   The restaurant advertised an Irish breakfast with step dancing entertainment. The food was excellent. A little short on some main items for full irish breakfast, but excellent cuisine. Our table service was almost non-existent. When the bill arrived, I understood why. 3 adults and 1 toddler, 21% gratuity included in the bill. Why give good service, when you are guaranteed a large tip. I should also mention that there was no step dancing or even irish music. Although the meal was good, it was not worth $39 per adult, with mimosas extra. Sadly, disappointed. I think they should have done a better job.

   We had a reservation and upon arriving they told us the restaurant was closed. It was Christmas and they devastated our evening.

   Awful. Understaffed to the point they should have closed. Price fix for the holiday. Food was over cooked. Drinks came very late and gratuity was added in the bill with the holiday. No offer of follow up drinks, coffee etc. atmosphere was lovely at the beach but for the price, I would never go back.

   Food itself was tasty but cold. Drinks came after our first course. Tried to be patient because of the holiday but I won’t be going back for a holiday. Waiter did take an amount off and took some wine we had off the bill. If they had a better staff I think it would have been a better experience.

   The restaurant is very nice has a view of the ocean. Service was good, the buffet itself was more than adequate. Wine list is limited.

    Horrible. They tried to seat us at an 8 top for 3 ppl. Then I asked to move them a 6 top. I asked again. Maybe he didn’t hear me table for 3 and gave us 5 top. The waiter then asked if I was senior over 65. I’m barely 50 and been told I look 35. Then no one barely cleared our dishes due to buffet style. Then added 21% tip. Horrible not worth told never coming back. I recommend. Go elsewhere the service sucked

    Overall it was OK. In the past I would've rated this 4 or 5 but the upkeep has gone down. We were seated by windows & when I looked down on sill there was fifth; dust,dirt, & leftover crumpled paper . Disgusting ..wasn't wiped for ages. When I asked the waiter if there were any specialty drinks or a menu he looked annoyed & pointed to the mimosa special on table . I didn't mean that..I meant " specialty " as in what I found when I walked to restrooms ,& there was a menu of Special drinks near water jugs. He should've brought us that! The waiter didn't seem to understand English well.." Tell me what u want illa get it"! Manhattan, bloodymary..?Really! That is not a specialty drink. The pumpkin & chocolate were but we didnt see that till after our meal . For the price, I think food, waitstaff & cleanliness of the place is way overrated. The ambiance of course nice, near water. But upkeep Nah..not good . I wonder what the rooms are like...??! Years ago it was a great place to stay.

    Thanksgiving dinner at Seaview restaurant in Long Branch was absolutely delicious. The turkey was very moist and the butter squash ravioli were fabulous. I loved the pecan pie. We will definitely join them again.

    We made reservations and showed up on time. There was no one at the front of the restaurant and no one knew if the restaurant was open or not. If it isn’t open why let reservations come through. We finally got the bartender to help us and order food through him. He was very nice but the rest of the nights and service at this restaurant was horrible. The other bartenders only worried about talking to their coworkers and was very very rude with no personality. We tried to order room service and no one downstairs even knew if the restaurant, again, was even open no one was answering their phones to call down. We finally were able to order food and no one even knew what was on their menu. Just crazy this place has gone down hill in so many ways and it’s really sad to see.

    Despite the negative reviews on the Intenet we were happily surprised that things were clearly better than what was mentioned. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The food was average for a buffet and the ambiance was pleasant. We did not have to wait to be seated. Our table was ready and reserved. We are counting on coming back to try the menu.

    Service staff were not very welcoming. There was a trainee that was great to us. But I was told by the staff, that they weren't aware there was a reservation for 8 that night. Overall, food was good. Drinks were good.

    My children and I had a reservation for the Mother's Day Brunch. The food and service was ok. I am disappointed because they did not serve many of the items that listed for the Mother's Day Brunch. I was looking forward to having lamb chops and crab legs.

