While we had a great time and our server was fantastic, the food was not as good as in the past. We went to the seafood buffet on Thursday with brunch on the following Sunday. The seafood buffet was fantastic! Saw too many repeats or what seemed like repurposed leftovers at the brunch. Was also disappointed that the brunch did not have a pasta station.
The food was excellent and plentiful. Everything was fresh and always being attended to. Our server Manuel was very nice and friendly. We went for sunday brunch and noon was a great time to go. Our Wedding reception will be there in November and looking forward to it. Thank you Seaview
The worst hostess I have ever seen. Food and atmosphere was really good.
The selection of seafood was overwhelming in a good way. They have everything for every decerning taste. Our waitress was awesome! Very knowledgeable and very warm. She even arranged for the other staff members to sing for us for our 26th wedding anniversary. She also packed our dessert very nicely for takeout. We love her!!
I have enjoyed dining at Seaview for 3 years. There seems to be less seafood this year and the crab legs were not as large as in the past. I was extremely upset when our waiter told us that we had to pay in cash because their credit card machine was not working. Their ATM was not compatible with my bank so I was charged a fee to withdraw cash. Not a good way to end an evening!
Went for a special occasion. Enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent. The only improvement needed was their desserts. The tasting size was fine as then one could try several. The issue was they were not worth the calories. Little flavor. The one exception would be the peach/blueberry cobbler.
Our waiter was extremely accommodating, pleasant, attentive...most of.the food was very good, except for the crabcakes,,,,,terrible, frankly....all filler,,,very little crabmeat, which was shredded ,,,no lump what so ever,,,,the soup was nothing to write about either, sadly to say...not very good lobster bisque,,,,
The dining room is so beautiful. The food and help is fantastic.
Consistently good food, good service, good atmosphere. Highly recommend.
We have been planning to try the Thursday night Seafood buffet for over a year! When we realized that it worked out to be on our Anniversary, we thought that it would be the perfect setting! The seafood buffet was excellent, the carving station with prime rib and scallops was wonderful, the salad buffet was fresh and had more seafood choices, the tableside lobster was a treat, and the key lime tartlets were the best finish! Although the drive from our home was three hours, it was worth the trip! Our travel home was much faster and we saw a beautiful sunset as well! We will definitely be back!
We had been wanting to try the seafood buffet on Thursday nights for quite some time; having gone to the breakfast buffets many times, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. the reviews for the seafood buffet were somewhat mixed but we went ahead and decided to do a friend's 60th birthday party there.
not enough staff was the main observation.. everything from cocktails, lobsters to Coffee took at least a half an hour to 45 minutes after requested. The displays are not overly extravagant ..I believe they order what they think they will need.. what there was was well-prepared there were snow crab legs, oysters on the half shell ,peel and eat shrimp, swordfish in a pineapple sauce which I did not care for prime rib assorted sides no potatoes ..the Cajun Crawfish cold salad was very good the crab claws were small but good.. the soup was some kind of seafood bisque I believe they use fish stock so it had a fishy undertone didn't care for that . a little surprised that there were no clams on the half shell.. at $59 a person I was not wowed service was a big factor just not enough servers.. I was somewhat embarrassed and went to the podium to voice my concerns we will not be doing the seafood buffet again nor will any of our party.
We had a 1:30 reservation for Father's Day. The food was cold and the last of the day. There wasn't anyone behind the carving station and waffle station. We essentially had cold leftovers. A few pieces of food in each of the hot entres. Some of the desserts were empty. The service was good. Was supposed to be a special day. I was apologizing to my family for recommending the brunch.
Fathers Day Brunch was amazing!!
Sunday Brunch is a winner. Great food, attentive wait staff and a great value.
Love the decor and ambiance of this historical golf resort. Excellent, very attentive service from several staff members. Mimosa glasses were continuously filled. Excellent array of food choices, nothing any of us had was disappointing.
The food, service and selection was outstanding. Will be coming back soon.
Went here for my 21st birthday for their Sunday brunch and was very impressed. The endless mimosas were definitely a perk. All of the food was delicious and they had a good selection. Would definitely go back!
This was a great dining experience! We stopped in for brunch on our way home from a friends birthday weekend. The food was delicious. The servers were fantastic and fun!! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a Sunday brunch spot!
Great Sunday brunch- very extensive and plentiful. Recommend for food and value !
We went for the Thursday seafood buffet. Food used to be great but we were really disappointed. Really nothing to brag about. Service was wonderful. Ambience was great. We were there to celebrate my Mother’s 100th birthday even though she’s no longer with us. We had been taking her there for the last ten years of her life to celebrate it and have continued since she passed 7 1/2 years ago.
We have eaten at the Seaview brunch many times in addition to holding a wedding reception for one of our daughters there. The food is always good and the ambiance has been lovely. However, this time, the room was packed with an exceptionally noisy crowd. It is not something that the restaurant could control, but screaming at the person across the table ruins the get together. The piano player and the buffet were moved to the foyer to make more room for tables. There was no need for the piano player to be in the main room anyhow. A rock band would not have been heard over the screaming diners. The staff is was exceptionally friendly and attentive, despite the fact that it must have been stressful for them. The buffet was stocked with hot food, even at the end of the serving time. I will be disappointed if this is to become the norm. Before I would go again, I would ask if they are "sold out," because the room cannot handle the noise level.
