Excellent; all courses near perfection and the service was impeccable. The view was as lovely as described and the evening was a complete success.
Food and atmosphere were great
A very unexpected, very pleasant experience. Attentive and knowledgeable service with good food with a very nice atmosphere. Recommended, especially if staying at the Anatole. Seafood selections were well prepared with good selection.
View was amazing
The restaurant was full Saturday night, but at one point, music started blaring from what I think was the kitchen. It went on for a few minutes before it was turned down, or off.
The only other thing that we noticed was the sides had changed since our last visit. Please put mushrooms back on the menu!
It was great. We sat with a great view of downtown Dallas. Our waiter was helpful and informative. Everything was declined. Highly recommend!
Celebrating our anniversary and daughter's successful presentation. Food and service could not have been any better. True professionals in every position. The view and ambiance was also very good. I would highly recommend.
Who would have thought that at an upscale steakhouse you had to ask if they have a chef working. They didn’t! And it was reflected in all of the food. EXTREMELY disappointing. It’s a steakhouse - get the temperatures right on a steak. They didn’t. Mine was wrong, husband’s was wrong, appetizer was wrong. Appetizer, lamb meatballs, came out raw - cold and raw in the middle. The refire came back burnt. Only saving grace our night - the bartenders. They were awesome. Terrible birthday experience. Waste of money.
AMAZING. went for my gf’s 20th birthday. service was excellent. everyone was very nice there, constantly asked if we were okay. they were really kind!
Great view. Nice people. We all ordered the lobster roll and while it was good, it was pretty small for the price.
I really wanted to like this place, but the food isn't anywhere near the level it needs to be. The location and ambiance are excellent, the service is a bit slow, but that's conducive to business discussions over a meal. I can't get over how flavorless the steaks were, and the seafood left a lot to be desired as well. I'm relatively certain I have had a better tasting meal at Outback steakhouse...not that I would take clients there. As it turns out, I won't be taking clients to SER, either. Very disappointed.
Our prior two times dining here were excellent, but our most recent was disappointing. My husband ordered the lamb, but it was simply layers of fat with little meat. The management did replace it with a nice filet and did not charge him for either entree as an apology. An appropriate gesture. My medium steak, a nice filet also, had to be sent back twice as it came with a red center both times. The third time the kitchen sent a much thinner steak but cooked appropriately.
We were seated near a couple large tables with what appeared to be a group of conference attendees talking loudly, so the ambiance was not as classy and quiet as on previous visits. That, of course, is no reflection on management.
Service was generally attentive although a bit rushed.
Wonderful views and impeccable service!
By far the best steak I’ve had in a long time and the potatoes by far the best!!
We went for our anniversary & we went at 6pm due to plans later that night, we were sat next to two families with kids that cried the entire night, our server rushed us to decide on drinks when we had never been there before, he rushed us when we were looking at food & only recommended the highest price entrees. I don’t mind paying a lot for good quality food, but just because it’s more expensive doesn’t mean it’s any better than something cheaper, was just annoying to me. The food came out super fast, & it was all good, not great. The manager came by & spoke with us got us a random dessert & wished us happy anniversary, that was nice. Overall I’d recommend the restaurant if someone is staying in the hotel,
I don’t know if I’d choose to go there just for a date night if we weren’t staying in the hotel. Oh the view was pretty but since we went at 6pm it was still very bright out so maybe 8pm would be a better time for the view.
Can’t beat Allen’s steaks. Lighting was a little bright for the atmosphere and they tried to lower to no success. Javier was great.
This was my first time at SER and I would definitely recommend it. The views from the restaurant at the top of the Hilton Anatole are sheer beauty, especially at night, which creates a great ambiance. Food came out quick, was delicious, and worth the price.
In town for Eric Clapton Guitar Festival.
The view, the service and the food was Amazing! Highly Recommend.
Delicious! Quick service!
Very loud and noisy atmosphere. We sat at a table near the window and the view was beautiful but we were constantly interrupted by people taking pictures next to the table. Also it took forever to get the bill and pay. Other than that, the food was amazing!!
Food and service were great. Menu is a bit limited, could use a few more options.
What an AMAZING date night for myself and my husband. They got us sat with a wonderful view and our service was outstanding!!
The food was spectacular!!!
We were on a staycation in Dallas and wanted a great steak place. Ser delivered a dining experience from the friendly hostess all the way through to our valet. We savored our courses enveloped in soft jazz and city views. We will be back! 🏆
Food, views, and service incredible. Frank was an attentive and knowledgeable server. Only slight down side is dress code was not enforced, so there were people in shorts and T-shirts for a Friday night dinner.
