View Private Dining DetailsVery happy with the food and service.
Have been going to the Seaview Sunday Brunch for many years through various ownership and have never been disappointed. The selection, quality service and ambiance are always to a high standard, and they did a notably good job of rearranging the seating areas to accommodate the larger Easter crowd without disrupting from the service or comfort. While a bit pricey - especially with the elevated fare due to the holiday - it is always a pleasant "special occasion" event and a top-notch brunch buffet with plenty of choices and variety.
Sunday Brunch at Seaview is great. It has become our family annual gathering in this wonderful classic grand setting rarely found elewhere. Endless mimosas, carving stations, and showtunes by a very good pianist makes for a very special time at a very affordable price. Well worth the trip.
My family haven’t been to Seaview Country Club in years. We recently attended Sunday Brunch for my mother-in-laws birthday. Thank you Seaview for wonderful food and service!! We will be back soon
Our main server, Lita, and the whole staff made for a wonderful celebration of my Father’s 90th Birthday - absolutely terrific occasion
Relaxing and elegant, Seaview's Sunday brunch is an event to look forward to. In the middle of a hectic workshop/convention, it was a nice treat to sit and eat delicious food and let the staff spoil you. It was thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying.
I've been to Seaview's Seafood Night's during the summer several times and always give it two major thumbs up. My latest experience with the Southern Seafood Night was just as good getting two major thumbs up. The Staff from the Host/Hostess down to the bus boys and everyone in between are always very friendly and nice. I'd like to point out a Chef named 'Morgan' who remembered me from a previous visit and pointed it out to me. She is a real sweetheart and is always friendly and polite. i look forward to my next dining experience there.
Birthday celebration
We attended the Seafood Buffet in the summer and it was fantastic so we decided to try the Southern Seafood Buffet thinking it would be very good as well. Unfortunately this buffet missed the mark. It was not as expensive as the seafood buffet in the summer and therefore we were not expecting it to be as grand either but it was just disappointing.
1. The buffet was very small 2. Everything tasted the same - all creole - everything. 3. There was simply not enough selection for everyone, meaning a few somewhat "plain" items should accompany the buffet, i.e. maybe just simple steamed shrimp, baked potato bar, etc.. 4. The scallops were horrible - they were so over seasoned and sautéed in so much butter that we could not eat them. The brisket was good but again, offer something a bit less seasoned. 5. Dessert was possibly the biggest disappointment of all - it was an after thought. The bananas foster was very good but the other 2 offerings were just fine, not to mention the set up was less then memorable. 6. To charge for coffee is ridiculous - $2.50 for a cup of coffee, come on now.
7. The servers were really attentive and nice however not one time did a "manager" come by or even stand at the entrance/exit to see how everything was. You would think since this was a new type of buffet Seaview was offering, management would be interested in knowing what people liked, did not like and what they could be better. Additionally, there were a couple of sous chefs walking around checking food, etc but not one time did any of them ask "how is everything or "are you enjoying the food" - maybe management really doesn't want to know......
Having said all this overall I would rate our dining experience a C. It would be a C - but not for the really well trained floor staff.
We had an amazing Christmas Eve dinner there and the food was amazing and the ambience and service were impeccable.. Highly recommend !!
Came here with my husband and parents for their Champagne Sunday Brunch! It was a great meal with outstanding service and lots of food options! We were a smaller group of 4 so got to sit by the window, however, the whole room is very bright and welcoming!
For breakfast options, there were your starters: eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, selections of cereals, oatmeal with various toppings, and fresh fruit. For lunch, there was a salad station, seafood selections, and a prime rib carving station. Do not forget about the desserts! There was bread pudding, bananas foster, apple cobbler, and many petite desserts.
I highly recommend making reservations, and going to this brunch! Very affordable, and bottomless champagne or mimosas!
The absolute best brunch hands down. Worth the hour drive
Service was exceptional except the server brought our check before we were done brunch and without our asking for it. We had a late reservation and clearly we were being rushed.
The menu changes slightly week to week. The piano was very nice but too loud for conversation if sitting close. Wait staff were very attentive. Marcus is my favorite so far. Valet parking is included in Sunday Brunch. It is a bit pricey but the food is excellent. There is no where else where I can eat a little of a lot. Prime rib, ham, shrimp, salads, veggies, omelettes made to order, crispy bacon.
We had brunch and I have to say this was by far the best value for a brunch I have ever had. The food was excellent. A large variety of options. The omelet station was great. Our waitress could not have been better. There were 4 of us and we all agreed we would be back !!
Sterling ambiance, attentive service, well prepared food, unique choices at brunch as well as reasonably priced.
We had a reservation. When we got there the hostess said it was busy and they over seated walk in's. We would have to wait. We complained. They said earlier reservations were still waiting. Then they said they only had one table because we had a small party. The table was very small and it was stuck near a service hutch. Bussed food kept falling on one of my guests and a server dropped a meat cleaver that another one of my guests had to pull out of the floor. We never got 1 of the drinks we ordered and other guests kept banging into the table when walking by. This was comical. We are repeat customers and the food was very good, But this was a very disappointing experience.
