Overall great experience, fine Italian food with even better service
Sarah was our server & she was fantastic !!!!! We will return & we will ask for Sarah!!! The Andre Busalds
Another wonderful meal at Serafina with friends on the water. The charred octopus as good as ever and red snapper made to perfection. Mahi was excellent as was Zuppa di Pesci. Great service from Tom - nice beverage recommendations!
Perfect venue for a date night. Water front dining on the east side of the building provides ample shade from the afternoon sun. Our server, Sarah was friendly, attentive and definitely knew the menu. Our pasta was freshly made and cooked perfectly. The place was jumping on a Thursday night so make reservations.
We love the place.
Love the food and great service.
And it is a quiet. No music.
Nice location, excellent service. Food didn’t have a fresh taste, the shrimp was frozen previously as it was water logged and made the red sauce watery. The fra diavalo wasn’t spicy. The restaurant is listed as being on the water, which is just really a boat dock. Ambiance was confusing it was supposed to be a waterfront Italian restaurant but had Halloween decorations draped all over the place and just really didn’t fit the theme.
The food was amazing! Highly recommend!
Food was excellent, service was great. Very enjoyable evening. Will definitely return!
This is likely the best meal I will have this year.... fantastic!!
First time there and a wonderful experience. The neighborhood is a little rundown, but once you are inside, they have made the most of a lovely water/boat view. Tables are white linen, soft table lighting and overhead fans make outside dining about as comfortable as can be. Service is very attentive, but they don't rush you. Delicious food and a complimentary warm bread with olive oil, that was especially good. My husband had the veal picante and I had the vodka pasta - both excellent. We split a caprese salad with "to die for" fresh mozzarella and large basil leaves. We had the "not to be missed" tartuffo for dessert. The whole evening was lovely. Large portions, so we brought enough home for a another meal! All the diners were smiling and it was clear they were all having as good a time as my husband and myself. Highly recommend. Based on the crowd on a Sunday night, I would say reservations are a good plan. Don't miss this jewel of a restaurant. And they also have $5 valet parking - a bonus in a busy neighborhood.
Great service lovely view.
Great service and they have a great view too
Food was excellent. The server Joe was courteous and helpful with food recommendations.
I wish the wait staff didn't need to wear masks as it was hard to hear my server. Otherwise, the experience was excellent!
We were a party of 5. Everyone loved their meals. The wait staff were very accommodating! It was my husband’s birthday so they gave him his own dessert! They put a candle in it & lit it. It was very special!
The appetizer and bread was ok.. The soup I had was very good, I had that as my meal.
Great food and nice ambiance with a professional staff.
Excellent and great service
Dinner was amazing and the service and ambiance perfect! We will def be back!
Was a great experience with my beautiful partner! Thank you
We were seated at 7:30, they close at 10p, our meals didn't arrive until 9:35p. We all took a few bites and asked for to go boxes. Several tables around us were seated far after us, ate, and had checks on their table prior to our food arriving. The waitstaff was not very attentive to even grab attention asking, finally she said she checked on it and said it would be right out. Then probably 30 more minutes before it did. Our appetizers did come out quickly then it was an hour at least later our meals came. She did apologize and they didn't charge us for our drinks, but a manager should have come to our table to address. I understand places are short staffed and stressed right now but that doesn't make up for the lack of customer service.
Excellent food! Nice ambience!
Sarah was great very very attentive!!!
The gnocchi were so light amazing and the gravy (sauce) was absolutely delicious I wish I could cook half as good as the chef
And the finality the gigantic piece of tiramisu was the best I have ever eaten!!!!!
All the chefs my “compliments”
Every time I travel to Ft Lauderdale I come to Serafina
And I am never disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good and service were superb. The stuffed pork chop special was sublime and the parmigiana risotto was a great complement to it. We ordered the caccio e pepe as a pasta course and it was wonderful but it was well overpriced at $36.
Serafina was so incredibly good! The seating outside was so pretty and the food was incredible. I haven't had such great gnocchi since visiting Italy. I will be coming back every time I visit fort Lauderdale!
Food was ok not great like other Italian places in ft Lauderdale. Service was fair and the linguini with clam sauce was dry. We sent back for more sauce and still came out dry. My wife didn’t eat.
This was our second visit to Serafinas. The first time was amazing - great delicious food and outstanding service. Last night our water glasses remained empty, the artichoke appetizer was so bad we sent it back, and dinner took 90+ minutes to get to our table. On the way out, I held the door open for a man who had difficulty walking, who I later found out was the owner. He never made eye contact and never said thank you. Nice way to treat a patron. No need to go back to a restaurant like this again. Unfortunate because the setting and location are lovely.
We greatly apologize about your negative experience at Serafina Waterfront. It is definitely not typical for Serafina, thus we would like to invite you back to Serafina to rectify this experience, if you do decide to come back please let a manager know upon your arrival so we can make sure you are properly treated. In regards to the man, he is the previous owner. Unfortunately, he is partially deaf and has alzheimers. I can assure you no disrespect was intended.
The food was salty overcooked and the view horrible. Pictures of the place show a gorgeous view of the inter coastal. It must have been a photoshop job because it was absolutely not a view at all. The special occasion was a failure. In sum don’t waste your money on this place. Food and atmosphere were terrible.
Good food, fine wine, wonderful service. Definitely will go again.
One of my faves! Neighborhood gem, but I’ll drive the distance. Great service, great food and nice atmosphere.
First time to Serafina and it was everything was as good as it was cracked up to be. We had an out of town guest who was overwhelmed with the ambience and the setting. Nikki Griffith the singer on Wednesday nights was fabulous. We really enjoyed her. And then the meal started which was fabulous. Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese was a great beginning. We then had a delicious salad and Pappardelle Bolognese which we loved. Of course, coffee and desert were excellent as well. Our server was a real pro.
Food, ambiance and our server Mary Jane were amazing! Couldn’t ask for a better evening!
Linda experiencia junto al canal. Comida italiana muy buena
Don't let the street view fool you. This is a perfect example of not judging a book by it's cover. Absolutely outstanding food, service, ambiance. The gnocchi and pappredelle are amazing!
Wonderful restaurant, lovely menu, and extremely fresh and delicious food. Great view on the water, highly recommend!
Possibly the best Italian dinner I’ve ever had. Absolutely love the food!
Off night for a typically outstanding restaurant. The main complaint for dinner last night was the smell. It seems as though the the entire restaurant was dowsed with Simple Green making it difficult to enjoy dinner. Every bite of food I took was mixed with the aroma of simple green and it was not pleasant. When we entered the restaurant it was not very busy and it seemed as though the servers were everywhere, plentiful and helpful. As the night wore on the and the restaurant filled up the service got slower and servers, scarcer. Thankfully there was a pay by scanning a QR code app on the receipt which expedited our departure. Unfortunately, the system failed to notify our server who chased us out onto the street to ask about the payment.
Typically this is my go to restaurant when I want good Italian food, after last night I may be rethinking this choice for future dinners.
The Chicken Milanese was almost, but not quite, chickenless. For that it cost me $27.00. The service only worked if you prompted the staff to help you. Overall a very bad experience.
Great service and food was amazing !
Good ambience. Food taste good too except the ravioli because werent home made and had too much pastry dough around the filler. Expensive. The food took ages. Very slow service.