    It was all buffet but, not enough of a variety or level to charge $60 per person with an automatic gratuity of 20%. Alcohol was additional. We had been to dinner buffets there in the past and had the choices of lobster, oysters etc for the same price but despite some variety, not anything special.

    The place is in a hotel, so they charge you parking which is not validated. 30$ if you’re not a hotel guess which isn’t mentioned anywhere. Food was great, service did the best they could being understaffed (our server was excellent!)- but it was extremely expensive for what it was. Definitely not going back.

    So poorly mismanaged. We arrived for our 7:30 seating, and at 8:15 my husband finally went to the bar for our drinks, but waited 15 minutes there…so an hour later we had something to drink. Our waitress kept forgetting who ordered what with everyone around us. The people across from us had a 6:30 seating and received their dinners at around 8:30. We left without ever eating anything at around 8:45. No offer of anything but water. No flowers, no candlelight, no music. The host said they only had two waitstaff, and apologized. With a planned event at a hotel, one would think that they would have staffed it more appropriately, or taken on less reservations. It definitely didn’t seem like a kitchen issue. We wound up going elsewhere, where the service was excellent and the food as well. Most disappointing!

    We chose this restaurant because they had a valentine weekend special dinner. We made 7:30 reservations and we’re on time. We should have known when it took us 10 minutes to be seated there was a service issue with not enough staff. We were shown our table and sat there for almost 20 minutes before anyone came over to us. It wasn’t the staffs fault, there just was enough of them. We finally ordered a drink, and without exaggeration, it took one full hour to get it. There is a huge bar in front of the restaurant with a hundred people sitting there and only one bartender. The food finally came out and was delicious, but the lack of service made the evening very tense and unpleasant. Once the staffing issue gets fixed, this is a great place for dinner

    The restaurant took a reservation for brunch at 11:30am on a Sunday however when I showed up for the reservation, the restaurant was closed. When I inquired at the front desk, I was told that “when hotel occupancy is low, they sometimes forego opening the restaurant.” Would have been great to know that there was no brunch before my friends and I showed up that day. How hard would it be for whomever there that is responsible for managing Open Table to ensure that the system only takes reservations for when they’re actually open?

    My husband and I enjoyed the Buffet at Ocean Place. The atmosphere, the excellent service made this event worthwhile. We hve not dined out in in a very long time and made the decision to attend the Buffet. We are happy with our decision and we are waitin for Valentines Day event at your facility.

    It was very expansive for the buffet spread they had. Other places nearby have better options for dinner.., they didn’t tell the buffet price in advance so it came as a shock to me

    The service was so slow that we couldn’t get drinks served until we were done eating. The dirty dishes were not picked up from the table so we could return to the Buffett to continue eating what we paid for. The waitress kept apologizing and disappearing without working. We couldn’t get the bill in time and missed the fireworks. Gratuity was excessively built into the bill without any service. The food was below average.

    We ran into traffic and was 15 min late. I called several times on the way and kept getting the answering machine and I left a message saying we would be 15 minutes late. We arrived 15 min late and they said they knew nothing about our reservation. When we arrived have the restaurant was empty and they looked confused and said they don’t take reservations. They got the manager. We were soft and gentle and never raised our voice and caused any attention. The manager came out yelling at us. I asked her to lower her voice and calm down and she said that’s how she speaks. They refused to serve us…. By the way it was my birthday brunch…. It’s not the same place it used to be 4-5 years ago … lower quality service and atmosphere. We went to McCloones for lunch instead with no reservations and it was lovely. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Ocean Place Seaview !!!

    So this isn't really a restaurant, it's just an area in the lobby. It took almost 10 minutes to get seated. Once done, it took almost 20 minutes to get a drink which was wrong. They were clearly understaffed, the hostess was taking orders and the bartender was running food. Hard to really give a fair assessment when the staffing wasn't up to the crowd, not that it was super busy but overall disappointing
