Seorabol Korean Restaurant
Service was awful. Waitress who barbecued our meat never made eye contact or had any conversation with us. The marinated short ribs were disappointing, very fatty and tough. So overpriced for what you actually get. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.
Lovely restaurant with authentic Korean cuisine. Conveniently hosted 18 people for our dinner party and were very attentive, courteous, and accommodating. The location is a little far out from Philadelphia, but definitely worth a try!
Food are great. Table is enough for 10 people, Great place for party
I don't even remember how many times I've been to this restaurant. I have never had a bad experience with them so far. They are quite busy most of the time, especially over the weekends. So it is highly recommended to make your reservations ahead of time if possible. Their service are good, but sometimes a tad bit language barrier because most of the employees there speaks Korean. You know this is an authentic Korean bbq place for sure. Their food are always fresh and in high quality. Honestly, you can't really go wrong with marinating some meat, chicken, or pork now, right? I particularly love their galbi! My husband loves their cold noodle, and it is serve all year round, unlike other places that serves them seasonal. We always order the combo to get both of our favorites!! Not to mention their unlimited order of their variety of small sides dishes. Some of their side dishes do get changed up from day to day, but certain ones are always available, such as kimchi. Overall the restaurant is fairly clean.
My best friend from AZ was visiting Philadelphia & wanted to eat at a KBBQ establishment. I’ve heard great things about Seorabol and our overall experience was outstanding ! We’ve also had an amazing server (Anthony S.) who helped us with the cooking & kept making sure we were good !
I have never met a more rude waitress. I think the staff needs to be retrained.
Very nice staff. Food unremarkable. Abysmal wine selection. Bring your own for $15 corkage fee we’ll worth it. Not good enough to recommend or go back.
Seorabol has some of the best Korean food anywhere-- and I include a bunch of places in Seoul in that assessment. It's family-run, and absolutely authentic. I've never had better galbi anywhere. No, really.
We came with a party of 10 for a teenager's birthday. Everything was great, the teens loved the participatory element of the BBQ, the food was delicious, and our waiter, Brian, was the absolute best.
Service was really bad and did not get customers’ orders correctly. We weren’t able to get the meat combo we wanted, and were charged more for the “incorrect” meal the waiter ordered for us.
This is straight forward really good Korean BBQ. I was impressed with the Sashimi as well... perfect temp and nice size slices. Note, it's in a residential neighborhood you might not think has a restaurant... let your GPS take you there!
It’s always a good time at Seorabol!
Thank You Clyde!!! Bryan was simply entertaining and a badass!!!!!! You guys certainly took care of my team and the food portion was generous and mouthwatering as always!!!
The food is very good and tasty but after what was spent, it better be. Prices were raised from the last time I came and were surprising. The waiter didn't check to see if we needed anything. The staff were nice when we need to get their attention. However, our whole table wasn't served at the same time so we sat waiting for the one person and our food chilled during the wait. Overall it was an expensive, okay experience.
I’ve been going to Seorabol for about five years, now, and it’s never failed to make me happy. When I started going, I knew nothing about Korean food— I just knew this place had great food. I just came back from my fourth trip to Seoul, and I have to say I’ve never had better BBQ anywhere than I have here with the Cho family.
The service may seem standoffish to those used to American waitstaff, but it’s not. The practise here, as I’ve found in Korea, is to leave you to your food and friends until you need something, at which point there’s a button on your table to summon help. While some of the older staff is less fluent in English than Korean, there’s plenty of younger staff to help translate if you need it.
My favourite thing to get is by far the galbi. It’s always rich, with a high-quality cut of meat. I usually find bulgogi a bit too sweet, but I actually like it here— not too sweet or too loaded with sauce. The banchan is always copious and varied, and refills can be had whenever you like.
I’ve eaten in a lot of restaurants in a lot of places, and I have to say: this is my favourite place. I hope you like it, too.
I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and the food has drastically gone downhill. Nothing like what it was back in the earlier 2000 era. It’s not authentic anymore.
