We are celebrating and had a very nice table with a view. Our favorite family of waiters ( Robert, Frank, and Frankie) treated us beyond measure. The cherry on top was not just the food and ambiance. We completely enjoyed hearing W.T. Watts III on piano. His voice made our night. I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Apparently they took 120 reservations at the last minute because of a canceled banquet dinner which translated into a miserable experience for our Anniversary Dinner. The service lacked, the steaks were under seasoned and over cooked. But really almost worst of all the music was very loud and maybe I'm expecting too much but people should not be at a nice steak place in athletic shorts and flip-flops. Surely some sort of dress code could be followed. Maybe it was not the norm, but I won't be back any time soon.
Nice location and scenery. Dinner, was delicious. Assigned waiter was “Horrible “ his demeanor and lack of basic attentiveness would receive a grade “F”.
the ambiance was wonderful. the piano bar was inviting and pleasant. the views are beautiful from the 27th floor. the food is grossly overpriced but consistent with the other overprice offerings of the Hilton hotel. glad i experienced it but no need to return.
Birthday. Will return for birthday desserts
Hostess said I had no reservation. Showed her the email confirmation. Said she would correct it. Received an email while dining from Open Table stating we did not arrive for the reservation.
Advised waitress we were celebrating my sons birthday.
She stood there for over 4 minutes going over the menu. Kept hounding us to order. Literally stood over our backs while we were dining. Wanting to take plates before we were finished. Overall annoying. Brought desert menus, came back to take desert order. I was hoping there would be some sort of birthday surprise for my son. Nothing so I had to ask her, in front of my son, will they bring him something to celebrate his birthday. She said they usually don’t do that but would ask. She brought a slice of cake with a candle and began to go over the desert menu. All we wanted to do was sing happy birthday to my son before the candle melted out. Less than 1/4 of the candle left, I had to ask her to walk away so we could sing before the candle burned out. She brought the check, handed it to my son!! I took it, placed it in front of me while we visited. She came back and attempted to take it before I had even completed the transaction. Just rush rush rush. Oh. I ordered coffee with heavy cream. She brought coffee with whip cream sprayed on top of the coffee.
Just over all a bad experience. Family with kids were there and the kids were literally running around screaming and yelling and their dad was running around with them. No consideration for the other guests. May as well have been at a Chucky Cheese. Yes, they were that loud.
Before you consider me a jerk for writing all this, that annoying waitress got a $100 tip from our table of 3.
Outstanding in every way. Our server was the greatest - the chef prepared s special dessert for our occasion. I’d give it ten stars though f I could.
My server Javier was super amazing and super friendly. I brought my mom with me and he answered all of her questions throughly. We will definitely come back the next time she’s in town.
Beautiful restaurant with excellent steaks! Great view of the city made for a perfect birthday dinner. Pricing is high, but it was a perfect steak and gorgeous view!
we waited 2 hours to receive our food. Staff tried to compensate us with more wine and nice bourbon which we did not want or request seconds on. One staff member offered at least 1/2 off of our final bill but when we received it they did not make any adjustments. At the time food was served, several steak dinners were very over- seasoned and not eaten. Sending it back to kitchen was not an option as the wait already ruined what was to be a lovely dining experience for our family. Would not recommend.
We went for Fourth of July to be able to see fireworks from above. There was a great vibe and all the diners were happy to be there and excited to see fireworks. I'm not sure if it was because of the crowd, but our service was slow. It took close to a half hour to get the wine, and about 45 minutes to get bread. Once the food came out, it was fine, but I thought the timing was off on the early part of the meal.
D Magazine raved about your baked potato. And that's why we chose SER. Sadly, you no longer offer a baked potato.
Good Steak and accompaniments! The service was average, but the check-in process at the front podium was unnecessarily slow. Bar was also slow. Choice of steaks was excellent and side dishes are worth ordering and sharing. Appetizers menu is very weak, but salads make up for the deficiency. For the price point the front of the house needs to step up to the level of the kitchen!
The service was absolutely outstanding!!! From the time we walked in the door until the time that we left, every staff member gave excellent service!!
My wife and I went there for our anniversary. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. The view was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
What a complete experience all around. Tabitha was a truely professional server that made knowledge based suggestions rather than going straight for the up sell. The menu was explained in detail and all of our questions were answered without an Um or let me check. The chef made a table visit to explain a unique pairing, and it was by far the best thing we had all night. Food was perfect, I cant rave enough about the asiago bread and truffle butter...
For a night alone without kids, we don't feel we could have chosen a better place and we will be back to continue the journey through their menu.
