Arrived at 1150pm for a 12am reservation after paying for valet parking hostess said they are closed I said I have a reservation she said yeah open table is wrong and we aren't linked up with them but I do see it. She then got a manager who said I'll put that you were seated at the bar so you don't get charged the $50pp cancellation fee. No apology, remorse etc. We drove 25 minutes from our hotel in Doral to dine there. Ridiculous!
Great food. We went for Miami spice lunch. The waiter took long to get to us but other than that everything was great.
Great friends, great food, great service and the bewitching ambience was wonderful. The only downside was the downpour of rain that caused us to move indoors and also wait several minutes at the end of our evening to exit. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant again in the near future.
I went for Miami Spice for brunch. I had the tagliatelle which I would not recommend, and definitely don’t pay the extra $10 for the black truffles. The malanga fritters were good and the chocolate desert was delicious. Just wish I had gotten a different entree - the pasta was very mediocre. Feels like I could’ve made it in a rush at home. Barely any flavor - even with the truffles.
The food was great
It was hard to decide what to order since the menu offers amazing options. After we tried a few, some dishes were great but others were missing flavor like the sea bass. When pries are high, we expect perfect dishes... In this case the parmesan truffle pasta was lacking in salt and the wagyu beef even though it was amazing, the size of the portion was disappointing. The ambience was beautiful and service very good. The salads very tasteful and fresh and the hamachi a must. I would like to give it a second chance to try other dishes.
The environment was great. The service was great. The food was just OK. Maybe the kitchen was off their game that day but for the hype that I’d heard—and for the price that I paid— my dish seemed a bit average. Not mind-blowing, just average.
Went on for a weekday date to sample their Miami Spice menu. With all of the add ons dinner came to ~$160. Overall just an ok experience and the food was hit and miss. The view was lovely though, even with the rain.
Appetizers: (crispy tempura squash blossoms): not sure what we as expecting but it was different.
1-Pan seared local black grouper: not sure what pan they used but there was no searing. The fish was very white and the red wine fumet smeared on top.
2-Chilean Sean bass: was NOT worth the $21 up charge. It was like a chunk of fish but not flavorful. Usually a fave dish but this version missed the mark.
1-Tres leches: served in mini mason jar. It was a cute take on the dish and tasted good
2-Guanaja chocolate cremaso: just no. Mix of flavors tasted weird
The place is beautiful and the brunch food was good. Even though we had a reservation we waited an hour to be seated. It’s a bit pricey but the view, decor and ambiance make it worth it.
Have gone 100’s of times and hosted business dinners at Seaspice. Love the restaurant but had the most unacceptable experience. It was my birthday and were sitting the by the water - they decided to take a last minute reservation for 30 and tell us it was an emergency. Didn’t offer to move us and this party turned into a crazy mess setting up and breaking down and the people in attendance.
Would hesitate to return
Good food, but very slow service. We waited 30-40 minutes in between plates. Not to mention there is a mandatory 18% tip on a party of 2. Not worth it.
Fantástico! We had the Miami Spice menu and it was very good.
The service was excelent and the view , AMAZING!!!
Location, ambiance and setting superb.
Price in the stratosphere. Overly expensive with moderately sized portions.
Waitress referred to me from the moment we met as "my love". This was unacceptable and she continued to use these words throughout the evening.
When the bill arrived, an 18% gratuity was added. This was TOO high for the service we received. I would have left a MAXIMUM of the traditional 15%. However, the waitress made it a point to inform me that this tip was a SHARED tip and that I could leave an ADDITIONAL tip for her. I refused to do so and she immediately showed her DISPLEASURE.
We will NOT be visiting this restaurant again.
Food was mediocre. Seating process was a mess. Server was good, but not great.
We mentioned it was our anniversary and there was 0 recognition.
2 stars from this experience falls squarely on management. Our reservation was honored 38 minutes after we arrived on time, awkward & tiring to wait at a standing room only bar - defeats the entire point of having a reservation. Then we were seated simultaneously with 3 other tables, all in the same section, all with the same waiter who was clearly instantly in the weeds by this disorganized arrangement. It was aggravating to not be able to order immediately after having waited so long to be seated, as the waiter had to great each table and take each tables drink order. However, more aggravating to see management put our waiter in this position to being with. Sends a clear message that the quantity of turn over is the priority in this place, not the quality of experience. Spice brunch menu was a big bust for us both overall. I did like the flavor of the gazpacho, a surprising hearty taste while feeling light on the palate. We both enjoyed what we thought were the malanga fritters, until we discovered we were mis-served another’s order of the regular menu’s King Crab Croquettes - which were amazing. When the malanga fritters came, they were over fried, burnt, and dry. Big let down after the King Crab. Then another order of the King Crab was attempted to be served to us, but this time the man sitting next to us intervened and had the order properly directed to his table. Lobster benedict was good for the egg preparation, the quality of lobster, but the hash brown bedding was also over done, over greasy, and ruined the overall taste combination. The burger was over cooked, fully brown on an order for a medium burger, the bun was stale and flaking apart. I had the chocolate cremoso and found it way too rich to be served at brunch. My partner enjoyed his tres leches enough that he didn’t want to share!
