George and Eric fantastic servers. Good and view fantastic. Burgers and crab cakes delicious
Great food, amazing services!! the first time will be back.
The unlimited mimosas were not as good as they have been. Champagne was very bitter. Food was somewhat cold and lukewarm. Not as satisfied as we have been during prior visits.
Excellent brunch options, consistent quality on multiple visits.
Well, I grew up in the DMV. Always wanted to dine at Sequoia's for something special. It was my wedding anniversary. Was disappointed by the attire and disposition of the clientele. I thought the restaurant would have a more mature ambience and upscale atmosphere. I was obviously mistaken. Food was just OK. Probably won't return.
The restaurant was beautiful, with a nice view, but that’s where the highlight of my visit ends. We had to wait until the hostess finished with a private conversation before being greeted, we were rushed by our waiter, my burger had to be pre-made because it was cooler than room temperature and we were finished dining within 30 minutes.
This restaurant is not the same as before. I have been to the restaurant before Covid. The service and quality is really bad. What happened?
The food was absolutely AMAZING. best brunch I've ever been to in DC. the server was on point with keeping my Bellini filled to the brim, and also made sure we ordered our food before the cut off time and got to try EVERYTHING. definitely worth the money, I would highly recommend!
Birthday celebration … truly enjoyed ourselves and we weren’t rushed out! That was an added bonus!
Had a good time and enjoyed the food. The security measures of security guards walking around telling diners to put their mask on was a bit daunting. Although I understand the need, I wonder if there could be a different approach or maybe have them dressed in less police/security attire.
Food was good and service was excellent
The food was delicious. The service was excellent and the staff was very courteous, flexible, and helpful. I will definitely be a returning customer and will definitely recommend this restaurant
It was good—just a little overpriced
Good food with a wide variety, very good wait staff Pricey but most would think it to be money well spent. Try to bet a table that overlooks the river
Nice, Romantic, friendly staff.
Had an excellent server!
It was nice but I think it was a little overpriced for what you get…
It was decent. I’d go back. The chicken was dry, couldn’t had more variety for the price point and the quality was just ok. I liked the all you can eat crab cakes, the crab legs, the cheese grits. Everything else was basic you’d find at any other Buffett except the pasta wheel station. I’ve been to many high end brunch buffets with same price point or lower so I’m kinda different.
New Year’s Brunch was amazing. Endless mimosas was everything.
My family and I enjoyed having New Year's Day Brunch there. It was buffet style and they served you, which I appreciated. Overall very great selection of food. If you love seafood then you would love this place. They had crab legs and crab cake station along with many other items. The unlimited drink selection definitely makes this worth the steep price. They were plentiful and flowed freely throughout our stay. I would definitely return especially for a special occasion. Im goin to go bavk for dinner when I get a chance.
Great time, despite low capacity due to Covid. Made reservations, got window seating, great drinks, great service, and w onderdul food.
Great variety of choices on the menu. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was phenomenal; wonderful views.
Beautiful setting, overlooking the Potomac. Service was great. Food was great.
For starters the hostess needs an attitude adjustment. We arrived with a reservation for a birthday dinner. I had requested a view of the water through open table. They gave us a table right at the entrance (horrible) when I asked the hostess with attitude she responded they could fit our party near the windows. Which I completely understand, however her attitude was unnecessary.
We were then sat down and our waiter came. He was soooo sweet, he really made the night bearable. Let’s begin with the appetizers, The ceviche was really spicy, more than enjoyable. The calamari was great. The guacamole was very spicy as well. Then we ordered the entrees. The entrees we terrible. The chimichurri chicken was undercooked, the NY steaks were sooo hard and no flavor. Seriously don’t get the steak. The only good thing was the Mediterranean salad.
When our entrees came out (which took longer than expected) the manager was treating our waiter so bad and not on out our waiter but the other ones as well. He is a micro manager and doesn’t allow the waiters to do their job. Our waiter was really so nice I wish the manager wasn’t involved so much. He should focus on his kitchen that’s what needs supervising. Cause the food is trash for the price.
Will we be back? No… definitely not worth what we paid for. The venue however is beautiful! Wish the food quality would match the beauty of the venue.
Grilled octopus was tender/ superb. Loved the squash soup!!!
