Great spot. I’ve been here a few times but wanted to bring a group friends here to experience it. They lived it too.
Overall, it was a great experience.
I had an AMAZING time! The food, service, and decor was beautiful!
I had a very romantic evening with my lady at the sequoia, the food was excellent, the ambiance was great overall it was an outstanding place.
I do want to thank google for suggesting Sequoia as a great brunch place. I was late but the receptionist was very understanding. The food was great and the service was exceptional. I went there on a Saturday and I loved the ambience. My friend enjoyed her birthday brunch and was very appreciative of the scenery - the red and white. The waiting staff was very pleasant and helped us throughout. In the future, I will patronize sequoia again. Thank you all once again because y’all made a lasting impression. By the way the crab omelette was bomb 🥰🥰
I love Sequoia...never disappoints!!!!
Delicious food and service was excellent even though we had a late reservation-did not feel rushed!!
We would not return to Sequoia. Our waiter was pleasant and was on the spot for the beginning of our dining experience. The drinks were slow coming out due to a problem with the smoke machine for a special Manhattan cocktail. In the end, it was not that smoky. The Pomegranate Mojito was tasty. We ordered all three courses and the first two courses were delivered in the proper timing. The main course was delivered way too late. Diners came after us, ordered, ate and left before our main course arrived. The corn and crab soup was tasty. The caesar salad was nice~ I thought the dressing was bland, my husband said it was ok. I didn't detect anchovy flavors at all. My crab cake was ok. My husband's halibut was delicious but the pea puree it came with tasted mostly of basil and was too thick. We passed on dessert because we just wanted to get out of there. The food is much better than the ambiance and service. Outside bar area seemed to be very popular.
Great service and as always delicious food. It was their Sunday brunch that has a nice variety of food . Service was attentive without being intrusive. Excellent views no matter where you sit in this restaurant. We plan to return
Azzi remains the most and most efficient waiter at sequoia highly recommend and tip well...Mention AP when dining when talking to Azzi..The Bead Guy
We had a great time! Felt like you were on a cruise ship. Crab cakes were delicious! Paella was so good. The lines were surprisingly short for the amount of people there. Would definitely recommend.
If you love seafood... This is a place for you. Sequoia never dissapoints me or my family! Its expensive in comparison to other brunch spot in DC but worth every penny! Sequoia offers a variety to satisfy every taste bud! Try it! You will not be dissapointed!!!
Excellent food, excellent service, wonderful ambiance. We had a table overlooking the Potomac. I only wish the weather had been warm enough to sit outside.
Fabulous from the moment we walked in. Food was outstanding, service was impeccable, and atmosphere was charming. Made for a very special birthday dinner!
Overall, our visit was great, Rebecca was very attentive to our table and the food was amazing. We were stunned by the fact that the advertised brunch items on your website were not available. For example, your website advertises made to order stations (Omlette, Taco, crabcakes, etc) none of which were ever offered to us, while we were surely informed of the $5 brunch price increase. In addition, seafood added to brunch was $10 more which your website does not say. Again, food and service were good just update your website to reflect the reality.
Great food great service. Nice send clean dining area, parking nit free but close
Our Server Pete was Fantastic...thank you Pete for a lovely dinner!
Sequoia brunch was absolutely fabulous! Where do I start? This is such a beautiful classy and ethereal place setting to come to. From the person who accommodated me in my reservations and seating me. The waiter service was phenomenal. The variety of food choices was heaven!
It was my daughter’s birthday and Wow, didn’t Sequoia’ Brunch make the celebration a wonderful time!
We are coming back this upcoming Sunday, just because this is the place for brunch!
I had an awesome time!!!! The food was great & the atmosphere was even better. I have no complaints.
A great night out for our family. Was a celebration of life. The food was great.
Yes it is a great location since it looks out over the Potomac. Value, not sure if the location outweighs the value. I have had better Surf & Turf for a lower price. For a special event or occasion, perhaps this is the place but for everyday dining, I would not return.