We had a tremendous experience! The chef and service staff treated us like family. The food was excellent both in taste and presentation. Memorable experience! Thank you!!
We went for an early dinner to enjoy the view of Dallas and ended up enjoying a remarkable dinner. Even the simplest of starters, an iceberg lettuce salad, was elevated and exceptional. Our entrees were the 16oz Center Cut Pork Chop and the half chicken. Again, seemingly pedestrian yet anything but. They were perfectly prepared and exceptionally flavored. Treat yourself and go.
The view of downtown Dallas was absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious and the service was great! Very quiet and romantic atmosphere.
I took my parents for their 55th wedding anniversary. The food was outstanding, as was the service. The 360 degree views of the city were an added plus. I have already recommended the restaurant to several friends. We will definitely be back.
It is a perfect place for a special celebration.
Second time at Ser and have enjoyed it both times. Steaks are excellent and it has a nice atmosphere with great views of Dallas. Server was knowledgable about wine selections and courses. Only niggle was the bartenders at the bar were not going to win any friendly awards.
The food was good but the steak could’ve been warmer.
Waiter was very knowledgeable and offered excellent recommendations. The view was incredible and the perfect setting for a lovely dinner.
We were celebrating a high school graduation. Our servers were both named Frank. Both were excellent. They provided a surprise dessert for the graduate. They personally congratulated her on her accomplishment and wished her success for her future. We had out of state guests in attendance and they were delighted at the service and the quality of food. It should also be noted that we arrived early before the first seating, but the manager said if we were there then they were open. We were willing to wait in the bar, but they insisted on seating us by a window. As the only male with five females, the females were definitely impressed. Great job!!!
My dining experience was absolutely delightful! The staff was very attentive , helpful and the food was delicious
Great service and great food, with a couple of unique items on the menu. If you decide to order the seafood tower, beware...it's HUGE. It is easily an appetizer that can be shared with 4-6 people, so if you only have 2 people, I wouldn't recommend it. They have a special frozen desert that they used to serve many years ago when it was Nana Grill, which is amazing. This was my first trip back to eat there in almost 25 years, but the place is just as nice and elegant as always. Great views of Big D and great food to add. While it's higher priced than many places, it's not any higher than other steakhouses. I checked menu prices against another, popular chain steakhouse in Dallas (that is very good also) and the prices were almost identical. Relax and enjoy!
We had a wonderful view of the Dallas skyline for dinner and were treated like royalty. Amazing food and service as we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. Would definitely recommend
Our server was amazing, we have been oh coming to SER for a long time and he is one of the best servers we have ever had. It’s nice that since the hotel has become a resort property that SER has happily served kids now with a kids menu and special treat!
Waiter was great, we had a great dinner experience. We have been here about 5 times 2/5 the food was terrible, this time we hit it right and everything was great!
Great place! Antonio and all the staff were great!!
Food is good but overpriced for what you get.
My husband and I are regulars at SER. The ambiance and views are amazing as well as the staff. Hostesses are a bit stuffy at times. Usually the food is always on point, but the crab cakes on this visit were full of breading with no crab meat in sight.
Great food, as always. Asked for a window table with a view and it was no problem for them. Great waiter, staff was very attentive and interested in our modern family, with my daughter's 6'7" SMU Polish Swimmer Graduate. Great view of downtown. Awesome duck, yummy bread, fun desserts. Best place if you want a great view and great food.
Everything was perfect !
This isva great place with an outstanding view of Dallas Skyline. Romantic ambiance and a great piano player.
Went on a Monday evening and the place was fully staffed, from hostess to the guy pouring water everyone was exceptionally nice. The Waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, made suggestions and was available without being annoying.
The food courses came out timely and were cooked as requested. The tastes were very good. I had a bone in rib eye, and my date had the Elk. Amazing. The sides were outstanding as well.
This is first class steak house and if in Dallas, its a must.
The service was very good, attentive and helpful. Two of us had steaks that were at the perfect temperature. My wife had the seafood special and was very pleased. Oh, and my martini was exactly to my specifications.
Fantastic Mother’s Day buffet! Prime Rib, Sea Bass, Shrimp, Crab Claws, and too many wonderful things to include here. Nice touch with the gentleman on the piano for this special day.
The host and waiter assistants were very friendly and accommodating. The view was amazing. Our waiter kept forgetting about us and forgot 5 things we asked for during our experience and it was very frustrating. He also never asked if we were celebrating anything, which we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We drove an hour to celebrate at SER and the experience overall was not worth the expense.
