After almost 30 years, we are so proud to be one of DC's extraordinary establishments and the Sequoia you know and love. The newly renovated beloved restaurant is located in the Washington Harbour on the Georgetown Waterfront, right along the banks of the Potomac River in Washington, DC. The vast floor-to-ceiling windows offer magnificent views, and our interior design is just as amazing as our surroundings! The entire restaurant is filled with contemporary art featuring Hitoshi Kuriyama's vast neon glass tube light installation along our ceiling and Arne Quinze's grand colorful sculpture called Scarlet in our garden, as well as several other art installations throughout. I took my mom to brunch for her birthday this past Sunday and the food was impeccable. However, it was a bit nosy for my preference. I'm told Saturdays are a bit more low key so I will definitely be back.

I was surprised that the menu on Saturday was different from the Sunday brunch menu. Everything was outstanding. And we had an amazing time. Sequoia is always a great place for brunch or dinner.

The ambiance is key with a view of the Potomac and Kennedy Center. The food was excellent with seafood being the highlight. The seafood pasta and cioppino wear our favorites. Our son enjoyed the filet and daughter the chicken for a success with teenagers.

This dinner was for my birthday and it was exquisite as always. The only thing I would change is add a little more red wine sauce to the braised short rib. The sauce was excellent but not enough causing the rib to become a little dry.

Went to brunch with my Sisters yesterday and everything was wonderful. The service team lead by George and his crew were nothing short of exceptional. The menu was exquisite with a high-energy ambiance. Can’t recommend this place enough for all your DC Brunch needs. I will be going back and this is officially my go-to brunch spot.

First- Open Table MUST warn users when there is a SET menu. I absolutely despise a set menu. Secondly, the $90/person menu that Sequoia presented was incredibly terrible. A microscopic appetizer, a salad/soup (6 out of 10) and a unflavored ribeye that I had to pay an up charge for! Luckily my wife liked her halibut or the night would have been a total loss. Please keep the desert appetizer. That’s my 9000 cents worth.

Sunday was a little loud but it was an exception because it was Super Bowl Sunday. The food was outstanding as usual and Jared our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, drinks, and the entire experience. We'll definitely be back!

We went to brunch for a birthday brunch. Absolutely delicious and an amazing variety of foods all freshly prepared. Definitely worth the money and our waitress kept the mimosas flowing! Needless to say he enjoyed his birthday brunch.

My friend and I ordered the crab cakes and they smelled very fishey. My friend works for NOAA and she and I both told each other we have never had crab cakes that smelled like bad fish. We guess that your filler was with some bad fish. This was my first time there and loved the service, drinks and view but was so disappointed in what was noted as a favorite on the menu.

The was our first time to Sequoia. We had heard good things and were looking forward to our visit. My first impression was the large dining room which felt empty and cold. The staff were polite but distant. A feeling of welcome was missing. I had one of their special cocktails, the Gypsy Eyes, which was delicious and well-balanced. For starters we had the crispy Judith Point calamari was overcooked, rubbery and lacked flavor, and a Caesar salad, which was plain an underdressed. The accompanying crostini were tasty. For entrees we had the Serrano ham layered trout with risotto, and the lobster scampi. The trout was simply wonderful, a nicely balanced dish of creamy, salting, spicy and sweet. I would go back for that dish alone. The lobster scampi was also very good with a large lobster tail and chunks of lobster meat mixed in with the pasta. Overall a mixed bag. We enjoyed a tasty Bouchard Pinot Noir as well. Excellent entrees and drinks, but the rest was off the mark. For $106 per person all included I was didn't meet my expectations.
