A delicious buffet, excellent service
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Food was hot, plentiful and delicious. There was no wait time at the serving tables. I can’t say enough about the desserts. The desserts were fabulous with something to please everyone. Variety abounded and some interesting never tried before temptations.
My only issue was the noise level. It was quite loud when we came in, and it did settle down after a few minutes. Of course there is nothing Seaview can do about loud inconsiderate patrons! The pianist was enough to make most of the noise bearable! Would like to try their Sunday brunch sometime.
Thanksgiving Day buffet was a hit with the Mom and my hubby. Only drawback was the dreadfully loud piano music in the main area. We got to sit in the round room and it was much better in there.
Best brunch in south jersey. Good food. Good people. Makes me wish I had a second stomach.
Loved but it was loud on Sunday afternoon with the piano player - he was exceptional but I think they could move him out into the dessert room & we'd still enjoy just fine? We could hear that way without having to shout over at the table.
The service was excellent.
So glad to see the newly renovated hotel and the Sunday brunch is back. Great food unique and elegant atmosphere. Family favorite over last 20 years
We were at the Seaview for our anniversary for two nights and aside from the views and accommodations I think my husband most looks forward to the breakfast. We enjoyed our time there as usual. Will definitely recommend.
We had a great time as usual for our anniversary. The Seaview never disappoints. The food was fresh and plentiful.
We were there for our anniversary and the Seaview never disappoints. Service was great. Breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful
Great food and atmosphere! Will be back soon. Thanks for a great experience.
Food was very good. A couple items were below average such as the seafood paella and another rice dish with fish that was available. Both items had zero flavor. Everything else offered was above average and worth the $70 per person price. The seared scallops over corn salsa was absolutely delicious! The crab soup was too thick for my taste but was pretty good overall and full of lump crab. The hotel was absolutely beautiful as well as the main dining room. The service was excellent and very attentive to your needs. The desserts were homemade and phenomenal! The desserts were worth the price alone. One more issue that I noticed was that some of the plates were dirty and still had dried food on them which was not very appealing. But all in all I recommend this place and will be returning next year. Overall a great experience! They also do brunch every Sunday for $30 a person which includes some of the items that were available at the seafood buffet. I will be going for brunch next time I’m in AC.
Didn’t get one
In comparison to past years, the selection of offerings has really diminished but the price has remained the same so I don’t think it’s worth the effort to travel there just for the buffet.
I literally have nothing bad to say about the Seaview. Who could resist an incredible buffet, in a picturesque setting with attentive service? Highly recommended for special occasions or simply everyday dining. Looking forward to our next visit!
This was our third visit to the Thursday evening seafood buffet, very disappointing. The crab legs were so thin and the meat was so stringy, made it very difficult to eat. The lobster was mushy And the topping of tiny shrimp and scallops in cream sauce was not tasty. But the most disappointing aspect about the evening was the renovation of the lobby as you walk in. We knew there was going to be renovations but we thought it was going to be the same elegant look, With all it’s Victorian charm. That was not the case, it’s more modern, furniture is not comfortable at all. I don’t know what the newly renovated rooms look like since we did not stay there this time. Not sure if I’ll be going back.
Alittle confusing to get checked in. A long line which was a bit annoying. Felt like a cattle herd
But Marko and Lionel were wonderful severs Nice added touch with the piano playing
Restocking you had to wait a bit but there was so much selection it didn’t matter. And I’m not one for buffets but well executed. Line for omelets was a bit long but didn’t bother since there was so much to select
Would definitely return
I have been going to this seafood buffet since it started many years ago. I was always impressed despite the yearly price increases. Initially it had unlimited lobsters and was less than $40 per person - fantastic deal. As the price increased, the management limited the lobsters to 1 per person. The buffet food has always been very good and they used to let you take a lobster home if you didn't get to it during your meal. Then there was this year. The price is now $70 per person. The buffet is 1/2 the size it used to be and the lobster you get is a 1/2 lobster ( maybe a 1 lb lobster ) that is filled with bay scallops and tiny shrimp in a cream sauce. I was less than impressed. There was a total of 4 of us that night, we did not add any alcohol to our bill and it was $300 without the tip. We were all disappointed and sadly will not be returning after at least 10 years of attending this event.
We were so delighted the seafood buffet was coming back to the Seaview. The additional cost was of no consequence and we were looking forward to a scrumptious dinner . Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Most of the selection was good. However, in our opinion , the Alaskan Crab Legs were of low quality; extremely watery and tasteless. Our experience based on previous years was quite a harsh let down. I don't think we'll be coming back.
I used to go to the Thursday night Seafood Buffet several times a year. It was $45 pp in 2016 and has been slowing going up in price since. Now it’s $70 pp and the quality has gone down significantly. We will not be going back.
You no longer get a full lobster, only a half lobster thays stuffed. The stuffing is made of scallops the size of mini marshmallows and tiny little shrimp. It was disgusting and the baking of the dish causes the lobster meat to shrivel and become nearly impossible to remove from its shell.
The main dining room has been somewhat updated and the dessert table is the same. The crab cakes were as good as ever but its remoulade was way too spicy. The crab legs were hit or miss. They used to all be huge, but half of the batch were very tiny. You had to wait until they refilled them to pick through and get some of the big legs.