I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance and in the notes I requested a table by the window to see the fireworks display. I called 2 days before and left a message asking about the request. I called the day of my reservation and got to talk to the hostess. She told me that she saw the note and at 8:00 it shouldn’t be an issue to get the table I requested. When we showed up at 8:00 she took us to the other side of the restaurant and didn’t even mention that they couldn’t accommodate. It’s the ONLY reason we were there. Never said anything about a wait list or first come first serve. What’s the point of a reservation then?? We had a baby 6 months ago and haven’t had a night out alone. I made the reservation well in advance. I followed up twice. We spent $320 and didn’t even finish our steaks because there was zero flavor in them. It took 25 minutes of waiting for a server before I got up to ask the hostess who was working with us. I am not a complainer and always make the best out of any situation, but I need to draw the line here. The Anatole primarily gets visited by tourists and probably never sees repeat business. This is a poor representation of a Dallas steak house. The manager did let my wife borrow a shawl because the A/C was blowing directly on her and the server was very nice. Actually even though the hostesses didn’t communicate effectively they were still nice. I guess the main issue is that I paid too much for this tourist trap and expected more from a Dallas “staple”. Definitely won’t be coming back on any mommy daddy nights.
We had an unfortunate experience tonight. We had reservations and were immediately sat at a table. However, we then sat and waited and waited and waited.... finally, a manager stopped by and took our order. The food came really quick and then that was the last we saw of the wait staff. We had to flag someone down to report an overcooked steak and ask for water refills. Paying over $200 for 4 meals, I would expect better service. :/
We went for our wedding anniversary.
-The food was good, not great. I guess we were expecting better for the price paid.
-Service was also good, not great. It felt like the server was absent a little longer than expected, quite a few times. He was pushing menu items rather than suggesting. It was obvious he was trying too hard to up his tip with high-value items vs earning it by providing a better personalized/caring service, which we've had at many way cheaper chain restaurants.
-The ambiance was awesome. A couple even proposed right next to us as we were finishing our dinner.
-The value of the experience wasn't too far from what was expected, just the food wasn't all we expected for the price (it was decent) and the service could have been a little better, more real.
We were disappointed with the experience and food for the expense. For $400 for two people we expect to be blown away. This was not the case. The server was polite but did not give any info regarding the food other then vague details readily available on the menu.
We order the cheese board which was left at our table without any description of the items on the plate which in my experience is usually done. The tomahawk
Was very good however the lobster tail was dry and cold. The potatoes were incredibly bland. The hen mushrooms were delicious . Dessert was the molten cake which was decent but nothing special. We have spent half that at Bobs and had superior food and experience. We will not be returning .
Food and ambience and view were amazing. Waiter was a little abrupt and inattentive but overall everything was great
Anniversary dinner, special evening with view at window table. Waygu filet delicious! Restaurant treated us to special dessert to end the evening.
My BF and I had not been here recently especially since it changed to SER from Nana. We were celebrating his birthday. Impressed with the high levels of accountability and service standards of bar tending and wait staff. We had filets and they were Incredible. Mac and cheese is amazing. American wagyu didn’t compare with the rap thing or the regular filet so don’t waste your money. Desserts are delicious and portions are great.
Incredible view and interior ambiance. Steaks, SER salad, and whipped potatoes were delicious. Great wine selection and live piano entertainment made the atmosphere fun. Our server Frank was awesome. Will be back!
Outstanding service from start to finish! The food was delicious and satisfying. Will definitely return.
Ambiance was spectacular, service was phenomenal, the drinks we amazing. I was disappointed by the ribeye. I ordered it med rare which they did get correct, but the flavor was bland and had a burnt charcoal taste to it. The one food item that was amazing was the baked macaroni, it was the best macaroni I’ve ever had. Our other side was the poutine, which I do not recommend.
The food is as delicious as the view and the staff could not be more wonderful
I recommend the Colorado lamb and baked macaroni
What a wonderful experience! The food was amazing! We enjoyed a beautiful view of the city.
We were seated near the kitchen and could hear the employees calling out orders all evening. It was distracting. the lights from the kitchen also put a horrible glare on the glass so all we could see was the reflection of the kitchen in the window.
A beautiful restaurant, incredible views of Dallas, wonderful ambience, delightful piano music. We chose this for the Restaurant Week meal. Superb food, wonderful, personable waitstaff and marvelous manager. We will return. Perfect for many occasions!