The restaurant is obviously a favorite. Such a favorite that we waited one hour ten minutes to get our reservation. This may have been because it was mother's day. The food was good and the service good once seated and considering the full seating. We were given a second round of appetizers which was nice. Based on only one visit my advice is to be there as the doors open and you will enjoy the food.
A delicious meal with prompt, helpful service and a very nice atmosphere. An excellent experience.
The food was great! The service was a little slow due to restaurant was busy.
The wait staff was awesome... helped us in selection of food and on how to prepare... this was our first time at a Korean bbq ... and will will be back
As always, food was great. Unfortunately service was extremely slow. We have been here many many times and had hoped for a better experience for my daughter’s BD dinner
I've been coming here for years, but this experience was the worst. Our server was never around, we never received one of our orders, and we kept having to find someone else to ask for anything (water, rice, more bon chon). Extremely disappointed as this WAS my favorite Korean bbq go to.
I would not return to this place ever! It was in a super sketchy part of town. It wasn't very clean and the food was not good. We were looking forward to Korean BBQ and it was just very poor quality meat. Just yuck!
Everything was fine, but they were too busy, not enough server.
The marinated short ribs were really good. Try the spicy fried shrimp too (they go by a different name so ask your server). Our server was helpful and attentive.
This is a good Korean barbecue
The food is always great and the service is spectacular. Everyone is super friendly and kind.
This has been my favorite Korean restaurant for over a decade (since their old location). You can never go wrong with the BBQ here. It's amazing. The service is incredible and everyone is so friendly. I bring my friends here as often as I can!
Food was great, and comfortable noise level. However waitress was extremely inattentive.
Great food and service
Great Food, Great Service. You must have the seafood pancake and Cinnamon Tea!!
Very good food but service can be slow. Today’s visit was nice because the waiters were very friendly.
The staff was very helpful. This was my first time having Korean bbq and everything they recommended was delicious.
I took my daughter and her friends there for her birthday. We had a great time. Although we had Korean cuisine before, we had never had hot pot or BBQ. It was excellent and the service was great.
It’s been awhile since we were here and I was very impress how attentive the staffs were with a large group of 8 ppl. The professional, friendly and very helpful! We did the BBQ and had a fantastic experience! We also order a few extra dishes (japchae, tonkatsu, sushi rolls, etc) and they were all very good. Thank you for making our experience wonderful! Can’t wait to come back again!
Good selection of high quality meats for korean bbq. Disappointed the all you can eat option was phased out (2 years ago?). But we got our fill of meat from similar pricing based on past ayce pricing.
The seafood pancake was great in that it had large chunks of seafood (especially the octopus). The soondubu was also great and not too crazy spicy, but very savory and tasty.
Be aware they can only take a max of 3 credit cards to split the bill.
First time at a Korean Restaurant. Went with my girlfriend we ordered the Bulgogi (beef BBQ). Sat at one of their BBQ equipped tables. Our server helped us choose the appropriate dish as if you choose to sit at the BBQ equipped table you must order something that will be cooked on it. So menu stated we had to order the Bulgogi for 2 which was 2 times menu listed price which we found out when we got our bill. Server was very attentive to make sure he kept coming back to make sure meat was cooked properly and not burned. 6 to 7 small plates of various Korean cuisine was spread out on table ahead of the marinated beef. We weren't given a choice of what the small plates would be. Everything was tastey however it would of been nice to be presented a description and a choice of what was brought out. But we were going for the whole adventure of trying something new. Guess if you knew Korean food you could request what you wanted to be brought out. Overall was a very good experience. Ambiance was loud and energetic with what seemed to be seasoned Seorabol regulars. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try Korean cuisine for the first time. Staff was friendly and attentive. Apparently they even had a switch on the wall to summon staff but we never had to use it.
Expected more from a Korean restaurant that prides itself in significant catering business as well. The food was acceptable, but nothing worth writing home about. There are better places in Philly like Jong Ka Jib or Korea Garden (in Blue Bell).
I have been coming to seorabol for years now and it always makes me a happier person when I leave.
I highly recommend doing BBQ at the table and bringing friends. Get lots and lots of GALBI!
This was my first time having Korean barbeque where you cook at the table. It was really fun and delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful.
