The brunch menu was incredibly disappointing. We had a hard time finding anything to eat and what we did get lacked flavor. Service was also incredibly slow. And our waiter never had his mask over his nose and would pull the mask away from his face to talk to us...defeating the purpose.
Reservation was for 1:30. We weren’t seated until about 2. Took our waiter 15 mins to come over and take our orders. We were excited about the bottomless mimosa option only to find out, after we ordered it that last poor is at 3 which is unacceptable considering we didn’t even get our first drink until 2:20-2:30. Food was subpar. Old bay potatoes were bland so was everything ness we ordered. I give 3 stars for the ambiance alone. Love the patio seating but that’s about it.
Took my 86 year old mother for brunch - only felt comfortable because I knew Sequoia had taken all safety precautions. They did. Great brunch.
Wonderful location to celebrate a special occasion.
Food was great, and views of the waterfront were amazing!
I miss the buffet style brunch because the food is fresher and hot when it reaches the table. Other than that, it was tasty.
Sequioa never disappoints, however the waiter I had this time dropped the ball. Food and drinks however made up for where he lacked
Went for Sat. brunch, we were allotted 2 hours all you can eat/drink. We weren’t approached by a waiter until 10 minutes after we were sat. Towards the end of our reservation our waiter was not attentive and wasn’t friendly. We felt cut short and that we didn’t get as much out of the experience as we should have.
We loved the location. We sat outside by the water. The food and drinks were very tasty.
Great location, romantic atmosphere. Water rats.
The food was good. The outdoor seating view is beautiful. The staff is very nice and professional.
The patio is one of the best places in the city to enjoy views of the river.
Food was great. Staff was nice with letting us move inside when it got cold
We were celebrating my daughters birthday
The food was great! We had an excellent server. The only problem was that we sat outside and a person in my party is allergic to bees. Because of the bee problem we couldn’t enjoy our brunch the way we wanted
Food and Drinks very tasty
One of my favorite places to eat in that area. Clean, great service and food and an awesome view.
Loved the dinner. Sat outside on the patio and watched the sunset. It was a beautiful night. Service and food were wonderful. Will definitely go back.
My boyfriend and I loved the food and ambience! Can’t wait to go back.
I repeatedly asked to lower the booming music. No response. I left.
Great place to eat out with family and friends. Recommend
Good was surprisingly good. Grilled octopus was tender and the lemon dressing on the greens was perfectly balanced. The ceviche was extremely fresh and the crab cakes had little to no filling. Be prepared for a noisy crowd hanging out on their boats.
Had a person visiting from out of town. This is a great place for a unique DC experience with a great view!
We sat out on the patio and the service and cuisine was excellent. My only complaint was the music. It would have been a nicer experience to listen to jazz music versus very loud reggaeton. I am Dominican and am fluent in Spanish. Unfortunately, a lot of the lyrics in the music played were not family-friendly.
Amazing! Definitely a nice place for brunch
Nice setting, view was amazing. Staff was nice and the food was good.
Great Ambiance! Great Food! I would definitely recommend and have recommended to others.
Quality of food is super underwhelming. My shrimp was tough and did not have the fullness of the coconut you’d expect from coconut shrimp. I’ve tasted much better. The chocolate cake at the end was great. Very light yet satisfying. Drinks were good.
A good experience all around. We enjoyed the food, the view of the Potomac and the service was fine. I especially appreciated the steps taken to protect against COVID-19, including the temperature checks. We ate outside and felt secure.
I chose outside dining and everything was beetiful. Literally beetiful, I had to fit the bees while dining. However, scenery was nice inside and out with views of the water. Food was delicious but wish menu had more selections e.g. side salad, veggie sides instead of starches. Love the ambiance perfect for date night and special occasions. FYI it is no kids menu if you are bringing children.
Amazing atmosphere and food, we had to ask for refills but other than that perfect service and I would highly recommend if your looking for a new food spot.
Great outdoor dining for celebrating the right moment.
great bottomless drinks & pretty view for outside dining. kind of pricy though
Everything was perfect. We arrived prior to our reservation and were able to get seated early. All staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We sat outside and they were continually moving umbrellas to keep everyone in the shade. We were there for brunch and the included food and seasonal sangria were excellent. The crab legs were delicious!
Had a great time on Sunday Branch Labor Day, the view was excellent, food was great and service superb by our waiter Peter
Great scenery of the river, very loud, but great for the occasion.
I’m use to the buffet style but a lot of food wasn’t on the menu but I saw other tables getting food that wasn’t presented. That should’ve been told to me at the beginning
Great ambiance, lighting, food, and service. A little bit of a walk away from parking, but worth it.
Food was ok I had the ciopinno I could had been aliitle more flavorable the seafood especially the lobster didn’t look fresh.
We have been going to Sequoia for over 6 years now. The last 2 visits were a little disappointing as the dress code is lacking. The food is great, the service was great (Pete and Onassis). Thank you. When you visit an establishment like Sequoia, you should be dressed for Sequoia. In the past, you cared about that. I honestly don’t know if I would visit again to see sneakers and baseball caps.
A more safe way to enjoy food with friend during Covid. Outside dining, waterfront, lovely music, great service from Patrick and wonderful food.
