SER Steak+Spirits Ratings and Reviews
In comparison with other restaurants in the same category, we were not impressed. The service was slow, one part of our meal was not brought and we were charged for it. The food was fairly bland. When I was looking thru the wine list the waiter came over and directed me to the section offering wine by the glass as if I should not be looking to purchase a bottle. Ordered the chocolate ball and it came broken. Took away from the wow factor of introducing something new to a dear friend. Waiter made it seem as that is the way it was supposed to come.
I am a Team Member, and I was there for Thanksgiving. I emailed the restaurant to ask if the TM F&B program applied to the restaurant. I got a reply back from Magdy and was told "Yes"! I also replied back to his email and told him I had a reservations for Thanksgiving and wanted to know if the TM F&B applied on that day also. Magdy never responded. I also spoke with someone from the restaurant to confirm my reservation, and again I told her I was a TM and mentioned the TM F&B program. She said that she would make a note on my reservation to let the server know that I was a TM. I was told once I got there that I was not able to use the TM F&B program by Magdy. This made my experience horrible. I wasn't happy. I was just told NO! by Magdy. I myself work in hospitality, and felt Magdy should have offered another solution. All he said was that you were not specific in your email, and walked off. Magdy just failed to respond to my second email. The front desk also told me that I should've been able to use the TM F&B discount, but they were not aware that it didnt apply on Thanksgiving Day. Jasmine at the front desk was kind enough to offer 50.00 F&B to my bill, which made me feel a little better. I think that you should make all of your employees from the restaurant to the front desk aware of the rules of the TM F&B program. I really felt misled. I have been with Hilton for 22yrs and have never been so disappointed. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and was not able to prepare dinner this year for my family due to my illness, and thought it would be a good idea to come to your restaurant. Needless to say it wasn't a great experience.
The food and service at SER was unbelievable. The restaurant is on the 27th floor with amazing views of the city. Would highly recommend for special occasions or an evening out for a delicious steak. Cannot thank the staff for their attention to detail. Impressive.
The set up and views were amazing. The atmosphere was also great for a romantic dinner. The service was exceptional as well. The food was not even sub par. The best way to describe the steak smoked paper. My date ordered scallops that were over cooked, and also over seasoned. She switched to the crab cakes and they were just as bad. We had macaroni that was also awful. This restaurant was perfect minus the food. So if you’d like lovely views this is the place to be. If you want great food I’d suggest another place.
We dined at SER for the first time to celebrate our twelfth wedding anniversary. We found SER to be a very classy restaurant! The food was phenomenal and the service top notch. We enjoyed the view of downtown Dallas and the live music while we ate. We highly recommend SER to those looking for a remarkable and memorable dining experience.
We spent our 26th anniversary at SER. Robert, our server, was awesome. There was a full moon-rise that night, and we requested and got a seat by the window. It did not disappoint! I ordered the ribeye, and was rather disappointed that it was slightly above average. For the price, I was expecting more flavor and juiciness. The piano player was very good, but a bit loud for the space. I would go back, but not in any hurry.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary last night at SER. He proposed to me there, so we thought it would be a wonderful evening. I informed the restaurant of the occasion when I made the reservation so we were expecting that they would acknowledge it in some. Even if it was a simple happy anniversary from the waiter. It was not acknowledged at all. In addition, I ordered my filet medium and it came out with charred edges. The steak had no seasoning and was downright bad. My husband ordered the New York strip and it had so much fat on it that he actually had to spit it out. The mashed potatoes were floating in pile and we would have needed a spoon to eat them. I will say the macaroni and cheese was good. Needless to say, we won't be going back to SER. There are so many phenomenal steak houses in DFW, don't waste your money on this one.
We were in town for a business conference staying in the hotel and decided to treat ourselves to a good steak and seafood meal. We had checked out SER online before we arrived and made reservations, we were a tad early, but seated immediately. "Robbie" was very attentive and made sure we had excellent service and even noticed that there didn't seem to be any lobster in our lobster mac'n cheese, but took care of that immediately. The food was excellent, we were very pleased with our dinner. There was live music, and although our particular view was not outstanding, it was definitely a great place for a special occasion. The price might be a bit more than some would like to spend, but well worth the investment!
When we arrived the hostess could not find our reservation. When I informed them I used OpenTable they still could not locate it. The manager quickly found us an open table with a nice view of downtown - had a nice evening.