The place is a hidden gem on the river. The Restaurant itself is excellent. The Miami Spice menu is kinda cheesy on the portions they give u for $24.00 (Sample Size), but the food tastes delicious. Very nice to go with wife for a special occasions, significant others and/or partner. I would say, its not a hangout for guys to drink beer and watch TV, even though; its great for the ladies to have a wonderful cocktail in the 3 bars they have. Overall, I recommend the restaurant. The worst part of it, is the parking. Only Valet and a night mare, especially when all the "Miami Papi's " who think they are rich, show up in a Bentley or Lamborghini and get special treatment, yet they are pending there car to be repossessed by the Feds.
We were 5 friends to have brunch and we had a good time!
We ordered a vodka with blackberries and orange and it was so good!
Fabulous! Good food, perfect service!
Amazing dinner with amazing service!!!
Beautiful spot! Love the atmosphere! We started at the bar, had dinner and returned to the bar afterwards again. Everyone was super friendly and we had a great time!
Amazing dishes across the menu! Beautiful setting! Great music! Outstanding service!
Big thank you to our server, Esteban, for taking such great care of us!!
We had an excellent time!
Probably the worst service ever!
We had reservations for brunch at 12:30 only to be told we have to wait to be seated. After a few minutes we asked the hostess what's was the hold up. She mentioned we had to wait a bit by the bar as our table opened up. 25 mins later we went back to the hostess as to the hold up as plenty of tables were clearly available. We were seated at about 1pm. Once we were seated our waiter and his assistance were great. As we sat and waited for our drinks, I couldn't help but notice that it appeared as if they were still setting up. Many of their staff were bringing food out to the incorrect tables, staff were just all over the place. Once we ordered, I specifically mentioned I had a food allergy and needed the food to be cooked a specific way. We ordered from the Miami Spice Brunch Menu and received our apps right away. Then we waited over 40 mins for our main dish. Many tables were seated after us and they were finishing their desserts. We complained to the manager only to get a poor excuse on how it was raining causing an issue with the delay on the food. UNACCEPTABLE! Once we finally we served our food, the food was cooked incorrectly. We mentioned this to the server and manager came over only to give me a sorry excuse. We waited over 25 mins afterwards for dessert. At this point I went over to speak to the manager once more and he just kept apologizing. The manager Paul or Nick (can't recall his name) did not charge us for the drinks and my meal. He then took the service charge of 18% from the bill. They should have comp the whole meal and allowed us to leave tip to our waiter as he was not the problem, it was the disaster in the kitchen. This was the worst experience ever! Will never come back. Wish I could give them a zero!
Great service, really nice food. Cool ambiance
Absolutely outstanding service, amazing food and the ambiance was largely romantic
Great food very expensive good views of the water not much English spoken
excellent ambiance, food and service....very recommended!
Excellent Miami SPice menue was excellent . Inside or outside are just great depending on your preference. Would highly recommend it specially during miami spice
Good food and great atmosphere.
Lovely restaurant choice to kick of Miami Spice for 2019. Very nice and assorted brunch options. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, as was the outside seating area. We were worried it would get very hot as it was a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon in Miami, but the covered patio, umbrellas and fans were plenty. The waiter was not kidding when he said they served the best Tres Leches in Miami!
Went for Miami Spice Brunch food was amazing, must try the blue berry sangria.
This was my first time going to Seaspice and it exceeded my expectations and beyond. From the food to service, I was taken aback by the experience. The managers and servers were amazing. I have found my new favorite restaurant. Thank you and I think every restaurant in Miami should take notes from your establishment.
Although the food was very good, the service was absent. For only two people dining, they managed to serve the wrong courses throughout. This shows an incompetently trained staff or one that does not care.
Buena comida, escenario romántico hasta que pasaban los buques remolcados y empezó a llover (no tienen techos de cierre automático)
El servicio bueno pero con mucha prisa de cerrar...desde las 12 Querina corrernos...
Very nice restaurant and excellent food. Easy to park.
I have eaten all over the world. This was the finest dining experience I have ever had. Everything about it was fantastic. Well done to all the Team.
Amazing ambience and service!
