It was magical! Upon arrival my boyfriend and I felt like royalty. Everyone was extremely personable and professional. We were extremely impressed with the brunch and service. Loved every second of it!
Had a great time! The sparkler candle made the Birthday desert that much better for my girlfriend ( she loved it!). We will definitely be back...soon!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
our server Julia was very nice & attentive.
It was a great birthday brunch.
Went here for Saturday brunch. Highly recommend and worth the price!! Only $40
The food was incredible and the service / staff were top notch. The staff was always attentive and near by in case you needed something. The ambience was beautiful and the scenery of the boardwalk / waterfront was definitely worth the dining experience. Would definitely recommend and come back again. Thank you!
The best Sunday brunch ever. A little Pricey but worth every penny. I live in philly Whenever I’m in the DC area I go here for brunch. It sits right on the waterfront which makes it even nicer. I strongly recommend reservations and to park in the easy pay lot which is $13.95 flat rate versus parking in the waterfront lot which charges by the hour!!!
This was a great experience! Happy to see the new renovations! Great food options!
This experience was amazing. Our waitress Cierra was one of the best I have ever had. We were seated immediately, the food was delicious and came out on time, plus the atmosphere was great. The mimosas were strong & the staff always made sure our glasses were full. I will definitely be coming back!
Such a wonderful treat. Food was amazing and the ambience was even better! Beautiful day on the waterfront.
Endless Mimosa’s get me every time! The food is fresh and very tasty, the selection varies but quality does not. Great for occassions too.
It was our daughter’s 15th Birthday.. Food was spectacular.. lots of choices.. ambiance was great.. desserts were awesome.. the milkshakes were a huge hit with the kids..everything was excellent. Dorris and Freddie were very cordial and helpful.. they both provided us with exceptional service. Thank you!!!
Amazing service and great food!
We visited for Sunday brunch a couple weeks ago to celebrate my father's 76th birthday. Due to some construction going on in the parking garage we weren't able to find where the elevator direct access to the restaurant was and my father (who walks with a walker) had to walk very far to get to the restaurant. Once inside our server was great. The area where the food is requires walking up some stairs so my father was unable to get his own food. The manager Chris was great however and did get my father's food for him. I enjoyed all of the food as did my mother, however for someone like my dad (who doesn't drink alcohol and didn't eat much) this may not be the best value. The manager Chris was helpful in making sure that we got my dad to the garage without him having to do all the walking we had to do last time. I would definitely return. I enjoyed the Sunday brunch more than the Saturday brunch (I visited in January) because it was more selection but just realize the issues if you are dining with someone who needs handicap access.
One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in DC, service and food was exceptional!
Awesome service. We were there for my sister's birthday celebration. The waiters and waitress were superb.
Everyone from the hostess to management were nice. The place was beautiful and the seating was awesome, overlooking the water.
The food! Delicious!
We've only ever been here for brunches. Friendly servers, though hosts are slightly less than welcoming. Great buffet spread still, but it definitely seemed larger in our previous visits. Bring your appetite and thirst, or this will be a pretty bad deal; it's priced significantly higher than other DC bottomless brunches. It can also get pretty loud during brunch, but that's not totally out of the ordinary. However, the location on the water, large windows, and high ceilings are a winner for ambiance. Sundays seem to attract sharply-dressed church crowds.
Great experience! Food is consistently good and beverages are excellent!
I have always loved Sequia and I've now turned my boyfriend onto it. Brunch is the Ultimate. If you are celebrating anything, Sequia is where you should go. Chris is great, personable, very easy to talk to and very accommodating.
Very good food. The service was wonderful. We were seated immediately. Group favorites among dishes were the crab meat omelets, oysters, and mac and cheese with egg! Will be brunching here again.
It was much louder than expected, and the servers passing through between tables knocked things off and spilled things multiple times; a girl at another table had crumbs spilled all over her jacket by a server passing through between our table and hers. Our server kept disappearing for long periods of time, and was nowhere to be found. Service was slow and inattentive.
The only redeeming factor was the free desserts for our special occasion.
Good service decent food but not for the price. Take 25% off the tab and you have a winner. Very corporate feel too.
Friendly atmosphere, soup was excellent, service with personalized touch
Will visit again
Sunday Brunch. Outstanding selections. A little noisy . We had to traverse 3 sets of steps to get to the buffet. When the bill was presented we did not know 20% was already added. we added 20% more; Did not realize it until we returned home.
