Amazing as usual. Food...on point. Service....our server Elias on point as usual. What can I say, see you guys real soon.
Great sommelier, superb knowledge, very friendly. Food was excellent, great waiter. Bar scene was happening, great views of the Bay.
food was (very) slow to arrive...house wine (red) undrinkable...service was very good
I used to take clients to Sens for business lunches (and it was great), but it has been about 6 months since the last time I was there. A business meeting came up in the neighborhood of Sens last week and I didn't think twice about it; just booked the reservation. Unfortunately... the food was terrible. My guest ordered the octopus and was unable to cut through it. I ordered the lavash wrap and it looked beautiful (and HUGE) but it was disappointing at best. Both meals were pretty much inedible. We both gave up and opted to wrap up our meeting early. Flagging down a waiter to get the check was a challenge, but we finally managed to pay the bill and leave. I was horribly embarrassed to have talked up this place to a client and then have it fail so miserably.
Unparalleled view of Ferry Building and Bay Bridge. Night time lighting of each is best imho. Ordered coursed servings from appetizer menu, tapas style. So glad we did it that way. Awesome flavors. Order stuffed apricots everytime, a favorite. Also had English peas, octopus, Fallal salad. Attractively served and plated. Will definitely do this again! Tip: Ask for window seating.
Excellent spot for business lunch. Convenient location, spacious dining room with a view of the ferry building and bay bridge. Sort of Cal-mediterrean cuisine with excellent flatbread. Had the octopus, salmon and paella. Good portions for the price. Service was very attentive and dishes arrived timely.
house red wine
list could go on!
Everything was fantastic
Food is always fabulous here. We love the apricots stuffed with chicken tagine. The gnocchi appetizer with mushrooms were the lightest I've ever had. Both fish dishes--whole roasted sea bass and a halibut--were delicious and very different. Meyer lemon pudding is a must try. Great wine list. We've been here often and will keep coming back.
P.S. super convenient if you are staying at the Hyatt at the Embarcadero.
Amazing Valentine’s Day dinner
This is the most underrated restaurant on the embarcadero.
The view is magnificent as well as the setting.
The food crafted by Michel Adams and the Wine list by Peter Steiner, makes it a destination not to be missed either for a date, happy hour or event on the gorgeous Patio.
We got the feel that everyone is involve in making your experience being memorable from the managers to the Busser’s !
I worked in the financial district for over 10 years and didn’t know this place as it is located on the 3rd floor.
I can’t wait to go back with my team!
Amazing service and inventive food
Great food! Service and atmosphere was perfect for a business lunch! Definitely recommend!
Max was an excellent server, as we were first time diners there. We were not familiar with foreign Wines, but he let us try several so we could make a decision. His recommendations of menu items were up to par !
Excellent service as usual. Food and especially desserts to die for.
Beautiful views and great service.
It's the first time I ordered two starters in a restaurant as generally it's too dear. But the food was not enough, so I ordered a side later. The food was exquisite and customers can appreciate the Bay Bridge and the ferry building. But I will not come to the restaurant again as the price is over my expectation. I spent over 40 dollars and that is the second or third most expensive meal I've had.
Chicken salad was good — but have no idea why they throw on tons of oil on the chicken itself. Hey guys, this is SF and we want healthy pure food! Ambiance is gorgeous and staff 5 Star.
Stopped in for a quick dinner while in SF for work. The food was decent however the appetizer came out lukewarm.
go to client lunch spot. love the fatoush salad. yummy spreads, too.
Love this place. Next visit will be for dinner.
Delicious food, good cocktails, good service.
Great lunch! Service was excellent and food is always very good!
Menu is very limited and nothing is a typical food item.
wonderful restaurant. Lovely decor, clean and inviting. Beautiful salads, shareable and tasty. Varied menu with a vegan choice. Knowledgeable, attentive waiter. Unique selections. Generous portions and when shared, very affordable. The desserts were to die for. they are also shareable. Wine list was adequate, I recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys wholesome and healthy dinning.
Wonderful place to eat an to enjoy with a love one! The food was out of this world! ☺️
I have eaten at Sans a number of times and it has always been enjoyable. This last experience was less than I expected. The quality of food was excellent, but the portions were VERY small. We were two women who do not have big appetites. The price of the black cod was high and the portion was only a few small bites. Very disappointing!
My experience was "OK". I ordered the chicken lavash and it was too oily for my taste. Others in my party really enjoyed their respective choice. They should add another server or two during the lunch rush -- service was slow and spotty but it was obvious the server was working.
The menu has changed and there are a number of popular dishes that can now only be ordered in the bar area including the flat bread and hummus. We were in a group and were very frustrated that a number of the plates that are good for sharing weren’t an option.
This was my 3rd visit - spread out over 4 years and it didn't disappoint. Excellent service and exquisite food and topped off with a marvelous view across the bridge.
I'd recommend this place for a great business meal in the day or for an intimate dinner at the evening. The service was great, the food and presentation were amazing, and the views were great!
Check in process with host is slow and unresponsive and seemingly indifferent. The place is busy and the staff seems harried and unwelcoming.
Have eaten lunch and dinner here several times. Each time the food was excellent, service even better. Having been seated this last time next to a table of twelve who were enjoying their office party, we asked to move to quieter area so we could hear ourselves talking. Of course the restaurant was jammed full. Without any fuss, we were shown to a quieter room being held in reserve, made comfortable to enjoy our lunch. Our server was excellent, even though he now had to run between rooms. A beautiful decor and view as well - highly recommend for office lunches and dinner meetings.
Good service and good restaurant unfortunately our meals that night just weren’t great
We loved everything about this marvelous restaurant but the happy hour is very loud , in fact, extremely loud and it goes until 8:00 PM.
We booked this place because we could get in at the last moment and it was near the show we were seeing. We were happily surprised that the food was fantastic. On par with the best in the city. Highly recommend.
I took a friend, who loves Meditteranean cuisine, for dinner. The food was extraordinarily excellent - chicken meatballs, Moroccan lemon chicken soup, roasted stuffed eggplant, as well as sides of chard and couscous. The service was excellent, as well. Although it was near the end of Happy Hour, on a Friday night, and very noisy and crowded, we still were able to enjoy our conversation and enjoy the Embarcadero view.
The price was appropriate for the high quality food and service. I highly recommend Sens.
Always lively, fun and quick service. Very good food, creative menues and good drinks. Good for lunch kr dinner or just cocktails. Great appetizers.
Loud. Very slow service. Had to ask several times for the same thing. Main courses were average. Meat was to soft and fatty - more like beef paste. Sea Bass was so dry, hard to believe it ever lived in water. Appetizers were good and flavorful.
It’s a great tucked away restaurant that you would not noticed unless you were deliberately looking for it. The setting was great with a view and service was wonderful with its amazing taste of food.
