Service was outstanding. Salad was saturated with dressing.
We went to see a broadway show and Serafina had a fantastic location nearby. Overall it was really good food, but I wouldn't say GREAT. We ordered the calamari which wasn't very flavorful and a ceasar salad which was good. The pasta was really good - fresh and delicious. Next time I would probably just stick to an entree and maybe go for dessert instead of appetizers.
Waiter was good
Food served cold that should be hot
Expensive for what I got
Small portions used to get s much bigger salad. Was disappointed and brought two guest
Fine dinner, only one bathroom for the whole restaurant with a long line.
Our experience was exceptional overall in all areas!
The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We were attending the show next door so it was convenient for that.
We love Serafina. We have been to many of there locations. Food is always great.
Nice place ideally located for Bruce on Broadway. Nice meal and great service
Service was excellent. Went after a taping of the Late Show, and we were very hungry and thirsty after a long afternoon without food or drink. Service was quick and kept our water glasses full. I messed up our reservation by accidentally making it for the AM, but was still seated quickly and they even counted me as making our reservation - even though we were 12 hours "late." All that and the food was very good as well.
Appetizer dinner and wine were perfect. Something was wrong with the Nutella Crepe dessert but they took it back no problem Yummy coffee too. The waitress was perfect
I've been to other Serafina locations in Manhattan, while each one as small alterations to their menu, it's my favorite place to get a good Caesar salad and pasta. For this review, I will note that I was on a date and our waiter, in the beginning, was very understanding of our time to make a decision on food. But oddly enough when we were ready to order he kept on dismissing us. Basically had to hail him down. I don't know what that was about but it was undoubtedly rude.
Food came so fast that there was more tine to kill than anticipated. We had Apps; main and dessert. Will DEFINITELY go again, especially if time is of the essence.
Excellent food and service. Very loud during prime dinner hours so keep that in mind if you’re looking for something more intimate.
We’ve been to this particular Serafina many times. It’s an easy stop before or after theatre and reliably good. Our last visit wasn’t spectacular. Service was just okay, and food was not nearly as good as usual. Not bad, just not great. Hoping it was just an off day and not a decline.
We were very pleased with our meal and the service was wonderful. The location convenient to the broadway show we were seeing. We would return again.
this was a pre-theatre meal. Service was excellent, food was good and as described, ambience was lively and fun. I was with my 19 year old daughter who was very comfortable and enjoyed the experience.
Service was excellent and food was amazing!! Would definitely return...:)
This was the second time we were here. Food was served promptly and the fettuccine and bruschetta were delicious!
Food was excellent. Wonderful salads and ultra thin crust pizza.
Our waitress was great and the food was delicious !
Broad menu options, great for a group! Friendly service
Sadonna was our server and this was no the first time we were blessed with her service. Sedonna was very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. She checked on us regularly. The other team members were also friendly and helpful. We are big fans of Serafina and often dine in other locations as well. We are always confident of a great dining experience!
First time at Serafina.Very impressed with food selections.Nice place for pre theater dinner.Loved it.Thanks.
We chose Serafina for it's good reviews and proximity to the Eugene O'Neill Theater (next door). It did not disappoint. The food was excellent, service quick and the drinks were outstanding. The price value was very good for NYC. My only suggestion is they get another bathroom for patrons, there is only one unisex bathroom with a code they give you. We were told there is another bathroom on the floor above in the hotel but that isn't generally known.
I know it’s a tourist haunt, but making an effort is always appreciated. Very aloof waiter with an attitude was really annoying on a steamy day in the city. Take note.
Came here for brunch on a Saturday. I ordered the turkey sandwich. It wasn’t roast turkey, it was deli turkey that tasted like it came from a package at the supermarket. About 8 fries came with the sandwich and on top of the fries was a mix of soggy greens. Why would you put greens on top of fries? The “bread basket” of you can call it that- came with two stale, tasteless croissants and plain muffin. Couldn’t stomach more than a 1/4 of each, sad item.
My friend and I would never go again and we won’t be recommending this place to anyone.
Minestrone soup was delicious and fresh. Caprese salad and the steak were adequate but nothing to write home about. The tiramisu and cappuccinos were very good. It was expensive for the quality and portion size even for Manhattan. The interior was nice but it was extremely loud. I didn't both talking to my husband across the table much as I knew he wouldn't be able to hear me. I can't say I wouldn't go back but I'd try a different restaurant in the area first. Enjoyed my meal at Cielo at the Mayfair the previous night much more.
Food was good- my fish was not fishy and very tasty. Did not prefer the potatoes that came with it but I ate them. Carpaccio with truffle was good but again didn’t care for the potatoes- they tasted boiled. My boyfriend enjoyed his pasta with truffle sauce. Strawberry basil margarita was delicious. Regret not trying the pizza. Overall worked out perfectly for us before seeing a Bronx tale.
Unremarkable and expensive for the service and quality of food.
We are regulars at Serafina on 61st b/w Park and Madison but were going to Hamilton, so tried this location for it's convenience to Richard Rogers Theater. It's good and the menu is the same. Service was attentive and prompt. My only suggestion is that all of the restaurants need a dessert menu makeover. NUTS NUTS NUTS are in almost every dessert menu item and this is a bummer if you go for a special occasion. It is not very sensitive or modern to ignore that MANY people have food allergies, especially to nuts! Try the profiteroles with a regular chocolate sauce, not Nutella which we all know has hazelnuts. Give your customers- even the nut allergic customers a chance to celebrate! Overall we love Serafina but I am disappointed to see that over the years this menu issue has not been addressed.
Great for diners looking to grab a good meal before a show in the Theater District. You almost forget you're in Midtown.
My friend & I had dinner before the show& we loved it. Waiter & service was wonderful
Food, as always, was excellent. My wife always recommends the pasta and shrimp. I love the salmon. Our waitress was very friendly and helped with a wine recommendation that was spot on. Fun place to eat, especially before theater. It does get a bit noisy when full.
Tables too close together. Overall noise level was Too noisy for dinner.
The food & service was great. It was alittle noisy at the bar area. We had a play & they made sure we got out on time.
Très ordinaire pour le prix . Je n’y retournerais pas. Sushi sans plus comme on en retrouve au sushi shop. Par contre très frais. Bruyant .
We were the only table in the restaurant and we still waited 15 mins for water and our drinks. Our waiter never returned to the table to check on us. We never received any refills or were asked if we wanted anything else. I will not return to that restaurant. The manager did give us two mimosas on the house for the issues and those mimosas were all orange juice.
Went here for my father in laws birthday before a show. It is right off Times Square and perfect location for the Eugene O’Niel theatre before a show. Highly recommend. Quick food service as well with a friendly staff. Portions worth the amount per dish.
They seated us at a lousy table in spite of the fact that I had a reservation and the place was half empty when we got there.. Moved us once before were seated, and the next option wasn’t much better. It was clear, the hostess was not going to be helpful and my teen daughter was embarrassed, so I don’t push it. Never going back.
