Senorita's Mexican Grill Ratings and Reviews
Unfortunately this friends get together for nye was a disappointment because the waitstaff was horrible and the food was not appetizing at all. The waitress was so slow despite it being empty. The food was bland and steak was over cooked. When we asked to split the bill she said she couldn't do it. Being a restaurant owner I know it is always possible to split the bill to accommodate the guests. Any way I will never recommend this place nor ever go back
My only complaint was that the server constantly came over to ask if we were ok...it became uncomfortable. It was as if they were pushing us to leave. The restaurant was not packed at all so my group and I couldn't understand the constant checking in. If we needed them, we would have signaled for assistance.
We hadn’t been to Seniorita’s for a while. Food is still fresh and tasty; atmosphere makes you want to party; the service while enthusiastic, seemed to be a bit amateurish however (when asked to have our food prepared extra spicy, we were told by the server that it came out as it came out. If we wanted it spicier we could always buy a side order of jalapenos).
Of bigger concern, was the forgotten fact that Bloomfield was under a boil water advisory, after a water main problem a day earlier. Reminded of this when we asked for tap water for the table, the same server told us that she would bring a bottle instead. We ended up paying $6 for that bottle. Maybe it’s me, but it seems that if you cannot provide tap water for your patrons, you should make some sort of effort to mitigate the problem, rather than profit from it.
Anyway, we probably won’t hold either against this restaurant for long, and will perhaps return when the Mexican craving again strikes.
We arrived at 725 , reservations were for 730 and we were seated right away . Our server was Nico who was every good & attentive. I had the Vino Blanco which was delicious and my Friend had the Corona ( which on the meal claims it brings fries as a side a doesn't ) but her meal was good as well . Their margarita weren't to good for being a Mexican restaurant, I had a mango flavored margarita which actually tasted like a regular margarita. My friend had a LIT which she enjoyed . Then I tried the 1800 Island Breeze and it was very good . Over all we were pleased with the service .
I had been to this restaurant a few years ago and at that time enjoyed the food. So when a friend suggested we go there I was happy to try it again. The table side guacamole had absolutely no flavor the avocados did not look fresh and we were not offered a heat level. We asked for jalapenos to be included otherwise they were not part of the recipe. It was so tasteless that we added our own salt and pepper and had left over. We both happened to have beef tacos. Not only were they lacking spices but the beef was watery more like a sloppy joe.
The restaurant was empty and should have been a clue. I am wondering what changed in the kitchen. Until it changes again I would not and will not return.
I fell in love with this restaurant. The atmosphere was authentic. The menu had a great assortment of favorites as well as speciality dishes. The food was delicious. I am a cheese enchilada fan so I ordered one of those along with a chiorzo and onion enchilada which was delicious! Totally happy with the food and service. Extra special for me is they do have a liquor license so a margarita was mandatory and really enhances the Mexican dining for me! Warm chips and delicious salsa also. I will be back!
A wonderful, creatively decorated, little spot in Bloomfield with a small adjacent parking lot. Quick, friendly service .. Great selection of appetizers and tapas.. Delicious margaritas (I especially loved the frozen mango one!). Fresh guacamole made at table side was a nice and delicious touch. So glad we stopped in here to eat before the production we were seeing at the Westminster Arts Center at Bloomfield College (which was a short 4 minute drive away).
Skip the onsite lot and park in the new parking garage across the street. This restaurant has a comfortable vibe that is perfect for families and groups. Prices and portions are great. Cocktail menu is extensive. Food is fresh and delicious. Note: there is no dessert menu. I was looking forward to dessert (as seen online). We popped into the supermarket to get our 5 year-old her treat on the way home.
We had family in town and they were craving Mexican. We found Senorita's on Open Table and it was really great! Our server was kind, informative and super efficient. She answered all our questions and was friendly and patient with us. The house margarita pitchers were great for our group and we ordered the table-side guac, which was amazing! The menu has great variety, especially for myself - I'm vegetarian - an there were a lot of great options for me! Thank you Senorita's for a great night, we'll definitely be back!
We had a great time. The food was very good with generous portions. In fact, my girlfriend and I shared the house salad and pulled rib enchiladas (?) and ended taking home half of both items as did her son. The service was actually outstanding. We will be back again soon!
We eat at Senorita's several times a year.. As usual,we had a very good meal that is not always your typical Mexican fare. We had soft shrimp tacos, enchilladas and a chicken with asparagras dish that were great. Our waitress was outstanding. She was friendly and did not miss a beat! My only negative comment is that I wish they had more convenient parking.
P.S. Margaritas are very good here!
Great service and excellent food and portions.
Children ate quesadilla which was very good and the other a hamburger and fries (OK not great)
We had the rib hard shell tacos with avocado which was excellent.
The free chips and salsa went fast so a free reorder was necessary and the sodas were also refilled a few times.
The food here is outrageous. We've been twice & every single thing we've ordered has been amazing. I've tried enchiladas, chimichangas, table side guac, yucca fries, quesadillas & a bunch more. Its all amazing. Really fresh and tasty. The only reason I don't give it a 5 is its very noisy, we have to yell at each other. And, the girls who answer the phones are really rude & obnoxious. You can tell that none of them want to be working. But in person, they're all really nice.
We tried this place for my husband's birthday based on recommendations from different people. My husband and I were both highly disappointed. I gave the overall 3 stars because our server was very good and the place has a cute Mexican look to it. We did not wait to be seated which was nice. Our server was very friendly and checked on us often. However, the food is a whole different story. The guacamole was bland. We ordered the beef chimichanga and carne asada and out of the 2 main dishes the best part was the rice and black beans. For the price and food quality I would have rather gone to Taco Bell.
THE FOOD, THE DRINKS & THE SERVICE WERE REALLY GOOD.. WHAT ELSE CAN YOU ASK FOR. CHIPS AND SALSA ARE REALLY GOOD. I HAD THE CHIMICHANGA AND MY WIFE HAD THE QUESIDILLAS AS THEY WERE REALLY GOOD. THEY WERE EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD AND THE PORTIONS ARE RIGHT TOO. HAD ENOUGH LEFTOVER FOR NEXT DAY'S LUNCH.
Best margarita I've had in a while & great service. The food was not so good though. The table made guac was pretty flavorless, the chicken enchilada was served in a flour tortilla, not corn, it was huge & the chicken didn't taste good to me. The rice was overcooked & beans were super salty. My husband had the steak chimichanga which wasn't crispy at all but the steak had nice spice & flavor to it. Had a good time though.
I was excited to try a Mexican food place by me. I was hoping for nice crunchy tacos with flavorful beef but instead I got bland soggy tacos. The appetizers were ok. I had the mexican combo and the chicken burrito was also bland. I was hoping for more spice but all I tasted was cheese. Service was excellent and the food came very promptly.
We love senoritas restaurant! We've been going here for years now and the food is just amazing! Love their facitas, Quintana Roo, tamales, chicken flamingo etc the list can go on and on. The place is very energetic and when you celebrate your birthday here, the big sombrero for the celebrant is so cute! Oh the dessert, they have the best tres leches you could ever find! The menu prices are so affordable as well that's why we love this place when we have family celebrations - amazing food with reasonable prices!!!