Nice place, great food. We loved the view and thr birthday candle was cool
Everything was great I would like to see the waitress more than twice for drinks.
The service at Sequoia was superb! the food was delicious and PLENTIFUL... the only complaint I have is that it was very noisy.. other than that., we had a great time. I would go back again..
Over crowded this weekend. God and service restaurant design and layout was excellent as usual. But the crowd and noise level was almost unbearable. I’m black and have been there many times and it seems that the word got out about this place I’m the hood. Because this weekend it was more of us there and it sounded like a high school cafeteria, mixed with a costume party. Could only speak to my party to my immediate left and right.
My third time there. I love the buffet and the service generally. It was okay this time. Our waitress could have been a little more accomodating, however we still tipped her well.
I really recognized the noise level this time. There were a great many celebrations taking place, so I understand.
Went for a birthday brunch and had a spectacular time. The wait staff was phenomenal and the food was excellent.
I loved everything about brunch at Sequoia! The food was incredible, the service was amazing, and you can't beat the view of the Potomac through the large glass windows! I had gone to brunch with my mother a few years ago and wanted to go again for a belated birthday celebration. It was just as amazing I remembered it. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a fancy brunch!
Overall the food was amazing my waitress was a little stuck up.
The service was phenomenal! I am a native Washingtonian and been there a few times in the last 2 decades...this time was the best.
The ambiance was great and the food was pretty good. That’s the only good thing I have to say about this place. We came for my friends birthday and paid $50/person for terrible service. We ordered coffee and a mimosa as soon as we sat down. The mimosa took 20 minutes to get there. We asked multiple people walking by for coffee and they all said they’d get our server. Our server came and said he’d bring the coffee right away. When we returned he said he forgot cups then took the coffee pot away from us to fill the coffees on the table next to us. We waited again 30 minutes after our first round of food came and ask for coffee again. Finally we received it. On the final round of food we order shrimp and grits, fruit, cornbread and bruschetta. We received everything but the cornbread and bruschetta. I ask to make sure it was still on it’s way, the server assured me that it was. He came back by the table to say it was last call, I asked about our missing food item, he again assured me it was coming. He brought our check, we paid, and never saw the food.
For a higher end bottomless brunch this place was awful. If you can’t keep up with the tables then you need to hire more people or have it as a buffet style brunch. The service was so poor I have been telling everyone not to come here. This completely ruined my experience and my friend said that it ruined his birthday. It shouldn’t take an hour to get coffee and I should not have to remind our server multiple times of our food order.
Went on Saturday for brunch, insanely busy so service was really rough (30 minute wait each time for two rounds of food)
Best things: mac & egg, eggs benedict, mimosa frosé, bruschetta
Worst: ham & egg croissant (cold?), sorbet
Service was great initially but as the restaurant got crowded the service got slower
Came for a birthday celebration! Pricey for brunch service, however there were many options for food so it was worth it. Drink we’re also great , offered 3-4 options for bottomless. Only complaint is i wish there was maybe a in house DJ or even just music playing a little louder . Otherwise, i have a great experience.
Absolute worst experience of any restaurant I have ever experienced. The Sunday Brunch Buffett was overcrowded, so loud that you could not hear, and the food was horrible. Additionally, the staff was overwhelmed and inattentive. When one evaluates restaurants, they should thank of quality of food, ambiance, and value for the money. This restaurant had none of these. I will definitely cross off the list, and advocate to all of my friends that they do not waste their time or money here. So many better choices in DC.
BEEN HERE A THOUSAND TIMES ... ALWAYS HAVE A GREAT EXPERANCE
Aziz is the best server out. Have been coming for brunch here for many years. I highly recommend you request him
Good food and service. Nice setting. Just loud.
I've been to Sequoia's Sunday Brunch several times, the first few times was on Christmas day and I have to say the service was excellent. However, this most recent time which was not a Holiday the service wasn't as great. The waiter seemed overwhelmed and wasn't the best at making sure our table was cleared of plates after we were done eating and getting us refills of drinks. Overall the experience was good.
Anniversary experience was fantastic
