Off night for a typically outstanding restaurant. The main complaint for dinner last night was the smell. It seems as though the the entire restaurant was dowsed with Simple Green making it difficult to enjoy dinner. Every bite of food I took was mixed with the aroma of simple green and it was not pleasant. When we entered the restaurant it was not very busy and it seemed as though the servers were everywhere, plentiful and helpful. As the night wore on the and the restaurant filled up the service got slower and servers, scarcer. Thankfully there was a pay by scanning a QR code app on the receipt which expedited our departure. Unfortunately, the system failed to notify our server who chased us out onto the street to ask about the payment.
Typically this is my go to restaurant when I want good Italian food, after last night I may be rethinking this choice for future dinners.
The Chicken Milanese was almost, but not quite, chickenless. For that it cost me $27.00. The service only worked if you prompted the staff to help you. Overall a very bad experience.
Great service and food was amazing !
Good ambience. Food taste good too except the ravioli because werent home made and had too much pastry dough around the filler. Expensive. The food took ages. Very slow service.
Awesome servise and food
Excellent service and food!
Food was just ok, wine was warm it had not been properly chilled. Services was subpar. Overall not worth the price at all. Will not repeat nor recommend.
Not sure how to describe this very underwhelming overpriced meal? other than just that.
I was initially excited by the idea of “authentic Italian “ and I certainly was not eating anything authentic or fresh, homemade.
My ravioli was very frozen and Costco tasting while I wouldn’t mind but the cost for Costco ravioli was very inflated. The mozzarella was still cold in middle yet another disappointment.
Now let’s talk about service… what service? Our waiter NEVER came to see if our food was good or if we needed a refill of water or cocktails.
Btw with a more than 3/4 empty restaurant we could not get the waterfront table that I had reserved.
Good experience. There was 6 of us. Only issue I have is the automatic 20 percent tip and the no mention at end of meal. It’s possible it was on the menu, just don’t recall seeing it. I would have tipped him 20 percent anyway, just don’t care for it when it’s automatic.
Dinner was outstanding! Loved the appetizer’s & entrees! Also, fabulous dirty martini and super Tuscan!
Horrible Experience! Joe, our waiter, didn’t seem at all interested, he seemed more annoyed. Took 15 mins to simply get my Coke, but it was sitting at the bar for pickup the for those 15 mins. Took 1 hour and 20 mins to get our main course after we placed the order. The group behind us received their food first (we didn’t order anything that way special, simple pasta)
As we told them our thoughts, they simple said that they are short cooks in the kitchen. Comped our appetizer but didn’t even receive an apology for the inconvenience. I would have preferred a apology and understand rather than save me some $$$.
Would never recommended or go there again!
The attraction of Serafina is clearly the seating by the water however when it is 85+ degrees outside, that is not comfortable. We opted to sit inside yet it wound up being even hotter inside than outside. There is one, tiny and very old wall A/C unit that does not cool the restaurant. Service got off to a shaky start with 2 servers not knowing who was serving our table. We finally got a server and Tom provided good service going forward. The food was good - not outstanding. Would have been a much better experience had the temperature in the restaurant been comfortable. We definitely would have stayed longer and ordered more drinks and dessert if the A/C was working.
A real treasure. Great view. Delicious food. Our server Nicole was spot on. His timing was perfect. Highly recommend.
I am actually disappointed with my recent visit, as Serafina is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Our server Nicola was great but the food not so good.
We had the octopus which also comes with calamari. The octopus was slightly chewy and I found the calamari to be uneatable as it was undercooked and tasteless.
For our mains we got the cacio and pepe special as well as the osssobucco ravioli.
The Cacio and pepe was $36.00 which I found a bit unreasonable. Yes there were slices of black summer truflfles but the dish was watery and tasteless. I asked where the parmigana was and the server told me there was no cheese in cacio and pepe.
I was bewildered by this comment as I may not speak fluent Italian but I do order this dish in every italian restaurant so I am well aware of what this dish tastes like. It is also not normally served with pappardelle.
The Osso Bucco special was delicious. In the notes for open table we explained we were celebrating a bday which went unacknowledged. This I can look past but bad food and overpriced I cannot.