John our outstanding server should be a happy man.
Food was awsome as always and the service is top notch!!! Cant wait to go back!
Upscale. Food mediocre by DC standards. Wait staff friendly.
ABOVE AND BEYOND. Came to Sequoia for my birthday and from start to finish it was incredible. We started at the bar before our reservation and the bartender was excellent. The pomegranate & cranberry mojito he made was on point. Once in the dinning room, the experience only got better. Our server went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests. He provided great guidance through the menu. Service was exceptional, he gave outstanding recommendations and maintained perfect balance of table maintenance and attentiveness without over-servicing. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. I'm personally a seafood lover so this was a great pick, but they also had some nice steak options. Managers were also very present, stopped by our table multiple times throughout the night to make sure I was having a great birthday. They even personally came out with a birthday plate with a spectacular candle to end the night.
Overall, the best service and food I've experienced and my birthday was truly special because of Sequoia. Thank you. We will be back often.
Despite the snowy/icy night, we made it out to Sequoia. It was worth it. Service from top to bottom, beginning to end, was one of the best I've ever experienced. We we're greeted warmly at the front and the host kindly asked if we would like our coats checked. You see coat checks less and less these days so I appreciated the touch. We were seated immediately by the window, next to the view. Our server greeted us and had a nice introduction to the menu. We decided on the tower. WOW!! Best thing ever!! Everything on there was fresh and delicious. Our entrees were excellent as well. I got the cippiono and I was not ashamed to pick up the bowl and down that flavorful broth. Server was always there when we needed him but never intrusive. For dessert I highly recommend the bombolinis, fresh and hot Italian doughnuts that melted in my mouth.
Excellent dinner Sequoia! We will be back.
Great dinner. A bit pricey for the specials but worth a visit
We had a dinner date for two here to celebrate Valentine’s Day (the weekend after). All of the food was delicious! We enjoyed the ceviche as an appetizer, the ribeye and lobster risotto entrees, and the doughnuts for dessert. I wasn’t a big fan of the doughnuts (just personal preference), but my husband loved them. The service was amazing, the servers were polite and very attentive. I enjoyed the light music they played. Overall a great place for a date nights or special occasion!
Saturday brunch was DELICIOUS! The steak and eggs is perfection! Cannot wait to go back on a Sunday.
John was an amazing server for Saturday Brunch and kept the food and drinks coming with no questions asked. Other staff members were also readily available with smiles on their faces and ready to serve us. This is my second time coming to brunch and will continue. Definitely worth the price.
Our waiter was great and so was the greeter. The menu selections were a bit limited.
My girlfriend and I went for Valentine's day. Everything was great!!! Ozzie was our server and provided a fantastic dining experience! Great food, great service, and great drinks.
Food and service were up to expectations but not over the top to earn the full 5 stars. The main issue we had during our meal was the music in the restaurant. Sounds simple enough to plan for the Valentine's pre-fix menu, but that seems to be something that management doesn't consider important. During our Valentine's meal we heard everything from Plain White Tees, Adele, Nickelback, Maroon 5, etc. It was not dinner music and definitely not for for a nice conversation. On top of that we had to ask 3 times to have them just turn the volume down so we didn't have to raise our voices to hear each other. So if you're into that energy for an expensive dinner, great. We just had different expectations for our first experience at this restaurant. Overall rating is a 3 out of 5, one we can check off the list but it'll be hard to go back until we can hang out on the patio in the summer with a few drinks instead.
Awesome..customer service was great and did not wait long at all for food, drinks etc
Very good all around
Went there for Valentines day with my wife. The restaurant wasn't super busy with plenty of empty tables, but the service was poor. Took 20 minutes to get initial drinks and refills on soda let alone alcohol was intermittent. The food was delicious and when they overcooked my wifes steak the manager was happy to replace it. Over all the experience wasnt bad, it just wasn't what we paid for since the meal plus drinks was around 300.00. I have had better experiences there but it was several years ago. This is not what we expected from a place this nice with a reputation as a fine dining establishment.
The service was wonderful and the food lovely overall, but the music selection for the Valentine’s Day dinner was quite lousy. It was too loud to be able to comfortably hear your dinner partner across the table and just bad corny pop music.
Didn't have a great time. A manager called an apologize, he seemed to legitimately care about my experience.
Red Snapper and Filet Mignon have no flavor but service was great!