That was roughly the 6th time my family and I dined at the Seafood Buffet and truly enjoyed it. The food is excellent and the price is well worth the value of the many options to choose from. I've been to many buffet's over the past but none compare to yours .. its the only one that offers Alaskan King Crab as opposed to Snow Crab. Bravo .. we look forward to next years Seafood Buffet*
The food was delicious, and the presentation along with the revenue was impeccable.
Piano was too loud and he played only about 5 songs. Food was good, good/large selection, crab cakes were delicious! Definitely has something for everyone. Way overpriced for NJ and the area. The cleanliness needs some work-forks, knives, and cups were all dirty and had to be replaced prior to eating..
Our Servers were excellent; however, the hostess was not friendly and somewhat cold which is not the type of person who should be the greeter since they represent the establishment. This was our first time visiting this establishment so it is not the kind of impression you want a person to walk away with. The food was good and our servers were attentive. The alcoholic beverage was horrible. Did not taste like an pomegranate margarita at all.
The atmosphere was great had family from out of State that came to visit, they really enjoyed the food and the service. Will be seeing you again soon.
The waiter was a real gem, Lionel made our special night complete when he brought a special anniversary plate to us of treats. Food was fantastic, friendly staff and very attention detailed wait staff.
Disappointed in the quality of food. Lobster was unedible! Not worth the money for the quality.
Even though we went to the seafood buffet, it would have been nice to have at least one more entre for land lovers. The roast beef was good, maybe a pasta dish too.
Lovely atmosphere, excellent food and great service. A great dining experience!
we had a damn annoying fly at our table for like 80 % of our meal
The food was excellent. The king crab legs were delicious and plentiful. The desserts were all delicious and we sampled most. All items were kept well stocked, which is a great improvement from last year. The service was...pitiful. Thankfully someone placed water on our table while we were at the buffet. After 40 minutes we finally stopped someone and asked for an iced tea. Another 20 minutes passed and we asked someone else how do we get a lobster. About 20 minutes more passed and we were told there was a mix-up and someone entered the order. We never had a server that I know of, kind of annoying I remember the service was lacking last year as well. When you are paying close to $60 a plate and sadly you truly receive better service at Golden Corral. The ladies bathroom was overflowing and for some reason they did not close it or put up a sign. I went to report the issue and the girl at the front desk was yelling at someone on the phone and gen told me they were aware of the problem. There were several dirty dishes on the bar and there was a hair on the drawn butter dish that was there for at least three of my trips to the buffet. Food is excellent all else is fair at best.
Seafood Buffet is the best in our local area with plenty of choices, attentive service and comfortable seating.
We were very disappointed this time with our meal. The dayboat scallops and crab were delicious. I very much enjoyed the lemon oregano dressing and salad bar. We thought the prime rib was very tough and almost inedible. The lobster was also very disappointing. Very tough and flavorless. Our server explained that we would get one lobster each.
The table next to us each were served 3 lobsters and had a take out container??? We will not return
I went to the seafood buffet with a group of friends. The restaurant only does it on Thursday nights 5p -9p during summer months. The price is a little steep $60 plus tax and gratitude per person. But the food was delicious especially the scallops cooked perfectly. You get 1 whole lobster each which was cut to make it easier. Many salads. Soup lobster bisque was phenomenal. Shrimp, oysters, mussels , Alaskan king crab legs and so much more. If you enjoy seafood it is a perfect dinner.
For the most part the experience was positive. When our lobsters arrived, one was set on the table and the other one was dropped, hitting my mother's shoulder. The server was very apolegetic, and rushed back to the kitchen to get my lobster. At no time did the room manager come over to see if my mother was okay. The restaurant made no attempt to ensure that she wasn't burned or hurt in any way.
The seafood buffet used to be a summer highlight but the quality has gone way down. We would take visiting friends and relatives there and they would rave about the food. Now It's the equivalent of a chain restaurant buffet. Terrible!
The seafood buffet is excellent with many different varieties of seafood. My only criticism would be that there were not many options for non-seafood lovers. The prime rib was excellent but that was about it except for salads and dessert. Also I would like to see some additional side dishes such as different types of potatoes, maybe a pasta without seafood, rice, etc.
Food is good buffet fare. A lot of items are gone and VERY slow to refill. Great variety. Servers have too many tables and struggle to keep tables clear of used dishes. King crab legs get smaller each time I go. Scallops very good. Dessert variety not great and popular items go fast and are not refilled.
Amazing food!!!! Can't wait to go again. Seafood galore!!!
We had an amazing time listening to the piano and taking our time at lunch. We had excellent service, food and a view. Everything was wonderful!
Food was awesome, service just ok. Not bad just not attentive. Never asked for more drinks and water glass sat empty. Would definitely return for the food, hoping that the servers just had a bad night.
Have enjoyed dining at Seaview whether it is Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, or just their Sunday Brunch. Consistent good service and good. I also want to compliment the piano player on Sunday, July 2nd. He played the entire time during the brunch with no break. How often do you see that!!! Great job.
Everything was excellent, especially those scallops!