On a business trip and saw this was highly rated. One of the best meals we had! Waiters so attentive, food was outstanding Lots of locals so we knew we hit the jackpot. Definitely a hidden gem!
Branzino was amazing. Service and everything overall was nice
As always, we enjoyed our meal. It was outstanding. Service was a bit slower than usual and we were unfortunately seated between two very loud parties. The larger of the two tables FaceTimed with family members. It was loud and distracting. We hoped for a quiet evening, but that wasn’t to be last night.
Best meal on this vacation. Great food, service and surroundings. Loved it!
It’s a hidden gem. It doesn’t look like it from the outside but the food and the docked boats in the back make it perfect! I can’t wait to go back!
Very lovely experience went her with my person for his birthday such an authentic Italian feel to the entire establishment. Will visit again!
Great food and service. Great time. May be hard to fund but worth it.
Great food, great staff, friendly and courteous!!! Will definitely be back!
Excellent food and staff
It was for my girlfriends birthday and the ambiance was amazing and beautiful. Food was worth the price and the music playlist really set the mood. Would recommend
The waiter was abrasive, the food all tasted the same, the entire meal felt rushed and we felt pushed to hurry. Completely overrated. Too many good restaurants around to waste an evening here.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. Truly authentic Italian food. The terrace is so beautiful it makes you feel like your in a small town in Italy. I would highly recommend it.
We love Serafina but had not been back since before covid. The food and the service are still amazing. I had a special of the Mahi-mahi that was really great. Our entire party was really happy with all our food. The drinks were a little slow coming out, but we have come to expect things to be a little slow after covid. We will be back for sure.
Very nice experience! The manger on duty was amazing very nice !
We love this place, have been there several times and it is always very good.
The food was ok. The only thing we loved was the Tuna Tartar , the rest of the food was mediocre. The service was kind of slow.
I have been going there for 15+ years.
I believe our waiter was relatively new
but he was disappointing in his service.
Even my entree was not as I ordered it
because he was not familiar with the menu
and what I ordered. It was acceptable but
not as nice an evening as in the past.
FIRST TIME THERE.
FOOD WAS GOOD... AND THAT'S WHERE IT ALL ENDED.
SERVICE WAS AVERAGE TO POOR. HAD TO ASK FOR ALMOST EVERYTHING... CHEESE FOR MY PASTA, BREAD, SALT AND PEPPER (ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WASN'T EVEN ON THE TABLE!). AND THERE WERE OTHERS WHICH I CANNOT RECALL RIGHT NOW.
AS FAR AS AMBIANCE... SAT INSIDE OVERLOOKING THE DOCK AREA AND THAT WAS THE GOOD NEWS. THE BAD NEWS WAS... I FELT LIKE I WAS SITTING OUTSIDE AS THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS EITHER NOT WORKING OR SET IMPROPERLY!!!
MEMO TO THE MGT / OWNER... IT'S AUGUST! THE ROOM GOT WARMER AND WARMER AS THE EVENING WENT ON. COULDN'T WAIT TO GET OUTTA THERE!
THE LAST KICKER WAS THE VALET. THE SIGN ON THE VALET PODIUM SAID $5. WHEN WE PRESENTED OUR CHECK UPON LEAVING... THE VALET INFORMED US IT WAS '$7' EACH! TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU... I WAS GLAD TO PAY IT JUST TO BE 'OUTTA THERE'!
NEVER AGAIN... PERIOD.
(NOTE TO THE OWNER/MANAGER... IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CALL ME, I'LL BE HAPPY TO SPEAK WITH YOU: 561-843-3180)
What a great surprise! Food was delicious! Service phenomenal! A real Italian Cuisine! Don't miss it!
Next time I will request a table next to the water to get a breeze.
Excellent food & service - outdoor seating
Amazing food, huge portions. You could share easily. We can’t wait to go back. Sara was a great server, very sweet and attentive
My friends that I took to Serafina could not thank me enough for my choice of a dining loocation
Great food good service and a nice view. And the charred octopus appetizer alone is worth going for.
Great night! Great food! Joe is a great server!