The scallops are now served one at a time on a bed of smoked corn that overpowers the flavor of the scallops. Who serves scallops at a buffet one at a time?! The mussels were okay, but on the small side. Most of the clams were closed, but the cooks didn’t even notice. The lobster bisque is now gone and has been replaced by a boring gazpacho. I don’t eat meat, but it looked okay. Several times I had to tell staff they were out of something.
The drinks were overpriced - 7-9 for a domestic draft beer and the wine and mixed drinks start at $12. Our lobsters took more than an hour because the kitchen didn’t have enough. The whole thing was a big disaster. Save yourself the time and money and go to one of the casino buffets instead.
Stopped for Sunday brunch on our way home from a visit to Atlantic City. Staff was extremely accommodating and the food was very good. Elegant atmosphere with a piano player. Free valet parking with brunch. We were glad we decided to go there instead of one of the casinos for brunch.
Tried the Seafood Buffet without first checking the price. While there was plenty of food, and some was very good, the overall value for $70 per person was sorely lacking at that price. In particular, for that price I might have expected peeled shrimp. Instead, my average size u-peel shrimp was actually bad: tasteless and soggy. I ate two pieces just to be sure...I would normally make almost a full meal of good shrimp. The mid-sized crab cakes were the best entree selection I could find. There a large assortment of very tasty desserts. At $45 per person, I would be taking a large party next week, as I have family in town. At $70, not a chance. I have a basis of comparison...4 years ago I was very delighted with the over all value received when I hosted my daughter’s wedding at Seaview...the guests raved at the food and I felt I paid well, but fairly. Not so with he Seafood buffet I am sorry to say. I will give credit to the friendly and courteous staff who made our evening enjoyable, if not satisfactory from a value perspective.
Lovely presentation, great selection and plenty of variety
Nice selection, meeting the needs of everyone in our party of 6. Meat station, omelet station, waffles, salad, pasta, seafood, breakfast meats and potato’s, desserts, fruit, cereal.
Love Seaview Sunday Brunch and Holiday Buffets - always a special dining experience. I was concerned that, under new owner/management, things might change and not for the better. However, that is not the case. Still wonderful. Please keep up the good work.
We had the Sunday brunch buffet. Excellent selections and everything was fresh.
The food can be spread out a little better. There were constant bottle necks.
The servers, Manny and Lionel were very attentive and friendly. The food was good as well.
Good good with good service on the brunch
Went to brunch food was good can't complain has a problem with the table talk to the Manger he took care of the problem.Told him to fix the open table because it was showing the seafood buffet on Thursday that they no longer have.Still hoping they bring it back.
Beautiful place for my family to have brunch, The food is always incredible! Shrimp cocktail(perfectly cooked), prime rib, waffles, endless bacon....
I have always truly loved the Seaview Sunday brunch buffet.
It has been a timeless classic with impeccable service, elegant and luxurious ambiance, and a stunning array of finely cooked dishes and desserts to accompany the breakfast items.
They just renovated the lobby and dining room turning this beautiful victorian setting to modern contemporary.
No more do linen table cloths cover the tables, no more fine dining ambiance, no more intimacy, no more impeccable care and service, and the food is decidedly and sadly more pedestrian than EVER before.
They moved the piano player out into the lobby!!!
They sat us out of order, we checked in 15 min early, yet they opened 25 min late!!!
Then they began seating folks who were just walking in, forgetting that there were about 25 people waiting already!!! Lots of upset people, complaints abounded.
The service was very slow, as if they had never done this before!!!
The food, sadly, was not up to standards. The cutting station was understaffed, the same guy making omelettes had to cover both the frying pans and cut meats. The omelettes were dry and he seemed very overwelmed. He was panicking clearly. The desserts were lackluster, a tray of cream puffs were frozen inside!!! And, get this....A SUNDAY BUFFET BRUNCH WITHOUT ANY, YES ANY BREAD ITEMS!!!!
I had to request a slice of bread, the server asked if a bagel would be ok, To which I replied a bagel would be incredible however there are none available for any of these customers to dine on!!!! He then disappeared, and came back a few minutes later with too mini bagels that he had scavenged from somewhere in the back!!!! At a brunch buffet?????!!!!
Ive been coming here for the incredible Seaview Sunday brunch for 20 years, and, sadly....this was NOT THAT!!!
Im truly disappointed, saddened , and upset.
Excellent meal, atmosphere, decor and service!!!! Would definitely do their brunch again
Beautiful Buffet, with a huge spread. The food was incredible!!! You can tell that fresh ingredients were used and wonderfully executed. Wonderful staff all around a GREAT experience!
My wife and I really enjoyed the food. The food variety enabled both of us to enjoy ourselves without compermize. We would definitely go back.
A few of us have been there before. Some of the group have not and they were very impressed and will recommend to family and friends.
We have been to the brunch many times and this time it seems they are cutting back on the foods they offer. Hardly any vegetables, Prime Rib way over cooked and a lot less food.
While we had a great time and our server was fantastic, the food was not as good as in the past. We went to the seafood buffet on Thursday with brunch on the following Sunday. The seafood buffet was fantastic! Saw too many repeats or what seemed like repurposed leftovers at the brunch. Was also disappointed that the brunch did not have a pasta station.
The food was excellent and plentiful. Everything was fresh and always being attended to. Our server Manuel was very nice and friendly. We went for sunday brunch and noon was a great time to go. Our Wedding reception will be there in November and looking forward to it. Thank you Seaview
The worst hostess I have ever seen. Food and atmosphere was really good.
