Serafina by The Water
The restaurant was by the water. The food was very good. The bread was Sicilian. The proseco was very good.
This was our first dining experience at Serafina by the water. The food was average. Carpaccio di Manson and Pepata di vongole e Cozze were fair. The Capellini Fra Diavolo Con Gamberi was bland and dry. We had to request some additional sauce. I was disappointedly with the Spigola Cilena all’s Positano. It is described as Chilean Seabass seared, with garlic white wine sauce, shrimp, muscles, clams, capers and cherry tomatoes. The first ingredient should be muscles followed by clams and the last ingredient should be Chilean sea bass
It was raining that day And the restaurant head plastic tarps down to stop the rain. The patio was Narrow and cramped for space. The view was great if you liked looking at the back of large boats. On a scale from 1 to 10 the ambience would be a 2
We had a outside dinner reservation. The hostess said it was drizzling and had us sit inside, the other couples that came in at the Same time were seated outside as well as everyone else. We have been there multiple times and she was adamant about us sitting inside due to the weather. Very disappointed. The waiter also put in the wrong order of risotto and wouldn’t remake the correct one because it would take too long. This was a birthday dinner and my guest ended up getting linguine and oil with garlic.
Great service, beautiful outdoor seating. Great food
Very good!! Liquor price is the only thing that is totally out of line!
Food was very authentic. Our waiter kept trying to convince us not to order certain dishes we wanted because they were “too big”. Super distracting which made our experience less than awesome. He was too involved in our meal repeatedly telling us to relax and enjoy our wine when all we really wanted was the dessert menu.
We gave up on dessert because we didn’t want more interruptions. However the cuisine was very good and the ambiance romantic. Note to restaurant our Barbera was chilled as in “was in the fridge” when it shouldn’t be refrigerated.
The food was great! The patio has a nice atmosphere. Just wished there was more of a breeze.
The food, service and view were great. I ordered the Chilean Sea bass (with shrimp, clams and mussels) which tasted great but it was a little small for the cost. The service is always fantastic and we love seeing but the canal.
Cozy restaurant by the waterway. Staff is professional and accommodating. The meal was delicious. Recommend the carpaccio appetizer, the sea bass with clams, mussels and shrimp was delicious and well as one of the specials for the evening, the Snapper Francese. Marco, or server was kind, funny and professional. His recommendations were spot on. We look forward to coming back again...
Unfortunately the service was so poor... that I had convince everyone to please leave tip. Our waiter was grumpy, unfriendly... The Risotto Tutto Mare was so mushy and Fettuccine Con Panna so bland... tasteless... very 😞
First time but not the last one thanks to Marie Jane nice service
Quaint place located on the water. The service was excellent, the tasty and cooked to perfection. The outside entrance does not look like much, but don't let that stop you. I can't wait to go back. Had an awesome meal sitting outside overlooking the middle river and boats.
Great menu, wonderful spot on the water, and always reliable and attentive service. This is the first time that we went when there was a pianist/singer - she was very good and not obtrusive to our dinner or conversation. One of our favorite romantic places for dinner.
Great food, outstanding service. Seated waterfront enjoying the piano player’s wonderful music! A delightful evening!!
Good place for dinner. If you are looking for somewhere quiet . Its right by the water, good customer service...
VIEW AND FOOD AAA+++ AND I AM PICKY! WE HAD OSSO BUCO AND SEA BASS. WOW!!!
A hidden neighborhood gem. The food is spectacular the service equally wonderful and you would never know from looking at the front how awesome a spot this is inside!
right on the water you can eat outside on the dock or inside in a cozy classy warm environment. We were fortunate enough to have a cool light breezy night so I opted for outside under the canopy on the water near all the sailboats and it was gorgeous and a wonderful time. Also excellent signature cocktails
Wonderful food on the water. Great service and good value.
The meatball panini was to die for! Our server was very friendly and informative .
Food was exquisite! Our server Tom was amazing and knew the menu well. This place is amazing. A 10!!!!!
Our waiter Nicolas provided us with outstanding individualized service. He made my sons birthday celebration extra special. The food was served fresh and promptly. We enjoyed a delicious bottle of Chianti a recommendation from our waiter. The tiramisu was heavenly.
Great food excellent service we really enjoyed the restaurant setting out side on the intracoastal
It was closed!!! And we had to go somewhere else
Everything was excellent. Had the lamb shank with mushroom rissoto and it was melt in your mouth tender. Wife had snapper piccata and was equally impressed.
Ambiance is exceptional at the waterfront seating. The view is great. The meal was excellent. My Osso Bucco was cooked to perfection.
A neighborhood gem. Good food and a pleasant waterfront location. The night we went was surpriingly quiet. Good value.
Beautiful waterfront setting with a wonderful pianist playing in the background. Food and service were top rate!
The food was amazing. We had Osso Bucco, beet salad, caprese salad and tiramasu and everything was excellent. The waiter Nicola from Croatia was incredible, friendly very attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Always fresh food and delicious Never a complaint about their staff Neighborhood gem
Food was fantastic and our waiter was very helpful and friendly. My husband and I enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the water. I went home with plenty of leftovers which was also nice.
Although the entrees and main courses did not disappoint, I can't get past the mold in the desert. A portion of it had actually been ingested before the green mold was noticed in the filling. The establishment took the deserts off the bill but should have done more.
We make an annual visit to Serafina each August as part of our last week away at the end of the summer. And this year reminded us why we make an effort to come back. In addition to having a great location on the waterway, Serafina is an example of old world service, traditional Italian fare, and excellent service.
The pasta is made fresh, and the menu offers a range of traditional fare; I've had the bolognese a couple of times and it's a hearty and flavorful sauce that is jam-packed with meat. My wife had a snapper special, egg washed and finished in the oven with a sauce of lemon and butter, served with a side of the house linguini. Both dishes were hearty, perfectly cooked, and served in large portions.
My daughter and her friend who was dining with us both have very specific dietary needs which the restaurant gladly accommodated, and their dishes were both thoroughly enjoyed.
We'll be back next time we are in Fort Lauderdale.
Been to Serafina a couple times and myself and guests were always very pleased. Food is very good - authentic Italian and very fresh seafood. Nice little tucked away view with a patio on the intercoastal. The service is very strong. Come by and check on you just enough without it being too much. Knowledgeable and helpful in selecting the right sized portions, etc. (they do NOT 'oversell'). Place is tucked away off 20th St just South of Sunrise so you likely won't pass it and stroll in. Give it a shot, though. Would recommend.
This was our second visit to Serafina. Food was delicious and service was first class. I also enjoy the waterside outdoor dining area. Extra thank you to our server Nicola for your excellent service. We will definitely visit again when our travels bring us back to Fort Lauderdale.
The best choice ever made when kooking for a authentic en customeroriented italian restaurant! What a great food and service! Thanks for the great evening!
Mary Joe is awesome. Her service was spectacular and we will be requesting her when we return. She made is such a pleasure, basically recommending our entire meal and being spot on with what we’d enjoy.
Lovely and charming waterside location. Had a reservation and was seated upon arrival. Valet parking convenient. Appetizer of burrata cheese and tomatoes was fine, but main courses - snapper and crab ravioli - were over cooked and tasteless. Service was slow. Waited about an hour for the main course to arrive. For two, with wine and dessert, bill was $163. Not worth it. Very disappointing.
Great italian restaurant. Service awsome. Wines very good. Good evironment.
Excellent foods and service. We can’t be any happier to celebrate our anniversary at this restaurant. We will be back as often.
We thought that was original Serafina, but it wasn’t.
The reception was great, but too much food in a plate. Could be shared by 3 people.
