Thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. One vegetarian who was delighted with his meal. I do recommend checking menu on line ahead as it changes weekly and selections are limited . All courses included for the price.
This is a long -time family favorite - I still wonder how we found it years ago! Wonderful ambiance, good food, great service. Worth the drive to Greene.
Food was ok but the noise level from one of the tables did not make it a quiet dinner time for us
Excellent food, excellent service, great atmosphere
Have enjoyed this place for years. I only wish that I had checked the bill before I left. I was charged for a shrimp cocktail that they were bringing around and offering to the tables. We politely declined as we usually need to be rolled out of this place by the end of the meal. My bad...I'll blame it on the cocktails.
Not as good as it was last time we went. Owe received good service but the food was not up to expectations.
A truly unique multi-course dining experience. We enjoyed a leisurely couple of hours enjoying great service and round after round of expertly prepared courses topped off by a gourmet dessert. Highly recommend!
Delicious food during a romantic dinner. It is in a perfect country location. Janet was a great waitress working by herself and made every customer feel welcome.
My absolute favorite restaurant. The food is always fabulous and prefer Sedgley’s over any place else
Great service in all areas. My seafood crepe was not all that tasty.
Food was amazing, Chelsea our waitress was very attentive and informative. We also had a scenic view out in the back room, we saw three deer walking around. We have been going to Sedgley Place for many years and have always enjoyed. We also enjoyed lunch at Easter this year.
The ham meal was so tender and flavorful!!
Would recommend for a special time out as a couple or with friends. New owners are very nice.
Took my wife for her birthday and it was more than expected as far as service and quality of food!!
Our server "Chelsea" was very nice and was very informative and was accurate on her descriptions of food and predictions of what we might like!
This is a restaurant where you go and are not in a hurry, the courses are timely and warm and the meats were cooked as requested.
The food was good but the service was very slow. The inside of the restaurant was very chilly we had to eat with our outdoor jackets on. There was a lot of time between courses of food we were there for over 2.5 hours
The atmosphere is so relaxing and cozy. The wait staff is very attentive. The food is always delicious!!! Such a wonderful place to take your special someone.
Very disappointed. I heard this was going to be a fine dining experience.
Anything but. Mariners seafood dish was supposed to have scallops. There was ONLY 2 small pieces of lobster, the rest fish. Tasted OK, just not what menu said.
Secondly, there was a family with a number of small children. Each one was running by our table, multiple times, running to bathroom. Our table would jiggle each time a child ran by.
I will not return, nor would I recommend.
As always, a lovely meal with many local features in a beautiful setting.
We were a little disappointed with our waitress. Chelsea seemed to be busy doing other things. If it wasn't for a waiter there, we may not have gotten our food. With that being said, the temperature of our food was lukewarm. Which is not the norm there.
My husband and I enjoyed our meal very much. The atmosphere is charming and the food excellent. The presentation is wonderful. The service excellent. I would recommend it over
and over again!
Have been coming for several years on our anniversary, felt very rush this year, the courses came out too fast. Would have liked them spread out a bit more. Food was good, but too much dressing on the salads.
Always our "special occasion" place to enjoy delicious cusine
French food and wine tasting, food was outstanding, and the wine pairings were too!
We had decided to try the Sunday brunch as a late Valentines meal due to my fiance was having surgery the next day and we had decided to wait till he could walk again. I was very disappointed with the food. We have dined in for dinner before and the dinner had been awesome and assumed the Brunch would have the same quality of cooking and food; but the brunch was disappointing. There was supposed to be baked haddock with lobster sauce and when we went to get some it was just salty haddock in fish liquid, no creamy sauce to go on it, the beef stew tasted like a bouillon cube, the chicken Marsala was dry due to the rice being on the bottom of the pan and absorbed all the sauce, the Caesar salad was wilted and there pastry selection was very minimal, and they only offered 3 desserts. Also trying to lift covers and hold them while you tried to put food on your plate was annoying and my fiance had had knee replacement and was becoming frustrated trying to get his food. The egg station was good and cook friendly, waitress was friendly.
