Maine Lobster Salad
snow peas, cashews, radishes, napa cabbage, kale, thai style dressing
roasted tomatillo, chimichurri, blistered snap peas, cilantro
swiss chard, roasted sweet potatoes, pearl onions, crispy shallots
Food was fine but none of the dishes were particularly flavorful or remarkable. I was expecting higher quality overall.
Meals came out except one
Not a real apology from staff
My visiting nieces wanted to go to a seafood restaurant. They'd never had lobster or oysters. Why not start at the top? Simply amazing. Service was great as well.
Excellent food and service best of Boston!!
Great food - fresh, meticulous, creative. Not cheap but overall good value. Friendly, warm and intelligent service. Only problem is that the noise level in the back porch, where we were sitting, was unbearably high - could hardly hear each other across the table.
We love Select Oyster. Great food great people. Spectacular experience
Always good, on the pricer side though, one can’t have a meal for two with wine for less than $100 per person 🤨
Amazing food, so many flavours in each dish! Highly recommend
Delicious oysters! There were two people in my party who didn’t think they would like raw oysters. I convinced them to order a few from the a la carte menu. They liked them so much that we ended up ordering a platter.
Wait staff were very friendly and solicitous of an older disabled woman in our party. This restaurant has a welcoming, friendly vibe, and the food is great.
Good quality seafood and oysters. Ceviche and octopus were delicious and prepared perfectly. Cauliflower salad was beautifully presented and delicious. Lobster roll is good, but not worth the money.
Overall, nice experience, pleasant staff. Would go back.
Exquisite seafood in a cozy and laid back ambiance. Fantastic wine list and great cocktails. Wonderful selection of local bivalves. Exceptional service.
Food continues to be excellent and creative. One of the best oyster places around with other excellent crudo, tartare and shellfish options. Sat outside on a beautiful evening. Service was exceptional.
Excellent local seafood - special occasion hosting our west coast family. Seafood towers are amazing. Everyone loved it.
Oysters were fantastic….swordfish was out of this world…great bar service a d wine list.
I absolutely love it here. We got the small seafood tower and a couple glasses of wine. The recommendations were all outstanding, can't wait to come back!
Love this place. Both the food and service are excellent.
Oysters are unbelievably good!
Too cramped. Very loud. Tiny four tops. Main entrees were good not great. Oysters were great.
Best food in town!
Restaurant has a wonderful vibe and food is excellent!
We had a fantastic meal.
They have a wide selection of fresh, cold, best quality oysters from both coasts & Canada, shucked to perfection with great sauces. Great service, knowledgeable wine assistance and good vibe. Indoor opposite bar seating a little tight for 4.
Ceviche was overrated , it should have been much better compared to other food served.
Excellent, fresh food. Wonderful service, very accommodating with dietary restrictions.
Sat outside. Great waiter and accommodating service. Oysters were the star. Fish was solid. Maine uni delicious. Expected a little more for price, nothing outstanding. But overall good time.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Boston, never had a bad experience in at least a half dozen visits
Waitress was awesome, very helpful and informative, the staff was very accommodating to my injury, super friendly, and attentive to my needs. Food was phenomenal. Couldn’t have been a better experience honestly. Thank you
We sat at the bar and Ben gave us outstanding service. He was attentive and knowledgeable and the fresh seafood was incredible. We enjoyed every starter and the raw oysters were delectable. The restaurant does an amazing job of serving the fresh items very chilled, which was refreshing.
Sat at the bar. Outstanding, knowledgeable service from Ben. Shrimp and oysters were outstanding. Jonah crab salad had shells in every bite and the lobster salad had cartilage in it although it was supposed to be “dressed.” And no matter how much butter you drown the lobster in, if it’s dry and overcooked to begin with, it doesn’t help much. I’d like to think this was an exception, but Sunday, 8/22, was a really inexcusably bad day in the kitchen.
Love the food however, the drinks for the prices are all crushed ice no drink. Asked to have less ice in my drink which is served in a lowball glass & my drink came less then half full in the glass. Dine out on a regular basis & have never received a drink in a lowball glass that is served less then half full - by the way it was a mezcal margarita??
When most of your entrees on the menu are $40 plus & house cocktails are $15 this is unacceptable.
Pricey. Limited choices in the menu.
Everything that we ordered was flawless, from the oysters to the appetizers to the main courses. Superb, fresh seafood prepared with love. Wonderful service and pleasant atmosphere. Definitely a little more pricey than I’d like but I guess you have to step up if you want the best!
Service and ambiance was amazing. The raw seafood was fresh and delicious and drinks were great! Some of the apps and mains were too salty.
Sea bream was excellent. $58 for a so-so ribeye was excessive. The halibut sauce was watery. Swordfish didn’t taste fresh.
This review isn’t simple. Food was excellent. We had the lobster salad and the halibut. Wine was excellent as well. The reason I gave the restaurant a 4 instead of a 5 was two factors:
-price. I thought $40-$50 for an entree was a bit excessive and over by about $10
-mask-less. Our server was maskless (as were all other servers that I saw).
Delicious food, excellent wine, exceptional service. Dining outside was great; inside looked "closer than comfortable" for these times. Prices are fine for special occasions, but a little high for frequent return visits. Overall I would recommend.
Good service. Fish was outstanding as always, but all (but the uni dish) were borderline-unpleasantly acidic - menu could do with more balance. Great spot, but probably overpriced.
We sat at the bar with Alejandro serving us. He was wonderful with his recommendations. Food could not be better. We had octopus and mussels starter, enough for a meal for one, and Halibut. YUM! Would love a cushioned bar seat, and maybe back support, but ignored that due to distraction of having a wonderful dinner experience.
I have so many great things to say about this amazing restaurant! Every dish we’ve had here — during the two times that my family and I have been — has been outstanding. The “wines by the glass” list is wonderful and interesting, and the service is always 100%! One of the co-owners was our server the first time we were in, and he was so enthusiastic and thrilled that we were there, it really made us feel like we were making a difference. I love this place, and I wish we had a neighborhood joint like this (also a perfect destination resto!) where we live in San Francisco. My favorite is the Dressed Lobster with Fresh Herbs. It’s magnificent! Go there!!!
So not worth it
We loved our experience over all! Our bartender was amazing and so was the food!
Unfortunately, there was a large and obnoxious party behind us that made it a little hard for us to hear each other talk.
