Went with the kids (from 10 yrs old to 19 yrs old) and they all loved it. Great variety for both adults and kids.
The hostess sweet but once we were seated the next point of contact asked us what we wanted to drink and then was not versed on Mimosas and acted very oddly making for an uncomfortable moment.... but then ENTER the Omelet Bar team. These ladies had us in smiles and giggles all while churning out 6 other egg dishes. I felt welcomed and at first wished the omelet bar offered table seating. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better our true server stopped by the table and Sammy had us at Hello! We appreciated his candor, banter, and overall amazing service style. He never stopped smiling (or filling up our glasses for that matter).
Food was great quality just wished here was a bit more variety but overall this really 5 Star morning!
I scored low for Easter Brunch. Food wasn't great, with limited breakfast type options. Mostly lunch items and way, way over priced for quality. Very disappointed.
Very good breakfast!
Accommodating service. Excellent food selections. Bottomless mamosas.
I stayed at the hotel and did the buffet every morning. Excellent food, great service, form the omelette chefs to the servers. Job well done!
Great service, good food and convenient location. Definitely a plus for the hotel. Thanks!!
The selection of foods for the price was not in alignment with the value. We could have had a great breakfast experience at a local establishment for half the money. Had we known they were going to tack on an additional 3% to cover the "pay increase" for their staff we would have gotten up and left. When you figure in the cost of the meal, parking, tip and the additional 3% for the pay increase it really put a cloud of pleasure on our experience. We will not be going back to Seaview anytime soon. They advertise as being one of the top 10 best brunches in San Diego.
I stayed at hotel for two nights and looked forward to having a grand buffet breakfast with my younger brother. It’s over-priced as for the selection of food and not-fancy-at-all view. Despite of what the restaurant is called, it doesn’t have any seaview. If you stay at hotel and want to have nice breakfast which warm you up with reasonable price, go to Richard Walker’s pancake house. I regretted not going to Richard’s twice instead of wasting my money on hotel buffet. And the female staff with blonde hair, braided hair was not friendly to an Asian tourist whose mother tongue is not English.
Everything was superb. Quality and service was excellent. Second year in a row and hope it is a family tradition. Christmas brunch at the Seaview is always a treat. 5 star all around!!
Great breakfast buffet at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Made to order omelettes and waffles.
Wonderful breakfast buffet and very high quality food. Lots of great fresh fruits. When you take into consideration the choices you get and the quality of food, it is very good value.
We had a family get-together breakfast the day after Thanksgiving. We made reservations and they had a table waiting for us. The place was great for breakfast. The service was good and with a smile. It was well worth the price.
We ate here for thanksgiving and everything I tried was very good. We sat outside which I found much nicer than the inside vibe. Inside seemed a bit crowded & noisy for me. Great buffet that I would highly recommend.
The thanksgiving buffet was wonderful and the dining staff was great! Could have more gluten and dairy free options but all together great!
An excellent experience for the third time at this restaurant with great food and awesome service!
Although the food was good and plentiful and the service was nice, there were so many children being allowed to run around that it just created a "zoo" atmosphere. The noise level was unreal, and ruined our Sunday brunch. The place is big enough for management to attempt to divide sections, but of course none is made, the main concern is to get in as many people as possible and ring up those $$! We won't be back.
Excellent food and service. Typical very large dining room in a hotel. Very little ambiance.
I thought the quality of the food was exceptional. I was a little disappointed at the lack of variety. I am health-conscious and vegetarian so finding healthy vegetarian options was hard but the things I could eat Were delicious. The other thing that was disappointing was a drink wasn't included. For $23 I think a coffee or orange juice should be included with your meal.
Arrived and seated on time for reservation. Server arrived after we sat with plate from buffet. Ordered water and coffee. Finished first plate of food no server anywhere. Went to front desk. Girl at from desk got us coffee and left an empty coffee pot at table. Server eventually came to table and we asked if he would leave a coffee pot for us (he did). Finished and waited for server to return. Eventually had to go to front desk again and ask for check. Girl at front desk didn't seem to think that asking for everything at desk was an issue. Oblivious. Wouldn't reccomend or return.
Delicious brunch. Best chocolate croissants ever - and I am spoiled with amazing French bakeries back home!!
When I made the reservation the website was not well publicized that the Mother's Day Brunch was a different price from the regular Sunday Brunch so I was shocked when I arrived and saw the price was $69.99 pp! I told the hostess and they offered us a 20% discount. That was still more than I wanted to pay and it was already 1 pm and I knew I probably would have to wait an hour or more at another restaurant so we paid it for our party of seven! I don't think I will ever pay that much for another brunch no matter what the occasion.
