At Senza Gluten we want to make sure your dining experience is perfect and safe by guaranteeing a 100% gluten-free cuisine. Italian food is an all time favorite, however, it is characterized by foods like pasta & pizza.
At Senza Gluten we want to bring the best Italian dishes to the table using a completely gluten-free approach.
Pretty decor...good choices on menu. Food delivered at a nice pace.
Amazing food. The only downfall is the cash only/Amex only policy
Great food... Outside seating was way too compact...almost impossible to sit comfortably
Food was great, as being gluten free this was the best Italian food I’ve had. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
The food was bland. The pasta was very good especially for gluten free but the red sauce was thick and bland. The portions were large. The restaurant itself looks old and not very clean. The service was very good. If you need a 100% gluten free restaurant it’s fine but there are much better gf options in NY.
It was an amazing experience! Food is delicious and the ambiance is quaint. Can't wait to go back!
Quaint and intimate restaurant. Everything, including spirits, is gluten free so the drink selection is limited.
The lamb chops were perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The green beans were crisp and the mashed potatoes were good and plentiful.
My wife loved the vegetable lasagna.
The service was attentive.
The MOST fabulous restaurant for Gluten Free dining! Our favorite place in NYC to dine gluten free.
I had pasta that was nothing special. Definitely not worth the money, but the dessert was amazing. I would go back for dessert only.
Would recommend to seriously gluten-free people, as the vibe is truly that of an authentic, intimate, Italian restaurant. 10/10 for ambiance, if you're looking to take your gluten-free boo out for a romantic Italian meal, this is your spot. The food was standard gluten-free subs (overly sweet baguette and crumbly pasta, as to be expected) but the sauces weren't particularly noteworthy which was disappointing. Service was less than stellar, inconsistent attention (at points we were being badgered for our order, then sat with empty drinks for most of our meal). Probably wouldn't go back as I eat gluten, but it's definitely a treat for those that don't.
Food and service was exceptional. I will definitely be returning.
Words cannot describe how delicious the meal us. It is also a stress free place for a celiac. The staff were so kind and accommodating to all other dietary restrictions as well!
My daughters favorite spot while in NYC.
We have one of the best meals of our vacation here. I would recommend Senza to anyone, especially if you eat gluten free. I ordered tiramisu for dessert it was delicious!
Overall a nice place, the inside decor is a nostalgic European style, some outdoor seating available. The service is excellent, genuine attention to everything. The food is good and I don’t regret anything I ate, but I would challenge them to give the food a bit more flavor. The gluten free is NOT the issue. It’s the other ingredients that need some more attention.
Everything in this restaurant is 100% gluten free. The starters and mains are absolutely gorgeous and the dessert are even better. Couldn’t fault anything.
Best Gluten free experience we've ever had. Ravioli was amazing and the Senza Gluten bakery right now the street was also wonderful! Glad we stopped in both places. Can't wait to go back
Senza had been hyped up to me by many of my fellow gluten free foodies, so I was extremely excited to check it out. We were seated immediately towards the back. The place is dark and simply decorated. It reminded me a lot of trattorias in Italy, which I appreciated. We shared the bread basket and each ordered a pasta. My friend had the penne and I had gnocchi. Both were good, but not outstanding. I was really hoping for a truly incredible plate of pasta for the steep price point, but was disappointed. A similar dish could be achieved in my kitchen at home. The dessert, however, was absolutely delicious. We had a molten chocolate cake with ice cream. Overall, I will likely be back because they really cater to diners with allergies, but if you are not someone who needs to eat gluten free I would skip and go to one of the many other amazing Italian joints in NYC for 1/3 the cost.
Amazing. A must have for those who are gluten free
Amazing for gluten free eating! It felt great not to have to worry about cross contamination etc. Felt like an authentic Italian restaurant. Huge fan!
My second visit - love it! Wonderful food, service and ambiance.
Awesome food and service. So good to find a restaurant that only cooks gluten free so it was safe to choose anything from the menu.
The steak was fantastic! The lasagna was awesome.
The bread was delicious. The tiramisu was pure heaven.
Going back soon.
Excellent gf food.
I always visit when I'm in NYC and the bakery that has been opened is great for cakes and sandwiches
This was such a special find in NYC. I had heard wonderful things about it, but it was more that wonderful. I have celiac and haven't had Italian food like this in over 11 years. My daughter who is not Celiac or GF said that her mushroom ravioli was some of the best she had ever had and she went to school in Italy for a semester. I can't wait to go back!
Delicious. Loved being able to eat everything. The mushroom ravioli was delicious.
Very tasty choices
Very nice gluten free restaurant
Los camareros no fueron nada amables
It is so difficult to find really good gluten free Italian food. The food is amazing!! By far best gluten free pasta and bread I have ever tasted!!!
Wonderful food - for gluten eaters and gluten avoiders. My daughter being celiac ordered and ate some of the most delicious food without fear -- calamari, ravioli, red velvet cake... everything fresh, delicious and served beautifully. The staff was wonderful, but the food was outstanding -- for those of us NOT gluten free, as well! What a treat!
It was a great experience ❤️ Great food... Great service...
Visited Senza Gluten as my wife has a gluten intolerance and very rarely gets to eat really good gluten-free Italian food. So she was very excited about our visit, and things started out great with a fried calamari appetizer, something she hasn't had in more than 7 years. Honestly, this was a great starter and didn't miss a beat. For entrees, I had the risotto, which was cooked well and had good flavor, while my wife had the chicken parm. Unfortunately, her entree was not very good, which I blame mostly on a thin, rather tasteless tomato sauce - a sin for any Italian restaurant. The chicken itself was fine, but sorely lacked the bread crumb from a traditional parmigiana and the mozzarella a bit lacking. The best part of the entree was the spaghetti accompaniment, which lacked the gritty texture that frequently comes with gluten free pasta. We finished the meal with a slice of red velvet cake. My wife was also thrilled to have this as a gluten free red velvet cake isn't the most readily available. However, she was incredibly disappointed to see it covered in a strawberry or raspberry sauce that wasn't listed on the menu. Our servers were attentive and nice throughout the meal and the space itself is nice as well, although a trip to the bathroom could prove challenging if you're over 6 feet tall or don't like lots of steps. Overall, a decent meal, but not in any rush to return.
Every time we go to this restaurant it’s a special occasion! the food is amazing and the fact that We don’t have to worry about what to eat, being gluten-free is Absolutely Fabulous
Senza Gluten was a wonderful experience. A family member who has celiac had no worries while dining in. Not to mention the food, service, and ambiance was amazing. Will definitely be back.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere is spectacular. Loved the experience!
Fantastic gluten free menu
What a find! Delicious pasta dishes without the carb guilt or heaviness. Had roasted cauliflower antipasti to start (filling and flavorful), spaghetti with clams (simple and light) and gnocchi bolognese (decadent). Also highly recommend the grape gin fizz. Didn't save room for dessert so will have to return!
Very good pizza. Main dining room cozy; side room a bit claustrophobic. Service patient and accommodating.
The food was awesome.
Having Celiac Disease it can be difficult and stressful to find a restuarant that offers great gluten free food without risk of cross contamination. Senza Gluten has great food, several options, and no risk of cross contamination. I would recommend Senza Gluten but inform that they only accept cash or American Express as forms of payment, they are alittle expensive, seating is limited and tables are very close together. However it is still my restaurant of choice when I visit NYC.
