Our waitress Fon (sp)? was very personable and engaging. Enjoyed her service.
Pete the manager was also very engaging and professional.
We always eat at Sequoia, food is great, service is great and atmosphere is exceptional.
I've been looking for crab fried rice my entire adult life lol. It was amazing
I usually love Sequoia, however this was not a good experience. The hostess were not welcoming and when asked to sit at a different table we were told “that’s for guest of 10 or more”. However, 5 minutes later a party of 5 of a different race were seated at the table, please note we had 7 guest. This experience was very disheartening and we will definitely not be returning to this establishment!!!!
One of my favorite places!! My son and mom loved it and so did I. Great service, great food! Loved it all. Can't wait to go back!
Great Mother's Day Brunch! Staff was very attentive and all COVID procedures followed! So glad Brunch has returned to Sequoia!
This was my second time here. It’s a beautiful place. Food is excellent and the service was good. The only issue I had was we came down from Philly and had a 1:30 reservation. There was a 15 min wait to sit inside so we opted to sit outside. We were seated around 1:45 and then we were told last call would be at 2:45. So we felt rushed. When booking our reservation it stated we would have 2 hours to sit at the table. I wish it would have stated in the booking info that last call would be at 2:45. We could have planned to drive down earlier for an earlier reservation.
Went for mother's day brunch which I figured would be nuts but it felt poorly planned given the limited capacity in place. We were on the top floor and had to carry plates up and down which wasn't ideal for my 70 year old mom with 70 year old knees. The $90/person rate wasn't worth the value if one wasn't drinking alcohol.
Great brunch at Sequoia for Mother’s Day 2021. The serving stations were set up in a manner that reduced contact and germ spreading. Every station had servers wearing gloves and masks who plated my food request. Food at each station had a clear plastic shield allowing access to servers only.
Food choices were many. From seafood to made to order stations (waffles, pancakes, salad, omelette, guacamole, taquerias), carved meat selections, potatoes, sausage, etc. not to mention bottomless alcoholic drinks.
The only downside was paying $45 for my 4-year old grandson to eat the buffet. Kind of pricey for a child his age.
The Sunday Brunch is pretty amazing. I'm glad that the staff serves the food in the buffet line, lessening the risk of too many hands handling the serving utensils.
Great service and Covid regulations but overpriced for a Mother's Day buffet when your limited to staying for two hours. Crab legs and shrimp were overcooked so a disappointment when I am assuming the increased price was due to a raw and sushi bar. Desserts were also not great but cotton candy was fantastic!
We had a fabulous Mother’s Day brunch! Food was excellent. Service was top notch- worth every penny!
I love the entire dining experience!! The only downside was that it was Mother’s Day and the brunch was $89.95, but it was well worth it.
This was our first post-vaccine date/anniversary celebration, and we had an amazing time. We ate out on the patio, and the staff at Sequoia brought over heat lamps and a fire pit so we could stay warm while taking in the lovely view. We ordered short rib and fillet mignon, respectively; we also shared the buratta appetizer and some kind of dark chocolate torte with raspberry on top for dessert. It was all divine. We look forward to coming back here for another special occasion soon!
I made reservation for mother-in-law’s 80th bday celebration. When called about parking the day of and to request window I was informed wedding was in main dining room. Our dinner was in smaller “state” room- in the back, limited views, and felt like a conference room. Overall, food was great but you may want to call earlier to see if there is a wedding night of reservation. Overall, we were all a little disappointed in evening.
Everything was great
The crab cakes were scrumptious, all crab meat. The.mashed potatoes were so delicious.
Thank you for the kind words! We pride ourselves in our crab cakes! We look forward to seeing you soon at Sequoia.
Excellent service and experience!! Definitely will be back
love the beautiful views and decor. Mimosas were amazing food was eh. Could have been so much better the presentation wasnt all that either. But despite that I would probably go back for dinner.
We appreciate the feedback and will use it as an opportunity to serve our guests better in the future. We do hope you join us for dinner soon.
My party and I really enjoyed our dining experience at Sequoia. I don't think anything could have been better. Looking forward to returning.
Always a great vibe !!!
<Mothers day would have been busy im glad we was able to go on friday. the food was delicious
We are so glad you enjoyed Sequoia! It was a busy weekend for sure and we look forward to hosting you again soon!
Service was not good. Food quality going down and incorrect orders.
Thank you for your feedback, we hope to better serve you in the future!
Slowwwwwwwww service. As long as you have time for it it’s worth it. But diner beware!
Good morning! We appreciate the feedback and apologize the experience was delayed. We are glad you enjoyed and hope to better serve you in the future!
Beautiful brunch buffet. With endless mimosas. Definitely coming again.
I've been to Sequoia many times. I was very interested to see how things were since covid. I was surprised to find out that the Sunday buffet is still going on. The menu seems to be at least 90% of what was available before. I noticed some of the charcuterie options aren't available.
The lines for food got pretty long. There is a "bouncer" standing at the entrance to the buffet area so you have to wait to be let in to get food. This set up makes it tricky to get food and have a good time in 2 hours. The process for getting food can take 20 mins or more.
Ana Lazo the hostess saved the day because my parents were late to brunch and she was able to seat us.
Our reservation was for 2:00pm. Upon booking the reservation, I was aware that there was a two hour table limit. I had confirmed the reservation via the text message service. Due to traffic, (living two hours away), we arrived at 2:30. When we arrived, we were told that the restaurant had already did last call and was not seating anyone else because the kitchen was closing at 2:45pm. This doesn't make sense. With a two hour table limit, we expected that as long as we got there by 3:00pm we were fine. I was disappointed. It was never communicated in advance that the kitchen closes at 2:45pm and that they take last calls at 2:15pm. We had to rush to find another place to eat being that this was a business trip and we had an entire day planned.
Very nice for a upscale restaurant very nice views
Thank you for visiting us, we look forward to hosting you again!
Enjoyable evening on the Potamoc with expansive indoor and outdoor seating.
Service was slow, desert was awful, apps and entrees were good. Seems like quality overall has gone down since COVID.