Excellent special occasion brunch/buffet -- we went for Mother's Day. For the offering, I think the price was a little on the steep end. Food was very good -- but I would not characterize it as outstanding. I think they should have at least two prices -- one price for brunch with champagne, then another price for without champagne for the non-drinkers. They ran out of desserts I wanted to try early -- the coconut macaroons and the crème brulee; I don't consider this acceptable given we paid the same price as the early diners (plus we arrived at 1:00 and last seating was at 2:30). Overall, a good dining experience and celebration.
We had Mother's Day Brunch that was one of the best ever. So much selection of food & great Prime Rib. The food is freshly made & my daughter loved the garlic potatoes. Upon arrival, Moms were given a rose by the valet & again upon restaurant check in. The entire staff is friendly, kind and very attentive. There was a beautiful ice sculpture at the entrance with a selfie station. The Champagne was free flowing!
If you want a wonderful dining experience for Mother's Day then choose Sea View at the Hyatt. Bon Appatit!
We came here for the Mother's Day brunch. It was excellent! We were greeted warmly by the hostess. Great food and service. The restaurant even provided flowers to all the mothers.
Seaview 's Mother's Day Brunch was outstanding, the food, service and overall experience was great. We will return for sure !!!!!!!!!!
We had an amazing time and the service outstanding. We have known Sammy since Laels and it was a pleasure to see him again. We love him!
Sit outside for breakfast, is more quite and a breathe of fresh air!!
This is the breakfast restaurant for the Hyatt Manchester Grand Hotel and offered a buffet meal. Food was good, and the buffet was kept stocked, but not as much diversity in the food as one might expect. This is a convenient place for a business meal where the focus is on business and not on the meal.
Great place for a special family brunch.. then walk around Seaport Village.
Average buffet at a hotel.
Thank you for letting me have a wonderful Easter with my family. The service and food along with the ambience and welcoming of the staff made it even more memorable.
We enjoyed ourselves and you made my second Easter with my love Cristina and my other love Samantha one that we will keep in our memories.
Thank you!!

While in town for the San Diego Airshow, we stayed at the Manchester Hyatt and ate breakfast buffet at the Seaview restaurant there. Very bright and open dining room, high ceilings, plenty of natural light. It was super clean, and functioned well to serve buffet breakfast and other meals. Friendliness and helpfulness of all restaurant staff was very good here, and the hot buffet food was extremely tasty. Best bacon we've had at a hotel, and we loved the made-to-order omelettes. Plenty of fresh ripe fruit, muffins, waffles, eggs, sausage, etc. You can choose to sit at the small outdoor patio with umbrellas with a peak view of seaport village and a bit of it's harbor. (Nice place to walk around after breakfast too). Next time in town we will stay at this wonderful hotel and eat breakfast here at the Seaview room again. $23 Saturday buffet was well worth the money and convenience.
Had a very pleasant meal for breakfast there and will use them for the entire duration of my stay in San Diego.
Excellent breakfast buffet - lots of fresh dishes to choose from. Great location. I think our server was having an off day, so I can't blame the restaurant.
The brunch was excellent. There was a lot of people coming at our arrival and there was some confusion on the part of the receptionist in giving tables to people who were just coming without reservations and our group of four who had a reservation. The receptionist had told me to stand near the reception area and they would announce my name shortly, but I saw all these others who were getting beepers, being given tables before us. So, I went to her and asked when we would be getting a table and she said she was sorry for the delay and got us a table. It was only about 15 minutes late and not a big deal.
Delicious food and variety of selections. Food was very fresh and they had smoked salmon, omelette bar, waffles with toppings and many other options. The only downside is they added 18% gratuity to the bill, which I thought was excessive for a buffet.
We went to the Seaview for the Christmas Buffet . It was absolutely stunning and perfect in every way. Everything was absolutely superb top-quality from their king crab, prime rib, side dishes, salads, exotic cheeses, beautiful desserts and spectacular decorations.
Table is really small. The family of us (4 adults + 2 kids) were put in a high stand table usually you will find fits 4 people max. The plates are normal size so ends up the table is super crowded. Also it's not super family friendly to put kids (the youngest is only 2) into high stand table (they stack two high chairs together for one kid to make up the height for them to reach the table. Not even sure if this is even safety compliant). Also service is not good at all. Server made you feel requesting any from her is asking her for a big favor. Will not recommend sorry.
The food was excellent the service was excellent location okay was hoping for a water view being a single Diner they stuck me in the back by the service desk next to some obnoxious people went for Thanksgiving, probably won't do it again.
