have to admit, I am put off immediately when it states on the menu, “no substitutions”. Seriously!?
Ok let’s get to the food. Not good. The sauces were watery and the pasta was not properly drained. The pasta was completely overcooked to the point of mush. My daughter sent back a mushroom pasta because it was mush and tasteless. Not sure if it was tasteless because the water in the pasta diluted it or just because it was terrible.
My husband had a stuffed veal chop. It was dry and tasteless.
They took the mushroom pasta off the check and a grilled octopus and calamari appetizer was ordered instead. ThE octopus was burnt.
We came here because it had favorable reviews and said it was a beautiful romantic, charming restaurant that had great food. It is run down, lacks charm and is not accommodating. . The only plus was the waitress who tried to make things better. The moral in the restaurant, among the staff seemed awful. Needless to say, I will not return.
It was lovely evening. The setting as usual was great. The wine was great and the food out of this world. service was above and beyond
Always enjoy our time at Serafina on the Water. Staff is great. Food is amazing. We return often when we are in the area.
Service and food were excellent. Was disappointed that our quite corner table for dinner became extremely loud after a party of about 15 came in for corporate dining.
Waitress was not very good at all. Too bad as the food and environment was great
Food is excellent . Great selection on menu and always additional options with specials.
Staff friendly and attentive. Always very accommodating.
Love sitting outside on the patio. Highly recommend it to all my friends.
Delicious food and outside dinning on the water. Will definetly be back!
Bianca was lovely...she deftly recited the specials to “ try to change our minds” about what we intended to order. And, she was successful!! My husband had snapper With angel hair pasta and said it was quite good. I stuck with the osso bucco and risotto which was excellent. Bianca also gave us a suggestion for a restaurant in Islamorada
where we intended to visit the next day. We went there and really enjoyed it.
it was a special occasion, our 49th wedding anniversary. Several of the ladies sang to us and we were treated to
tiramisu..It was incredibly light and fluffy and delicious!
Great place to eat. You should try it!!
Very good fresh seafood, wonderful ambiance and god service, and It’s Italian!
Excellent meal and lovely ambiance.
My husband and I have been coming to here for years. We enjoy the ambiance and excellent service at Serafina by the water and the food dishes are superb! We have never been disappointed!
Table was on time as requested, "scenic view" of the Ft. Lauderdale Intra-Coastal waterway. Good wine list, a bit on the high prices, recommendations by the waiter were very good.
The entrees were excellent and we had an excellent time.
We where there for Velanttines day withe friends and we had very nice meal and time!!