We met friends for Brunch because Mother's Day was too hectic....this was perfect. A wedding was leaving while we waited and they seemed to have had one heck of a time, another couple got married and had their wedding brunch on the other side of the room all while regular customers were doing their Sunday Brunch thing...it was great. The food was tremendous!
Food is always good and service is usually great. Wasn't impressed with our Mother's Day brunch waiter and for the price, the service should be amazing. Had to ask for water refills; never offered drink orders - had to keep asking. Had to ask for bill. Hard to get waiter's attention. Must have been an 'off' day though because we usually go for Easter, Thanksgiving and other holidays and the service is usually outstanding. Bus service was great - cleared plates quickly.
I have stayed at the Seaview Resort several times, but always opted to dine in the Grill Room instead of the main dining room. However, when looking for a location to celebrate my Mother's 90th Birthday with Sunday Brunch, our research led us to the Seaview. It could not have turned out better. The server was attentive and pleasant throughout. There was a wide array of foods to choose from, including a carving station, omelette/waffle station, salads, seafood items, and breakfast items. There was also no shortage of delicious treats waiting (or not) for dessert.
Thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Excellent waiters.
Very happy with the food and service.
Have been going to the Seaview Sunday Brunch for many years through various ownership and have never been disappointed. The selection, quality service and ambiance are always to a high standard, and they did a notably good job of rearranging the seating areas to accommodate the larger Easter crowd without disrupting from the service or comfort. While a bit pricey - especially with the elevated fare due to the holiday - it is always a pleasant "special occasion" event and a top-notch brunch buffet with plenty of choices and variety.
Sunday Brunch at Seaview is great. It has become our family annual gathering in this wonderful classic grand setting rarely found elewhere. Endless mimosas, carving stations, and showtunes by a very good pianist makes for a very special time at a very affordable price. Well worth the trip.
My family haven’t been to Seaview Country Club in years. We recently attended Sunday Brunch for my mother-in-laws birthday. Thank you Seaview for wonderful food and service!! We will be back soon
Our main server, Lita, and the whole staff made for a wonderful celebration of my Father’s 90th Birthday - absolutely terrific occasion
Relaxing and elegant, Seaview's Sunday brunch is an event to look forward to. In the middle of a hectic workshop/convention, it was a nice treat to sit and eat delicious food and let the staff spoil you. It was thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying.
I've been to Seaview's Seafood Night's during the summer several times and always give it two major thumbs up. My latest experience with the Southern Seafood Night was just as good getting two major thumbs up. The Staff from the Host/Hostess down to the bus boys and everyone in between are always very friendly and nice. I'd like to point out a Chef named 'Morgan' who remembered me from a previous visit and pointed it out to me. She is a real sweetheart and is always friendly and polite. i look forward to my next dining experience there.
We attended the Seafood Buffet in the summer and it was fantastic so we decided to try the Southern Seafood Buffet thinking it would be very good as well. Unfortunately this buffet missed the mark. It was not as expensive as the seafood buffet in the summer and therefore we were not expecting it to be as grand either but it was just disappointing.
1. The buffet was very small 2. Everything tasted the same - all creole - everything. 3. There was simply not enough selection for everyone, meaning a few somewhat "plain" items should accompany the buffet, i.e. maybe just simple steamed shrimp, baked potato bar, etc.. 4. The scallops were horrible - they were so over seasoned and sautéed in so much butter that we could not eat them. The brisket was good but again, offer something a bit less seasoned. 5. Dessert was possibly the biggest disappointment of all - it was an after thought. The bananas foster was very good but the other 2 offerings were just fine, not to mention the set up was less then memorable. 6. To charge for coffee is ridiculous - $2.50 for a cup of coffee, come on now.
7. The servers were really attentive and nice however not one time did a "manager" come by or even stand at the entrance/exit to see how everything was. You would think since this was a new type of buffet Seaview was offering, management would be interested in knowing what people liked, did not like and what they could be better. Additionally, there were a couple of sous chefs walking around checking food, etc but not one time did any of them ask "how is everything or "are you enjoying the food" - maybe management really doesn't want to know......
Having said all this overall I would rate our dining experience a C. It would be a C - but not for the really well trained floor staff.
We had an amazing Christmas Eve dinner there and the food was amazing and the ambience and service were impeccable.. Highly recommend !!
Came here with my husband and parents for their Champagne Sunday Brunch! It was a great meal with outstanding service and lots of food options! We were a smaller group of 4 so got to sit by the window, however, the whole room is very bright and welcoming!
For breakfast options, there were your starters: eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, selections of cereals, oatmeal with various toppings, and fresh fruit. For lunch, there was a salad station, seafood selections, and a prime rib carving station. Do not forget about the desserts! There was bread pudding, bananas foster, apple cobbler, and many petite desserts.
I highly recommend making reservations, and going to this brunch! Very affordable, and bottomless champagne or mimosas!
The absolute best brunch hands down. Worth the hour drive
Service was exceptional except the server brought our check before we were done brunch and without our asking for it. We had a late reservation and clearly we were being rushed.
The menu changes slightly week to week. The piano was very nice but too loud for conversation if sitting close. Wait staff were very attentive. Marcus is my favorite so far. Valet parking is included in Sunday Brunch. It is a bit pricey but the food is excellent. There is no where else where I can eat a little of a lot. Prime rib, ham, shrimp, salads, veggies, omelettes made to order, crispy bacon.
We had brunch and I have to say this was by far the best value for a brunch I have ever had. The food was excellent. A large variety of options. The omelet station was great. Our waitress could not have been better. There were 4 of us and we all agreed we would be back !!
