Our go-to pre-theater restaurant. Always good good and fast service.
Spending the day in NYC we were looking for a great place to eat and Serafina was a perfect choice. The food was amazing we got in there before it was busy.
Music was too loud. The dark decor felt more seedy than chic. The pizza was good but not stellar. Considering the price point, not worth it.
I had a pretty good experience at Serafina. My one complaint was my date and I were seated and our order was placed, while waiting a family of five was seated beside us. Two adults and three toddlers. They were given bread, which I wasn’t offered, but that wasn’t the down side. I received my appetizer which was calamari (needed more seasoning but not bad at all) and started to dig in. Our waitress went to the table beside us and took their order. About the same time we finished our appetizer the table next to us got their appetizers. Shortly after they got their meals, some time after they received their check. Notice anything??? That’s right I still hadn’t received my meal!! I didn’t make a fuss however, I did cut my eyes to their empty plates and seats when the waitress dropped our food off. Just wanted to share that story. Everything else was cool.
Great spot to eat following a show in the city.. kid friendly and great food options
Quiet and good location
The food was excellent and the service was quick and fantastic
Great pre-theater. Good Italian and good service. Very close to theaters located in the 50s so very convenient.
Awful service, was ignored by the staff and the place was empty.
Food was mediocre, but proximity to theater was excellent. Wouldn’t go back.
Great food. Great service. Very very reasonably priced for the location
Nice overall for the price for breakfast. One caveat: the onion was too raw and large for my taste. Complimentary orange juice and coffee were great.
We loved the pasta dishes we ordered- cooked perfectly and with interesting, delicious sauces. We shared a seasonal salad and appetizer and the portions were just right for sharing. The service was attentive but not obtrusive and we did not feel rushed. This was a recommendation from my son who told us he often eats at a Serfina location when visiting NYC because the food is always consistent and enjoyable.
Great place for a meal before the show. Wide selection. Everyone is always happy. Reasonable prices for midtown. Fast service. Our go to place in midtown.
Over priced. Been to a different serafina and wasn’t as expensive with better food.
Pre theater dinner
I was very disappointed with the overall experience. My girlfriend and I were there with FOUR children. No one offered us a children's menu and we only saw that one was available AFTER as we were leaving the restaurant. We struggled to find food for the kids on the main menu and would have VERY much appreciated the option (both financially and choices of meals) to have had that as an option. The meal was much more expensive than it needed to be and we left with a very bad feeling about our experience and quite honestly not as full as we should have been after what we paid for our meal!!!
It was unremarkable. Staff was pleasant but not attentive. Will not return.
Disappointed with the food, had the lemon ricotta pancakes and they were dry on top and partially cooked in the middle. Coffee was very strong ( and I love strong) almost too strong...... Hostess was nice, server was silent and the waiter disappeared......👎
Courteous and attentive service. Food was delicious and presentation beautiful. Very accommodating to people with food allergies.
The perschutto was amazing; good enough to come back for.
The filet mignon? I don't think that was a filet at all, it tasted and felt like a piece of cheaper meat that had been tenderized, not the amazing signature buttery consistently of a real filet; tasted like a thick cut of flap steak, the jus was way way over seasoned - something you do to a cheap cut of meat. They didn't have potatoes so I got grilled...Sweet potatoes and zucchini... With a steak, and nothing else. Somewhere a chef is crying.
The service however was outstanding.
It was nice
Waitress was rude, unfriendly and couldn’t get a simple order right.
Excellent!!! The best Filet Mignon ever. We both enjoyed our dinners & looking forward to going back very soon.
Got sick as a dog after eating. Still not well.
We had an amazing experience
The food was great , service on point , and the manager ( Dusica) went out of her way to make us feel good . Very grateful for that
We went before seeing a show. The staff was very accommodating and changed our table when we saw another table opened. The food was outstanding and one of my friends is vegan and has been able to find selections to eat here as well.
Great food and service as always! Serafina is my go to when in the city! Brunch was great!
Had a quick dinner before a show. Considering it was NYC I found the pricing to be pretty moderate. Food was good - ravioli was excellent! Would definitely return...
The food was delicious. Our service was great, the wait staff was very attentive and friendly.
The food was only OK, the ambiance was ok, the seating is so close together/tight but luckily the diners next to us were a lot of fun, they kinda made the experience great, definitely not the food, it was mediocre.
Great location in the theater district. Warm, welcoming and friendly. We arrived 1/2 hour early - no problem. We were seated at our table, had a glass of wine, and weren't rushed. Food was both beautifully presented and delicious; again, we weren't rushed - we could take our time over each course. Our server was considerate and gave good recommendations. I was delighted that they have soy milk available for their coffee drinks; I'm lactose intolerant and most restaurants don't have a non-dairy option. Only downside - it is noisy. But, we'll definitely return.
Ordered special steak. Was over-cooked and very expensive. felt like a cheap hotel dining. Other Serafina's have proven to be a much better experience. Stick with the pasta (safer).
Staff was friendly and very nice
Food was just ok... didn’t appreciate the automatic 20% gratuity charge. Pretty sure it’s illegal to do that in NYC.
Great selections of salads and pastas and each one we tried was excellent. The service was attentive and prompt, especially when eating before a show.
Overall very good spot for pre-theater dining. Pasta dishes were delish, portions were generous. Family-friendly and buzzing with conversations so not sure I’d recommend for a quiet date. It took awhile for our waiter to come by and take our drink order. We opted to order everything at once and then drinks and food came at a good clip.
Overall it was just ok. I expected it to be better but maybe I would have liked it better if I tried a pasta dish. Got the filet mignon burger and not convimced it was actualy filet mignon.
New Year celebration
Delicious authentic full flavoured fresh Italian food and service was excellent. Super fast for NYE. Decorated the place very well and really made it special. Waiting staff were brilliant
Excellent service and delicious food. A little heavy on the cheese for me, but most people love that.
