SER Steak+Spirits Ratings and Reviews
My fiancé and I came here for dinner on a Friday night. We were promptly sat in front of a window with a beautiful view of Dallas. He had a few different cocktails - they have a list of old fashioned's with a twist (different bourbons, scotch etc), I had a few glasses of wine from their wonderfully extensive selection. We started with the raw oysters, which were delicious and fresh. He had the 14 oz ribeye and devoured every bite. I had the sea bass - which was incredible. Highly recommend. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our server, Frank, was extremely knowledgeable and kind. He is an awesome guy and made our already incredible dining experience one that we will remember. We will definitely be coming back to Ser!
We truly enjoyed our experience at Ser. And that's what it was, an experience. Whenever you can say that about a dinner and it becomes a lasting memory, it goes beyond a simple meal and becomes an experience.Everything was exceptional, from the cocktails to the food to the service. The ambience is wonderful, and the view of downtown Dallas is simply spectacular. Highly recommended for anyone in the Dallas area!
Overall the place fantastic. Great food, service, view, and ambiance. Perfect for a romantic dinner or higher-end business gathering. I was only disappointed in the steaks - they were cooked with a charred/black outside, which I personally think takes away from the flavor of the meat. I don't know if this was a mistake on our meals or if they do this for all of them.
Beautiful restaurant. Good table. Great view. Outstanding service from "Richard". The food was good, but not great. Scallops were amazing, but not much else was exciting. Way too much filler designed to hold costs down, but not to excite customers to come back.....four different containers of pasta??? Seriously?? Needed more bang for the buck.
My family dined here on Christmas day. I had hyped the restaurant and experience up to a guest that was joining us for the Christmas buffet as I had dined here last year on Christmas and it was so great that I decided to make it a tradition. It was a short lived tradition. Aside from the fact that they sat us in the very back, the food in general was NOT good. There was very little flavor in anything and some of the items were lukewarm. I went to the 12:15 seating and the food looked like it has been sitting out for a while. It honestly tasted like "hotel" food which is not what I expect of SER, especially for the price. After we left we stopped and picked something up to eat on the way home. Very disappointed. I will not be back.
I was a little disappointed with our reservation. It was my birthday as noted in the open table booking, but it wasn't acknowledged at all. I know some restaurants don't offer any greetings or dessert for special occasions, so I brushed it off until the table across from us was treated to a candle lit dessert for a birthday celebration. I had to tell the waiter who later comped the dessert of my choice, but it kinda ruined the expected moment. Also, while the food was delicious, it was served lukewarm like it had been sitting at the prep station for some time. We went for the high rated view and were seated next to a wall. It just didn't meet my expectations at all.
A wonderful experience dining in a upscale romantic venue with a nice view. Both the food & service were impeccable. Great selection of top notch steaks with a decent selection of sides for vegetarian patrons, but not recommend for vegans. Pricey but well worth the cost considering the quality & wonderful service & nice atmosphere.
Made my reservation a month in advance. Requested a table for 4 by the window. Called the week of and confirmed my requested. Arrived and we were seated as far from the window as possible. Then the waiter charged me twice for dinner and tip which caused Chase to freeze my acct for possible fraudulent activity. Overall, the food and wine were good . However, their refusal to honor my seating request and the issues with my account really left a bad impression. After several calls to chase and reatruarant and my issues still are not resolved.
In comparison with other restaurants in the same category, we were not impressed. The service was slow, one part of our meal was not brought and we were charged for it. The food was fairly bland. When I was looking thru the wine list the waiter came over and directed me to the section offering wine by the glass as if I should not be looking to purchase a bottle. Ordered the chocolate ball and it came broken. Took away from the wow factor of introducing something new to a dear friend. Waiter made it seem as that is the way it was supposed to come.
I am a Team Member, and I was there for Thanksgiving. I emailed the restaurant to ask if the TM F&B program applied to the restaurant. I got a reply back from Magdy and was told "Yes"! I also replied back to his email and told him I had a reservations for Thanksgiving and wanted to know if the TM F&B applied on that day also. Magdy never responded. I also spoke with someone from the restaurant to confirm my reservation, and again I told her I was a TM and mentioned the TM F&B program. She said that she would make a note on my reservation to let the server know that I was a TM. I was told once I got there that I was not able to use the TM F&B program by Magdy. This made my experience horrible. I wasn't happy. I was just told NO! by Magdy. I myself work in hospitality, and felt Magdy should have offered another solution. All he said was that you were not specific in your email, and walked off. Magdy just failed to respond to my second email. The front desk also told me that I should've been able to use the TM F&B discount, but they were not aware that it didnt apply on Thanksgiving Day. Jasmine at the front desk was kind enough to offer 50.00 F&B to my bill, which made me feel a little better. I think that you should make all of your employees from the restaurant to the front desk aware of the rules of the TM F&B program. I really felt misled. I have been with Hilton for 22yrs and have never been so disappointed. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and was not able to prepare dinner this year for my family due to my illness, and thought it would be a good idea to come to your restaurant. Needless to say it wasn't a great experience.
The food and service at SER was unbelievable. The restaurant is on the 27th floor with amazing views of the city. Would highly recommend for special occasions or an evening out for a delicious steak. Cannot thank the staff for their attention to detail. Impressive.