A nice old fashioned restaurant. Fun to get all 5 courses if you have the time. I was a little disappointed in the food. Salad wasn't great; My filet seemed like it was baked-not broiled. the vegetables were very well prepared and tasty as was the twice baked potato. My son said the fish special was very good and my husband was very happy with his prime rib.
It had been quite some time since I've been to Sedgley's Place and from what I had recalled it was a total experience and absolutely worth the price. I was disappointed to find the food to be standard, nothing notable for the atmosphere and the server had very little knowledge of the menu or wine options. The new owner met us at the door on the way out, which was nice, we absolutely wished her the best with the new business. We hope this is just a tough transition that they'll work through quickly. We do feel that in this day and age with new restaurants popping up everywhere there needs to be some work done on reinventing the menu, atmosphere and time training staff to be prepared for questions and recommendations. I would like to hear of a grand reopening of sorts so that we're able to give them another chance to reinvent what used to be a hidden gem!
Second time dining with Sedgley Place. Was well worth the drive of close to an hour. Went for a Birthday dinner this time. Champagne was requested. Champagne on the table and chilled when we arrived. No waiting. Reservations are suggested and encouraged. Menu varies from week to week with the Prime Rib always in attendance on the Menu. I had short ribs, could not finish so much on the plate. With went with the Prime Rib, took most of it home. Son and his Fiance' had the Filet Mignon. Both their first time there. Definitely would recommend this for special occasions.
The food was delicious, beautifully plated and there was a good selection. The service was fantastic! Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Great atmosphere, charming setting and delicious food. Can't wait until next time.
We loved the food - so much of it and so delicious! At the end of the meal we were told about the list of desserts that were offered. However, we were too full to even take one. What we didn't know was that the dessert was included as part of the price of the meal!! I only wish the waitress would have told us that we could have taken it home with us. When I got back to my parents house (we had been visiting from out of state), they asked me if we had the dessert and we said no. Then they asked us if we brought it home - we had no idea we could have done that. Needless to say I was disappointed that had not been relayed to us. Hopefully this does not happen to a lot of other guests.
Wonderful ambiance great food and good service. The venue is a nice quite place for a dinner with the one you love.
Excellant! Would highly recommend Sedgley Place. Wonderful food and service.
Always a great time, great food, and best peanut butter pie!!
We had the 5 course meal and went for the better meat options. The food, all of it, was phenomenal! It's a little out of the way, and expensive for the area, but it was a great time and we'd do it again. Service left much to be improved upon. The entree's starch options could have been better, but it was still 5 star.
Our favorite restaurant my whole family loves this place! Food is outstanding!
But it’s not a place if you’re in rush , plan for two hours for five course meals. Well worth it!
Excellent food and superb service, the farm to table menu is delicious and not overwhelming and our service was impeccable. Thanks again Sedgely for a wonderful dining experience.
Seating was right on time, food was excellent as usual, service was good. Not rushed to finished. If this was a bit less pricey, we would eat there more often.
Always a great meal with outstanding service.
I have never been disappointed when I go to Sedgely Inn. The place is beautiful, close to us, and the food is amazing. We had some noisy intoxicated people near us at first this time, but they soon left and then it was quiet. Our server was efficient and got everything perfect for our birthday celebration. :-)
We had such an amazing time. We hadn't ever been there before and found everyone so sweet. They all seemed to really enjoy their jobs. They graciously answered any questions we had. We would definitely come again!
Obe my all time favorite places. I have never been let down. Perfect relaxing dinner with family while my son and his girlfriend were home from college. A+++ on everything. Our waitress was excellent
The food was really good the people setting behind us were loud. The service was a little slow. But over all we had a nice evening and the food was excellent