We had a wonderful dinner before attending a show at the Kennedy Center. The staff made sure that we received everything on time to ensure that we had both a great meal but also didn't rush at the end to walk over. The venue is BEAUTIFUL and the menu had something for everyone. Parking was also super easy. Would definitely go again!
We went here because we love the location and especially the seafood tower. As always, the food was outstanding, and service started off great. But after coffee & dessert when we were ready to leave, our waiter was nowhere to be found. We had an 8pm show and needed to leave so some of us got up, used restroom, put on coats, and still no one. Ended up having to flag down another waiter. This was really disappointing, as everything else was perfect up to that time, and the prices are really high.
I booked a table for brunch not realizing that the only thing on offer was an all you can eat/ drink brunch. We were hungry when we arrived and didn’t want to go searching about for an alternative so we stayed. We sat upstairs from the main dining room with a wonderful view of Georgetown harbor. The food on offer covered pretty much everything one normally expects in an all you can eat setting and was of good quality. We had oysters, crab legs, crab cakes, sushi, smoked salmon and chicken and waffles. Our only complaints are that given the price the value component is lacking. Also the menu says they offer unlimited “champagne” but the sparkling wine being served is not “champagne” (ie the sparkling wine made in the champagne region of France) but a cheap sparkling wine from Moldavia (like $5 per bottle at wholesale my guess). The wine tasted ok but given the price of the brunch it was misleading to have the “unlimited champagne” come on that made the price appear reasonable. Note that they don’t serve the fake champagne in its bottle but from a glass carafe. I have never heard of decanting sparkling wine but one might be led to suspect that they are hiding it’s humble origins.
Came for my birthday with friends. Protocols were in place. Service was amazing! Food was good as usual. Mimosa glasses stayed full. As usual, we’ll be back.
70th birthday celebration.
Very good experience
Food is delicious
My favorite is the crab cakes
My family has attended the Christmas Brunch in the past and this one was of no comparison. Firstly, I called the restaurant and asked about Covid protocols. I was told temperature checks upon arrival, 6ft spacing of tables, no large parties and all areas of buffets would be served and of course masks required except for eating. No one checked our temperature or any other guests, tables were set up with regular spacing, despite having plenty of open tables and upstairs and patio seating, some areas of buffet were still self service including plates. I noticed a patron, pick up a plate walk around the entire buffet area and set the plate back on the clean stack of plates, while none of staff or security said anything. I saw numerous staff, wearing their masks improperly, not covering their nose.
Food was good, taste wise, but several advertised items were missing. Snow crab legs, spiced shrimp and fried chicken. Also, they were only serving the regular brunch beverages, not the signature holiday cocktails, which was very disappointing. Looking at the menu when we arrived, I noticed it had been changed from what was online when we made reservations, weeks ago. Considering there was almost a $40 increase from prior years, I don’t think it was worth the additional money spent this year. It was just a regular Sunday brunch on Christmas.
I do appreciate the staff for giving us the opportunity to find on Christmas.
Everything was great! Our waiter was awesome and the food was delicious.
One of the best holiday dining events in DC. Will be back next season if not sooner.
My family and I chose as the place to meet for Christmas brunch and we were not disappointed. The food was fresh, colorfully presented and the taste was simply delicious. The staff was energetic, very helpful and professional. Despite concerns about COVID-19, we felt comfortable as the tables were at least 6/8 feet apart with staff, monitoring guest to ensure that mask were being worn as people move about to get food. The restaurant was clean, festive and simply beautifully decorated. Our entire party enjoyed the experience, already requesting Sequoia for Christmas 2022 brunch.
And the child and adults really enjoyed Santa!
Had a party of 5 for Christmas Eve. All went with the price fix option$80 each. The hostess stand was very accommodating. The waitstaff were on top of everything, with one slip up of a much delayed initial wine order. The ahi tartare first course was average. The soups were fantastic. The salads were very good. 3 diners had the Sea Bass and said it was tough. 2 of us had the NY Strip which was cooked perfectly to order and seasoned nicely but was about average for what you’d expect at a restaurant for the price. They served a vegetable I didn’t recognize that was very tough and tasteless. Would never voluntarily eat it again. Desserts were also average. Nice presentation though. Biggest complain was they charged $10 each for fountain drinks, which is patently absurd tacked onto an $80 meal. So it was a pleasant experience until the check. Like everything else in DC, way overpriced and failed to fully deliver the goods.
They rushed the entire 5 course pre-fixed meal from start to finish. Bad experience
